"You know as well as I do that nothing will ever be the same." Tadashi said.

"Yeah I know but........I wish they could." I thought.

"You can't live in the past Mariah,"

"Yeah I know I know,"

"You feeling better?" He asked.

"Yeah, my chakra is coming back."

"After dinner we'll resume training."

"Whatever,"

"Not much for conversation?"

"Not at all,"

"Why?"

"Just not in the mood."

"Is it from that memory?"

"Possibly."

"You should let go of the past Mariah. Things will never be the same again and you know it. The Sasuke you once knew is forever gone."

"I wish it wasn't true................maybe I can just......change him back...Maybe just maybe."

"Mariah..............you know........that his mind can't be changed."

"I know............"

"It'll all work out,"

"I hope,"

"Don't worry,"

"Why are you being so............nice?" I asked.

"Because I want to prove to you that I've changed Mariah. I know it's hard to gain but I'm trying."

"You'll have to try harder,"

"I know,"

Then there was silence between us. I stepped out of the house to wonder around the village. As I was walking I noticed the villagers still giving me weird looks. Ignoring the looks I continued on into the little village. I took notice of the pieces of paper that hung towards the boarder of the village. As I got closer to one I saw that they were spells to ward off demons.

"If I have a demon inside me then how can I get in?" I wondered.

(Madara's POV)

It's been weeks now and I have to start the war without Mariah. It will be a set back from the original plan but she'll have to turn up sooner or later. Once Sasuke is healed he'll look for her and then she'll finally be my weapon. He's almost healed. Soon you will be mine Mariah.

(Mariah's POV)

It's been two months since I've been training with Tadashi. Well in my world it's been two months but out in the real world it's only been a few days. I've been in my subconscious for so long that Kurayami has been getting worried about me but I usually just ignore it. With Tadashi's help I've been able to control his chakra and wield it.

I've been practicing with my conscious body for a while now and I've been getting more and more powerful by the day. Even though it took a lot out of me, I practice every day. Kurayami was getting suspicious of me but I never told her the truth about Tadashi.  

My animals would always check in with me informing me what is going on with my................. so called friends and the world. Apparently Madara finally made his move on starting the war. So far Zetsu is transforming into people impersonating fellow ninjas infiltrating enemy base for information along with annihilating enemy forces from the inside.

So far Sasuke is still stuck in the base because his eyes hadn't healed yet. It seems that they'll heal soon though. All of this has only happened in a few days which is unbelievable. This is everyone's from my age group and down first war. I know that they're all alive for now but it's possible that not all of them will make it.

You might want to kill me after I tell you this but..............I'm starting to trust Tadashi. I know I know I bet you want to kill me trust me I never thought I would trust him either but.................He's gained it. We're actually friends and I've learned so much about him.

"Mariah-chan," Kurayami said running towards me.

"Yes Kurayami?"

"You're finally back! What do you do in your imagination??!!"

I gave her a smile.

"Just training for the war that's all."

"What could you be training?"

"New moves,"

"Mariah-chan, you're strong enough."

"No I'm not, what if there's an ambush.  I can't defeat Madara along with another. You must always be prepared."

"But with you Kekkai Genkai, fusing with me, curse mark, speed, and intelligence you should be able to destroy anyone."

"I can't be over confident."

I then walked away into Suki's room.

"Hello Mariah-chan; I was expecting you."

"You were?"

"Yes, I can do something that would benefit you and Tadashi."

"You can?"

"Yes, if you want I can make Tadashi into a whole different person with his own body and everything."

"You can really do that?"

"Yes I can; well if you really want to."

"What about his chakra?" I questioned.

"I can still give it to you," Tadashi said.

"He'll still be part of you. The catch is, is that you will always be linked. If one is hurt so is the other so you'll have to be careful."

"Easy.....so when can you make his body?"

"Actually I can do it right now if you really want."

"Yeah, that would be great."

"Okay, so site down in front of me and we'll get started."

I walked into her room then sat on her bed. She then put her hand on my head and started to glow yellow. Suddenly I felt tremendous pain in my head where her hand was. Biting my lip causing it to bleed I suppressed a scream. She started to pull her hand away from my head followed by a white light.

Once the light was completely out of my head the pain stopped but I was blinded by the light which lit up the whole room. I shielded my eyes to prevent permanent damage. Once the light dimmed down I opened my eyes to see Tadashi standing in front of me. He looked exactly same as he did in my head; even the clothes. I looked up at him as he looked down at me with wide eyes.

"It worked," He gasped then smiled.

"It did; finally I won't hear voices in my head!" I cheered.

Suddenly I was pulled into a bone crushing hug; they swung me around then put me down.

"Sorry," Tadashi apologized.

"Um no it's okay......you're just excited..."

I turned to Suki seeing a smile on her face.

"Thanks Suki,"

"Don't mention it....I'm happy to help."

"I'm so happy to be alive again," He said.

"I bet you are; I'm glad that you're finally out of my head."

"Glad to be out; I can finally live."

"So what about the channeling chakra thing?" I questioned.

"We still have a connection so I can transfer my chakra to you."

"Good because then all of this training would be for nothing."

