"I am scared," Siyeon said, breaking the silence on the breakfast table.

"Why?"

"My sister knows I'm here. What will she do with that information? I bet she told him. What is he gonna do?"

"Hey, everything will be fine, okay?"

"I don't want to put you in danger. Maybe I should just go back."

"Do you want that? Do you want that old life back? I personally would rather die than knowing what he is gonna do to you. No. You're not going back. No matter what. You're staying here."

Siyeon remained silent. "But-"

"No. I don't care if I'm in danger, okay? You are not going back to him. I'd rather do it myself, as long you're safe I don't care. Stop that stupid bullshit."

"Okay..."

"Let's go, we're going to be late for school," I said and stood up, bring my bowl in the kitchen. Siyeon followed me.

My mother wasn't up yet, so we left the house in silence.

When we reached the school, Yeonjung spotted us.
She came towards us.

I rolled my eyes. Couldn't that bitch just leave us in peace?

"Hello, you two," Yeonjung said. I walked past her, not even giving her a bit of attention.

"Hey, dont ignore me, you brat!"

"Says you," I just shortly replied.

She grabbed my arm, but I yanked her hand away.

"What is your problem with leaving us alone? I don't wanna talk to you. Just go to your friends!"

"Okay then," Yeonjung replied. She turned away and left.

"Bitch," I murmured.

"I don't want to go home yet. Let's go for a walk or something," I suggested as we were passing the school gate.

"Sure," Siyeon replied with a smile.

So we turned to the opposite direction and headed towards the park. If I only knew what happened next, I wouldn't have done that.

We were peacefully walking on the sidewalk when Siyeon suddenly panicked.

"Minji, turn around," she whispered.

"Huh?"

I looked over my shoulder to see an old looking car following us slowly.

"Oh damn."

"It's my father. He must've saw where we were going. Too bad that here isn't someone else. I-I think we're in danger!"

I bit my bottom lip while thinking about what to do. But I didn't come far when suddenly the car was driving beside us. The front window was open.

"Oh shit - what is he gonna do?"

I switched my position with Siyeon's, so that I was walking between the car and her.

"Hey, you girl! I think you have something that belongs to me!" the man shouted.

I ignored him, but Siyeon grabbed my hand. She was sweating heavily as I noticed. I squeezed her hand a little bit to tell her to calm down.

"Answer, you brat!"

Wow, that's the second time I got called brat in a day.

"Why should I talk to you? I don't even know who you are." I didn't look at him while speaking.

"Oh, I think we saw us before. And you still have something that's mine!"

"Then I don't remember, I'm sorry. And I barely believe I ever stole something from you."

"Hah! Liar! It's holding onto your hand!"

I didn't reply after that.

I saw Siyeon taking a quick glance at me, but I just kept my eyes fixed at the ground.

"Stop walking!"

I didn't listen to him and dragged Siyeon with me who was about to do so.

"Stop. Walking. I said!"

I still refused to, but now the other girl held me back.

"He has a g-gun..."

"He has what?" I asked.

I looked up just to see that the man had stopped the car and was pointing a gun straight at my face. My heart skipped a beat and I widened my eyes in shock.

"Are you now willing to listen to me?"

"No, never," I said, but now I was scared too. Wasn't he exaggerating a bit?

He unlocked the gun. I pushed Siyeon backwards until we reached the wall and stood in front of her, protecting her with my body.

"Shoot me, if you want. Wouldn't be the first time you kill someone."

He lowered the gun a bit and looked at me in disbelief. "What?" The man chuckled. "I never killed someone. Why should I?"

"See who's a liar? You're pointing a gun at me."

"You kidnapped my daughter!"

"And she's happy with it!"

"I want you to step aside. Immediately."

"You'll have to kill me to make me do it. I won't let her ever go back to you. Even if it's the last thing I do."

"That's what you want? You know how much I care?" He raised the gun again.

My heart started beating like crazy. That man was a total psycho!

"Minji, please don't do that... Just let me-"

"Never."

"He will kill you!"

"I don't care. If he touches you one more time I will kill him."

"What is so hard? Just come with her if you don't want her to be alone with me. I don't mind." He grinned disgustingly.

"None of us is coming with you, you freak!"

I flinched when I heard a loud bang. Shortly after I felt a sharp pain in my leg. I gasped.

Siyeon panicked. "W-what just happened?"

"Nothing. He just shot my leg," I said while biting my lip and surpressing a whimper. Fuck, what had gotten into him?

Suddenly I felt very angry. I even forgot the pain. I got an idea.

"Fine, we will come with you. But put down that gun!"

He grinned mischievously. "What a gun can do huh?" He laughed and put the gun away.

Let's see who laughes next.

I dragged Siyeon towards the car, trying to ignore the pain in my leg.

"What are you doing? I thought you-"

I shut her up with a glance and winked at her to tell her I knew what I was doing. I opened the door and pushed Siyeon towards it. She quickly sat down on the middle seat while I placed myself behind her father. Then I shut the door.

"Before you start-"

"What, you brat?" He looked at me through the mirror.

Three.

"Do you wanna know how your wife felt like when you were choking her?"

"I never choked anyone," he lied.

"Good for you."

"Why do you-"

I wrapped my arms around his neck from behind and pressed him against the seat with all my strength.

He gasped for air and tried to remove my arms from his neck, only causing me to bring up more force.

"That's what you deserve. Do you really think I would just listen to you because you shot my leg? You'd have to do more than that. Men are so naive, and that's why I hate them," I whispered.

I choked him until he was unconscious. Then I removed my arms from his neck.

"Weird. He didn't even do anything. Better for us, I guess."

I looked at Siyeon who was looking at me in shock.

"I-I think we should get a-away from here real quick," she stuttered.

"Good idea."

I took her hand and dragged her outside. I tried to walk but then noticed that my leg was still hurt. I took a closer look at it.

"Does it hurt much?" The other girl seemed worried.

I bit my lip. "The bullet just touched me, but it hurts a hell of a lot."

"C-can you walk? I f-feel like we should just go back the way we came..."

"Yeah, me too. But it will take a while. Oh man. If I only didn't suggest this..."

"You couldn't know," Siyeon said. "None of us could know that he would shoot your leg."

"He's a total psycho. Let's go now... I don't know how long it will take him to wake up again... And if he does, we better be far away."

"Yeah."

I slowly started limping forward, until my leg gave way under me and I fell on the knee of my non - injured leg.

"Ouch."

"Let me help you!"

Siyeon helped me to get on my feet again and supported me the rest of the way. It almost took forty minutes.

"Take my key. It's on the little part of my backpack."

I held onto a fencepost while she took the spare key out.

"Wow... That was a very eventful day," I said.

"Totally."
