The two of them activated Susano. Sasuke's got his arrow ready to shoot Kabuto while Itachi threw disks at the ceiling around Kabuto. The arrows hit the Kabuto's snake tail. He started to fall to the ground; Sasuke tried to hit him with his sword.

"He wants to steal my sword to cut his snake tail and run away." Sasuke said.

Itachi advanced towards Kabuto but then was pierced by the sword.

"I told you...not to fret..." Kabuto said.

Kabuto's tail got free while Itachi's dispersed into crows confusing Kabuto. While Kabuto was confused Itachi went to strike but only got his horns. Good....that made him a tiny bit less ugly.

"...I see....I forgot...I usually don't have horns here, after all..."

Sasuke and I stood beside Itachi. I didn't dare make eye contact with either of them. It's not the time for a reunion.

"I'm sure now you would be able to stop that wild boar." Itachi said to Sasuke.

"Before worrying about wild boars we should think about that snake there."

"Yeah........Mariah..."

"Yes?"

"Are you sure you can fight?" Itachi asked.

"Of course....I may not look it right now but I still have a lot of power."

"But your chakra level is so low."

"Yeah my chakra level but I still have something up my sleeve."

"You're never unprepared are you?"

"Nope, I've had this all planned since you died. This war will be over in no time."

"Confident as always."

"Yup."

I could feel eyes on me. Looked over I met Sasuke's dark onyx eyes.

"How funny." Kabuto laughed making all eyes on him. "Looking at you now you seem to go along pretty well. Even though you used to hate your brother so much...I can understand that something might have happened when you defeated Itachi....But I don't see what you might want to know from a dead person."

Sasuke's gaze went to Itachi.

".....The truth.." Sasuke answered.

"Didn't Madara already tell him the truth?" I wondered.

"Uh? Could it be that...ah..um..the way you said it...it sounds like you're suspicious of Itachi. Sasuke-kun...does that mean that you know the truth about him already? Now I see why after defeating him you didn't go back to the leaf...but on the other end entered Akatsuki to target the village! I see......now I understand many things about your behavior. So basically...you want to destroy the leaf because it made your brother suffer?"

Itachi and I both looked at Sasuke.

"You're not denying it...Anyway, you followed your brother this far because you want to hear the truth from him...you want to ask him the details about the whole story. I said it earlier, but yeah.....your brother is a liar....I know.... That's why....it's weird...Itachi went so far as to kill his own comrades to protect the leaf. Don't' you think what you're trying to do would be against his will? Actually, I'm the one that has a goal much like yours, Sasuke-kun! And I'm also the one who will continue what Orochimaru-sama had started, the crush of the leaf."

"Uh he talks too much," I complained.

"Think carefully....If you want to stab Itachi and Mariah in the back and come to my side you should do it now. Come on...you shouldn't feel guilty about it. He's dead after all, just a wooden doll. With Mariah....she's with the Leaf... You'd be going against her anyway so why not now and get her out of the way. Mariah..why do you still side with the leaf anyway? I heard what they did to you and your clan.

They ordered your parents to kill you and when they refused they planned to kill your whole clan. If the Akatsuki didn't kill them when they did then you'd be dead along with your clan. When you lived in the village they used you for power. You've been used your whole life so why do you even side with anyone? If I were you I'd destroy all the people who put you through pain."

Sasuke was silent.

"Tsk I don't like the idea of revenge............even though I've been used and betrayed by mostly everyone I know I could never kill innocent people." I replied.

"I'm not like you....My crushing of the leaf is just mine." Sasuke said.

"I can understand why Itachi did that.........I'm the same as him. I was indeed adopted by a leaf shinobi, but since no one knew where I came from they just brought me up as a spy right away...I was taught medical Ninjutsu so that the enemy could easily trust me. I traveled many countries, always as a spy. I was always pretending to be someone else, always lying. I didn't even understand who I really was anymore. I had no comrades who knew my real identity. I just kept on erasing my real self.

And when I lost track of who I was....the village of the leaf just stopped trusting me and removed me from missions. Itachi and I spent out lives working for the leaf, yet all we got in exchange is shame and dishonor. What did the village do for us? Your current resolve was molded by Itachi's actions and existence. I didn't die, so I was also molded like you. No one can understand you as perfectly as I can. I'll be your older brother and stay at your side. Come with me!"

"Who would want to be related to that?" I commented.

"Sasuke, don't listen to him. He was a better spy than me....In other words, he can lie better than I can. Also......The village does have its dark side and its inconsistencies but I'm still the leaf's Itachi Uchiha."

(Sniffle sniffle.....so beautiful!)

"Sasuke....it's my fault you became what you are now. I'm not really in the position for criticizing your decision but now that tings turned this way there is at least one thing that I want to say to you......After we settle our positions though. So let's stop him first."

"I'm the performer of the Edo Tensei, you cannot kill me. You can wound me, but my recovery speed will render that useless. I blocked my own eyesight, you eyes and genjutsu won't work with me. There's no way you can win! My Edo Tensei is invincible!"

"Well aren't you special?" I muttered.

"His speech is really annoying, but his explanation has a point." Itachi said.

"I can tell that myself...so what do we do?" Sasuke asked.

