"Mom, Dad, Jaehyun and Siyeon," Minji began, putting her chopsticks away. "I-I have to tell you something important. Which may make some of you mad..."

Her mom also put away her chopsticks. "You can tell us everything, darling," she said with a warm smile.

I also looked at her with interest.

"I don't know how Jaehyun will react to this."

Her brother looked up. "Just say it already."

The purple haired girl seemed nervous. She chewed on her bottom lip and I saw her playing with her fingers. "I don't know how to say this..."

"Just as it is," her dad said. "As long as it is no crime we will of course support you. You're our daughter after all."

"I hope you're not gonna tell us you robbed a bank or take drugs," Min-young said, chuckling right after.

Minji smiled a little. "No... It's not that... I am in a relationship now," she finally said.

I looked at my plate again, feeling a little sad. What was I even expecting? That I have a chance with her?

"Oh, if it's nothing more. Why would you be afraid to tell us?"

"Because it's not... A boy.."

Well, at least something.

"Hah! I told you!" Jaehyun exclaimed. "She's a lesbian!"

"Jaehyun, stop it! That's not really helping right now," her father scolded him.

Jaehyun snorted. "Just know you won't have any support from me."

"Just know that I don't care," Minji replied. "I don't want it anyway."

"Do we know her?" Min-young asked.

"I would bet a million dollars for a yes," Jaehyun joined in.

"That question wasn't dedicated to you. And if you don't stop, you can go to you room and stay there!"

"Pfft," the red haired boy made. "If you want that." He got up and left the room.

"What a drama-queen." Minji's dad shook his head. "So, who is it?"

Minji was quiet for a moment. "Yoohyeon," she then said.

Her parents seemed surprised, but I didn't show any expression. I kinda expected that answer.

"What a plot twist," her mom laughed.

"I think it's good that Jaehyun left. Just think about how he would have reacted to this."

"Yeah..." Minji started eating again and dinner went back to normal.

"What are you doing there?" I heard Minji's voice behind me.

"Enjoying the view, why?" I replied, swinging my legs. "The river looks beautiful at night."

"You're sitting on the windowsill with the window open. What would I think?"

I shrugged. "That I am enjoying the view."

"Defenitly not. I'd rather think you wanted to jump out."

"I was thinking about it," I said honestly and swung my legs again. I turned my head and looked at her with a bitter smile.

"W-why would you do that?"

"Think about it. You have a girlfriend now. I don't. You're happy. I am not. Why wouldn't I?" I turned around again.

"You wanted to jump out if the window because I have a girlfriend now?"

"You've captured it." I sighed.

I could feel her confusion even though she didn't say anything.

"But why-" Minji began when she got it. "Oh."

I let my eyes wander over the the dark river which looked like a dark band and disappeared in the distance. It was a beautiful view. I felt like crying, but i didn't know why.

I heard Minji stepping closer.

"Can you move a bit?" she asked.

I nodded and slid a bit to the side to make room for her. The purple haired girl climbed onto the windowsill and sat down beside me.

"Wow... That's really a beautiful view."

Just like you, I thought. But I didn't say that out loud. I looked at my feet and felt a tear running down my cheek. She will never feel the same way about me. I should just accept that.

I moved my gaze to Minji's feet. Her right ankle was still bandaged.

"D-does it still hurt?" I asked.

"What?"

"Where he shot you."

"When walking, yes. But I guess I won't die from it. It's almost healed completely."

I just hummed and moved my eyes to the dark river and the city behind it again. A loud noise appeared and a plane crossed by.

"Woah. It flies so low," Minji noticed, sounding stunned.

"It's about to land," I explained.

The next few minutes I spent with thinking about how romantic this whole situation could be. Would she enjoy it more if Yoohyeon would be sitting here instead of me? I shook my head. My fantasies were going places...

Minji moved a bit closer to me and put her head on my shoulder. She sighed.

"I am so sorry."

"For what...?"

"You know what I mean."

"It's fine," I said with a bitter smile.

"If you say that... But please know, me in a relationship doesn't mean you're less important to me, okay?"

"I hope so..."

"Oh please. Who would I be if I suddenly left you? That wouldn't be fair at all. I like you far to much to do that."