"Don't worry, we will still train."

"Well I'm going to take a walk.....you wanna come?"

"Of course! I need to stretch out my legs!"

We walked out of Suki's room and out into the village. We were walking in a comfortable silence as Tadashi was enjoying his resurrection. I looked over at him seeing that he was smiling and looking all over the place. He looked like a little kid just experiencing the real world. Then he started to sing and joined him

 "We make a pretty good duet," I commented.

"Yeah; finally people can hear our singing." He laughed. "Hey Mariah...."

"Yeah?"

"Thanks for giving me another chance,"

"You're welcome; I'm actually glad that I did."

"So how are you going to explain me to...uh....Kurayami?"

"I'm going to tell her the truth......she deserves to know."

"I think she's going to kill you when she finds out."

"Yeah probably but you'll just have to convince her that you've changed like you've convinced me."

"Well I guess it'll be worth a shot."

"She'll get over it,"

"I hope so; even though I'm stronger than her she scares me."

"Yeah, she'll do that." I laughed.

"Well you two make a great pair."

"Yeah, she worries about me and I worry about her. I'm glad that I found her all those years ago."

"I think she's the best thing that happened to you Mariah. She's always been there for you and you can always trust her."

Suddenly we heard a huge crash and screaming in the distance. Tadashi and I looked at each other and nodded. As we ran towards where we heard the screams we noticed the villagers running in our direction away from everything with panic in their eyes.

I noticed the fire starting to enflame on some house. Making some hand signs a shot water out of my hands dousing the flames that were raging on the houses. Tadashi got some people out of the way of falling pieces of some houses that were on fire. I sensed some chakra signatures then realizing that they were from the shinobi here. I didn't sense any enemy chakra so it wasn't Madara or the Akatsuki.

"What's attacking the village?" I wondered.

"I think I have a clue," Tadashi growled.

We continued to advance to hearing the screams of the villagers. When we arrived at the scene we saw the wall of the village destroyed with bodies underneath it. I looked over to see bystanders under the rubble trying to get free. I ran over getting them out of from under the rubble then getting them to safety.

"What happened here?" I questioned.

"One of the children were playing near the wall and accidentally took off the spells on the wall which made the demons come in and attack the village. They're fighting them right now." Someone answered.

To my left I saw the ninja fighting off a demon. It was all black with blood red eyes and huge claws along with two horns sticking out of its neck. It screeched with the thrill of fighting. Kiyo arrived and started to bark out orders to his people while joining the battle. Tadashi and I got everyone out of the battle zone then joined in with the fighting. The demon was swift and careful with his moves. He wasn't a ninja at all.....all he was using as a weapon were his claws and his sharp pointy blood stained teeth.

I summoned my sword sending it towards the demon. It turned its head in my direction and gave me a creepy ass smile revealing its bloodied fangs. A shiver went up my spine. As my blade reached it it swiftly moved to the left dodging it. I knew it was going to be a formidable adversary so I smirked. Time to test out my skills.

"This is going to be fun," I thought.

The demon shinobi retreated allowing Tadashi and I to defeat this demon. They all watched in awe as we went up against the demon. Activating my Renningan and Sharingan I leaped into the air throwing kunai at top speed. It dodged my kunai which I expected. Summoning my paths I had them circle the demon causing a little glimpse of panic flicker in its eyes.

It tried to catch my paths off guard but it was futile since they see all. He pounced on one of them but they quickly grabbed its arm flinging him towards me by mistake. He got ready to stab me with his claws but I held out my hand pushing him away sending him into a blade of Tadashi's kunai. The demon screeched in pain causing everyone to cover their ears including me. My ears were ringing then I felt a pain in my side. Opening my eyes I looked down seeing the demon biting at my side. I used my almighty push to get him off of me. Examining the wound I noticed that he bit some skin off.

"Eeewwww....cannibalism...that's......not.....right...." I said in disgust.

He got back up on its feet letting out an angry screech. It flew towards me in rage and slashed its claws towards me. Three of its claws managed to slash my body and face sending me to the ground in pain. While I was down, Tadashi protected me. He stood his ground in front of me and summoned his demon chakra. He gathered it in his hand and sent it towards the demon making it fly and land on the ground.

Painfully getting up from my spot, I and the others walked over to the demon. My human path Soma then placed a hand on its head holding the soul in place as I got a scroll to seal the demon. Finally I got the scroll and did the necessary hand signs to seal the demon. After I sealed it in the scroll I deactivated my Sharingan and Renningan making my paths disappear then dropped to my knees clutching my side. Tadashi came up to me dropping to my level.

"Mariah-chan!" I heard Kurayami in the distance.

"Hurry, get the injured to the hospital quick. Someone fix the wall quick and someone else make new spells. Hurry!" Kiyo ordered.

Everyone scattered to do their jobs. Tadashi then lifted me up into his arms and ran towards the hospital at full speed.

"No, Tadashi. I can heal myself."

"I'm taking you to the hospital. I know you don't like the hospital because of the needles but don't worry. I'll make sure that no needle gets close to you."

"Okay....."

I then blacked out from blood loss.