"He doesn't know the real strength of Uchiha."

"And Kira," I added.

"Uchiha's eyes have a power able to affect the enemy regardless of their five senses. In exchange of losing their own light...." Itachi said ignoring me.

"Izanagi?" Sasuke questioned.

"You know Izanagi?"

"Danzo used it when I was fighting him."

"It's impressive that you survived that....."

"Whatever, how do you use Izanagi?"

"It's not Izanagi. It's another one, that forms a pair with it."

"Another one? I asked.

"It's already prepared. The ultimate eye jutsu that holds his destiny." Itachi said.

Kabuto lunged forwards towards us.

"Izanami." Itachi said blocking Kabuto's attack with his sword.

They both jumped away from each other.

"If Izanagi is a jutsu that change destiny, Izanami can decide it! Sasuke, Mariah, stay close to me."

The three of us got into a fighting stance. Kabuto landed on the ground.

"I don't know what you're trying to do, but nothing's going to work against me! I think you still don't understand who I am!" Kabuto said making a hand sign.

Suddenly the ground shook.....spikes started to come at us from the ceiling. There were mostly directed towards Sasuke. I sprang into action seeing that Itachi was going to take the hit himself but I pushed him out of the way causing me to be the target. I was punctured in the leg, stomach, and arm. Both Itachi and Sasuke looked at me with fear, worry, and shock on their faces.

"......Heh...........you should...........see......your faces..." I said weakly.

"Mariah!" They both shouted in concern.

"She protected you both despite her past injuries. And for what? Someone who is already dead and a criminal who has broken her heart so many times. So Mariah, how are you feeling?" Kabuto said.

"Go die.....in a hole...you freak." I spat.

"Awe that hurt. I thought that you hated the word freak."

"Shut up..."

"Well you're going to die if you lose even more blood my dear.....I guess you can go and join your little demon. Oh what was his name? Tadashi right?"

"Shut up,"

"Awe, did I strike a nerve?"

"Possibly,"

Sasuke looked over at me giving me a questioning look.

"Well now, I'm just going to get you die. Now Itachi I'm just going to overwrite your mind so you'll be on my side once again."

Kabuto lunged forward but was stopped when Sasuke activated Amaterasu. The flames were surrounding us keeping Kabuto away. It also made the spikes go away which means they were pulling away from my body slowly causing me to whimper in pain. Once they were out I started to fall but was caught by Itachi.

"An example of how the best attack technique can also become the best defense, I guess....the heat also made this cave to back to its original shape."

"Mariah, are you alright?" Itachi questioned.

"Not....really." I said.

"I'm sorry for you, but I'll win this one. I'm becoming someone that can create and control. I really can't imagine myself losing. All the rules and principals of the natural world that Orochimaru studied thoroughly for many years....they're all stored inside me. From human to snake, from snake to dragon. I'm currently closer to the hermit of the six paths than any other person in this world....Compared to me, the Uchiha are nothing!"

"Heh.....what about Kira? I'm more.......... close than you are Kabuto. I have all the kekkai Genkai in this world. You're just........ a crazy person craving power and ruining peoples' lives. The Sage of Six Paths............ was nothing like that. The Sage was a good person just wanting peace between people.......... and for the violence and conflict to stop. He treated everyone............ as equals; even the tailed beasts." I said which gained the attention of the beasts inside of me.

"He got on good terms with...... the Bijuu. If you tried to even go near one of them they would kill you. You know nothing about the Sage so you're nothing like him.....not even close...." I finished.

"You know nothing about Uchiha. Listen-" Sasuke shouted but was interrupted by Itachi's arm.

"Kabuto....you remind me....of my past self...and that's why you will lose." Itachi said.

"You know....I'm not watching from a corner anymore. I'm one of the main actors of this war, now! I'm leading Akatsuki by nose and taking this war to our advantage, and I'm even fighting against the Uchiha brothers and last Kira."

"You're very different from me, but at the same time I can sympathize with you. In the end, you were a spy as well and you lived in the same world of lies in which I used to live. I also couldn't understand who I was. Now I feel that maybe....knowing who I actually am is the key to reach perfection.......Because that means knowing what I can and cannot do." Itachi said.

"That's what a loser would say. Isn't acknowledging what you can't do that same as giving up?"

"No, it means.....to forgive yourself for what you aren't able to do. Your comrades are there to make up for what you cannot do. And to prevent you from ignoring things that you actually might have been able to do."

"If you want to know what you are....you have to look at your real self and acknowledge what you see. I wasn't able to do it....I lied to others and deceived even myself with my own lies. The ones who aren't able to acknowledge their own selves are bound to fail. Like I did in the past."

"You are the ones who know nothing about me. I spent my whole life trying to find my real self, in my own way...my whole life..."

And then he went on and on about his past. He was found when he was little he had to memory and he use to get picked on. Then he got taken away by Danzo to be a ninja. He's been a spy for the village going to every single village and he's caretaker was hurt and she didn't recognize him. 

(Yeah I didn't think any of you really care about Kabuto's past.)

Yeah srry the ending was kinda blah; i ran out of ideas and the manga isn't that interesting right now cus its all about kabuto and no one cares about his past, all we want to see is him getting his ass kicked by itachi and sasuke ^^