I smiled. "That's good to know."

She chuckled. "Shouldn't we go to sleep? It's late already."

"But it's weekend and I kinda like the vibe of this," I complained.

"Okay... Five more minutes," she said. "I am really tired." As if to prove it, she yawned right after.

I hummed.

"You know what? I never did these kind of things, I mean sitting on the windowsill. I have never done that. But it's actually really chill."

"I always did that with my mother," I said.

"Oh."

I chuckled. "She would always tell me funny stories."

"I don't have any funny stories to tell."

"You don't have to. You're not my mother after all. And sitting like this and talking, or not talking, is enjoyable for me too."

"That's good." Minji yawned again and I sighed.

"It's okay, we can go to bed."

"Yey." The purple haired girl took her head off my shoulder and jumped inside of her room again.

I followed her and closed the window.

Minji was already laying on the bed when I was just changing my clothes.

"You're fast when you're tired, huh?" I chuckled.

The other girl just hummed in agreement.

"Yoohyeon wants to come over today," Minji said while eating breakfast. "Is that okay?"

"Sure!" her mother said.

"Thanks, mom."

"Are you still keeping up with that singing thing anyways?"

"She said she'll bring her guitar," Minji said. "So I guess yes."

"Oh! Would she be bothered if I asked her if she can sing a song for me?"

"I guess not. And if, you wouldn't notice it, since she doesn't want to be rude," Minji explained.

"What a nice girl," her mother replied.

Later, when Yoohyeon and Minji were upstairs, I sat on the couch, just staring into the air and not knowing what to do. I nibbled on my fingernails and felt like crying.

A bit later someone sat beside me. I turned my head and saw that it was Jaehyun.

"Did you notice that we never really talked with each other?" he said.

I just hummed in agreement.

"Seems like you feel the way I do."

"What do you mean?" I asked, still zoned out.

"You know, that thing with my sister and Yoohyeon."

I looked at him. "How would you know?"

"I am a boy, but I am neither stupid nor blind, even if I look like that."

I hummed again and smiled bitterly. "But that's how it is. Life. I hate it."

"Well, I can't really relate to that, but yeah sometimes life is a bitch."

"Indeed," I agreed. "I have a question for you."

"What is it?"

"Why are you being mean to your sister?"

It was quiet for a while before he answered.

"Because... I don't know how to feel about this situation. You know... Minji's with Yoohyeon now. I feel like I can't really accept that since I still love her... I feel rejected, if you know what I mean."

"I know what you mean..."

I stared at our reflection in the TV and saw him staring at me.

"What's up?" I asked and looked at him.

"I don't know... Somethings weird."

"Weird? About me or...?"

"No... It's so quiet. You can't hear them laughing from upstairs and not even Cherry is making noises."

"Maybe they are talki-" I began, when it suddenly rumbled upstairs.

"It's becoming scary."

"Let's go and look," I said and stood up. He grabbed my arm.

"We won't die, right?"

"Are you being serious? It's more like one of them fell or something like that."

"Okay." Jaehyun let go of me and we walked upstairs. We could hear laughing noises.

"See? They seem okay."

I knocked on the door and opened it just to see Yoohyeon laying on the floor like a starfish and Minji laughing her ass off on the bed.

"What happened? We could hear it from downstairs," I said.

"You explain," Minji wheezed.

"Why me? That's mean. And just for your information: Ouch."

The other girl just kept laughing while Yoohyeon sat herself up.

"Ugh," she made. "I slipped on that - panty that little miss dropped here. And now I am getting laughed at." She pointed on a panty laying in front of her.

Me and Jaehyun couldn't hold it back and started laughing too.

Yoohyeon gasped. "Wow, really. I am coming here and instantly get bullied. What a nice household." She kicked the panty.

While we still kept laughing, Yoohyeon got up and sat on the armchair, pouting and killing everybody in this room with her gaze.

"This hurts. Not only physically but it also hurt my pride. How could you."

"Sorry, darling, I didn't mean to hurt you but it's just to funny," Minji said and laughed again.

"Of course," the other girl replied and rolled her eyes. "Now could you stop laughing, please? It's embarrassing enough."
