Chapter 95 | Pushing and Shoving

Uraraka's Pov.

"Then go return it to Jiro now," Uraraka smirked at him.

  "Wait, what!?" Kaminari exclaimed.

She looked around at everyone's faces, and they all seemed to be taken aback.

'They would believe me even less if they knew the actual dare!'

"I'm not joking," Uraraka told him, "That's hers."

"That's going to be one awkward conversation..." Kaminari mumbled to himself.

"Yeah it is, now she probably wants it back, so you should go give it to her," Uraraka wanted to try this whole matchmaking thing for once. Why did it feel so great?

"I don't know..." Kaminari replied, rubbing the back of his head, "I could probably wait until later..."

"Wow, I've never seen Kaminari so flustered," Deku muttered to her.

"I know right?" Uraraka smirked more.

"But please don't turn into an Ashido while this is happening..." Deku pleaded quietly.

"Don't worry, this is just a one time thing," Uraraka promised.

'Deku doesn't even know my plan for my confession...'

"What are you guys whispering about?" Mina whispered.

"Agh!" everyone but Todoroki and Ojiro yelped. (And Mina wasn't scared, she was the one who appeared out of no where!)

"Oh yeah! I was listening to your conversation earlier! Kaminari, go give Jiro that hair clip, she was just telling me how much she missed it," Mina pushed him all the way there. Kaminari's face turned a little red.

  "Er... Okay?" Ojiro commented.

  Mina came back over.

'Now I know what's going on...'

"Momo needs help Todoroki," Mina looked at him.

"Why would you be telling me this?" Todoroki asked. Again, his voice was emotionless, but he appeared to have a slight blush, and she means the slightest blush she had ever seen on any living being.

"'Cause I know she trusts you!" Mina started to shove him over to Momo. Todoroki's face looked emotionless, but she could pick up slightly darker blush than before.

"Why can't you help her then?" Todoroki asked.

  "Because I'm busy," Mina insisted.

And then she came back to the three remaining, which was now only her, Deku and Ojiro (who looked a little anxious because he knew that he was next.)

"Oh yeah! Toru wanted to talk to you Ojiro," Mina was obviously lying after what she did to Todoroki and Kaminari.

"Why do I have the feeling that-" Ojiro was cut off by Mina pushing him over to Toru, not even giving him a chance.

  Mina walked back over.

'Oh no... What's gonna happen now?'

"Thanks for getting that started Ochaco!" Mina thanked her, "Maybe you could join Toru and I in our matchmaking hobby."

"Sorry Mina, but I promised Deku that I wouldn't," Uraraka felt heat rush to her her face when she realized how ridiculous the reason was.

"That's too bad... Well, catch ya guys later!" Mina walked away, waving.

"That's weird, why did she let us of the hook?" Deku wondered aloud.

Uraraka felt herself blush even more.

  "No reason!" Uraraka answered quickly.

'I can't let you know about my confession just yet...'

Deku's Pov.

It was already really strange that Ashido let Uraraka and him off the hook, but why was Uraraka acting strange now? Was it something he said?

"Are you okay?" he questioned Uraraka.

"Oh yeah! Completely fine!" Uraraka responded quickly that time too... What was going on? Was it because of that truth or dare thing from last night?

"Um... Okay..." Deku could tell that she was lying, or at least telling a half truth. Or was it something else? "If you have anything you want or need to tell me ever, just do it. You're my best friend after all..."

Those last words hurt his heart... Why did he even mention that at all if it was only going to hurt him?

And yet... Uraraka sighed and looked away from him, like the thing that Deku had said to reassure her, only made everything worse... And he probably did say something wrong... He could feel it in his heart...

  Deku sighed too.

"Well, do you want to eat some pancakes?" Uraraka changed the subject.

"Yeah, that'd be nice," Deku smiled at her. She looked up into his eyes and smiled back.

They both went up to Tsu. He noticed that Tokoyami left and was now sitting in a dimly lit corner.

"Over there, ribbit," Tsu pointed at two plates over on the counter.

'Wow, we didn't even need to say anything.'

He noticed that she had done the same thing that she always did when she made them pancakes... Tsu put two half hearts on them.

Deku blushed, and noticed that Uraraka was blushing too.

He took his plate and took a forkful of his pancake.

  "They're good!" Uraraka smiled.

"Yeah!" Deku agreed as he swallowed the piece on his fork.

About a minute later, Deku saw Ashido pushing Tokoyami up to Tsu.

"Ashido said you need my help... but I'm pretty sure she's just lying..." Tokoyami sighed, looking at the other pairs that Ashido pushing together.

"Well, I'm busy, bye!" Ashido said it fast and then ran over somewhere. Probably to watch all the pairs she set up.

"And I was right... Bye..." Tokoyami started to go back to his corner.

"Wait, ribbit," Tsu said, "I... did need your help, ribbit."

Deku was surprised that she went along with Ashido.

"But I didn't even see you talking to her earlier," Tokoyami pointed out.

"Well, I still need your help, ribbit," Tsu insisted, "I need help mixing more batter because I'm running out, ribbit."

"I guess I could help..." Tokoyami walked back closer.

Uraraka led Deku away from the pair.

"Why did we walk away?" Deku wondered out loud

"You might not understand," Uraraka told him, "Shipping stuff."

"I'm not even going to question that..." Deku sighed.

"Oh yeah!" Uraraka looked like she remembered something.

  "What is it?" Deku asked.

"Could you meet me by the cherry tree after school?" Uraraka's face was red.

  "Why?" Deku questioned her.

"Oh! Er... It's just that... We never really get any time to hang out anymore! With all this craziness!" Uraraka kind of shouted it, but not quite loud enough for everyone else to hear.
