I started to fade in and out of consciousness; I was losing too much blood. I removed my hand from my wound to see it completely covered in blood. I was starting to cough up blood as well.

"Mariah! I have to heal you!" Karin shouted rushing to my side.

With the last bit of strength that I had I reached up and grabbed her arm. I looked up at her face noticing that she was crying.

"No Karin.......follow M-Madara's orders....... and don't..... heal me. You d-don't want to......disobey him. Just......heal.....S-Sasuke...."

My arm dropped from hers hitting the ground with a thud. I turned my head away from her and up to the blackness staring ahead.

"BUT YOU'RE DYING!" Karin shouted tears streaming down her face.

I started to chuckle despite the pain.

"You............actually...........care.....about...m-me? I-I thought......"

"Mariah I may not like that you and Sasuke love each other but as long as Sasuke is happy then I'm happy. I don't care who you are Mariah but you're a person and part of this team. I can't let you die."

I smirked.

"Heh.....you act like..............a leaf ninja......you   show............. mercy......You...can't heal me.......Madara.......he'll kill you........"

"Why can't you heal yourself?!"

"Because................when Madara..............was chocking.....me.....he was sucking.....all......my chakra away.....Just....please......heal S-Sasuke...." I said painfully turning away.

"O-Okay,"

She got back up and rushed to Sasuke's side once again. I laid there on the ground just waiting to die and be with my family again. I felt my eyes getting heavier and heavier. Soon I couldn't keep them open so I welcomed the darkness.

(Naruto's POV)

Gaara and his siblings appeared before us.

"We came to bring you guys up to speed....so listen carefully, because a lot went down at the Kage summit." Temari said.

They told us everything that had happened. How Sasuke intruded in the meeting challenging the Kages and going after Danzo. He told us about what Mariah had done to protect everyone and how Madara almost killed her.

"Wow....talk about a long meeting...I knew Danzo couldn't be trusted." Captain Yamato said.

"I've never been enthused about the idea of becoming Hokage but even in this situation, I can't do anything until we get back to the leaf village and get everyone else's opinions." Kakashi sensei said.

"Madara declared war on the whole world, there's no time for politics." Temari said.

"I have a feeling everyone will agree right away...we can continue the discussion once Kakashi-senpai is Hokage. They know that if they wait Madara and Akatsuki will make the first move and we'll be stuck reacting to them." Yamato said.

"Very true.."

"Then there's Sasuke...."

"Sheesh....I can't believe he attacked the Kage summit.

"Naruto.....just so we're clear, this is a war to protect the eight and nine tails. In other words, a war to protect you and in doing so, the whole shinobi world. I, as the Kazekage, am putting my life on the line for you. If Sasuke, a member of Akatsuki stands against me, he'll be shown no mercy. Sasuke has stopped looking for you. He seeks the darkness of his own will. He doesn't even care about Mariah anymore. He almost killed her."

"What....no.....he loved her..........why.....would.....he." I thought.

"Naruto you once said to me, "I'm the future Hokage!" When I became the Kazekage. If you're truly prepared to take up the mantle of a Kage, then as Sasuke's friend you know what you have to do." Gaara said putting a hand on my shoulder.

"We relayed the message, out job's done. Let's go home Gaara." Temari said.

(Madara's POV)

After defeating Danzo's guards I appeared into my world to see Sasuke awake and well. I looked over to see Mariah on the floor not sure if she's dead or not but it seems Sasuke hasn't taken notice.

"Let us out of here." Sasuke ordered.

"Hm so he hasn't noticed her. I guess he's so consumed with revenge that he doesn't care anymore." I thought.

"Relax, would you? We'll leave in a second. I even have a little souvenir waiting for you outside." I said.

I walked over towards Mariah and checked to see if she had a pulse. It was faint but she was still alive. Pulling out chakra cuffs I put them around her wrists and ankles. Then I grabbed them then brought them back to the real world in front of Danzo.

"Uchiha Sasuke," Danzo said.

"You'd better get out of here. If you get drawn into this you're toast." I said to Karin.

As she got out of the way I grabbed Mariah and jumped away to watch the fight.

"I couldn't have asked for more....Now I can add both your sharingans to my collection." Danzo said revealing the sharingans on his right arm.

(Mariah's POV)

All I saw was utter blackness. I was floating in a pit of darkness which was kinda creeping me out. I looked down to inspect my body of any wounds but couldn't find any.

For what felt like days I was wondering around this stupid place.

"Where the fuck am I?" I asked to the darkness.

And that question was unanswered of course. I sweat dropped.

"Sometimes I worry about myself." I said. "Now I'm freaking talking to myself. Well how are you me? Oh I'm just dandy just floating in blackness the usual you? Oh the same situation..................I think I'm insane.......CURSE YOU DARKNESS!!!!"

I sighed at my stupidity.

"But really where am I?"

Few days passed or what I think it is.

"I'M SOOOOOOO BOOORRRREEEEDDDD!!!!"

Then I just finally realized something.

"WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED FOR ME TO GET LIKE THIS?!"

I couldn't remember anything that happened. All I remember is leading Sasuke to the Kage Summit then Madara disturbing me then.....nothing. As I started to think more and more about it images started to go across the darkness and surround me. They were my memories.

The pain that I was feeling in my neck, eyes, lungs, and heart were burning making me scream at the top of my lungs. Nothing could compare to this pain. My wounds started to reveal themselves and I was becoming conscious.  When I opened my eyes I felt Sasuke, Karin, Madara, and Danzo near me.

I looked over seeing Danzo holding Karin hostage.

"I can't believe you'd take a hostage....after your talk of self sacrifice." Sasuke said.

Just seeing him brought tears to my eyes; he shattered my heart by those words he said before.

"It's not my own life.....I'm worried about. This is for Konoha...for the ninja world.... I can't die now..I'll do anything to survive...I am the only one who can change this world...This girl will be sacrificed for that." Danzo said.

"Sasuke...HELP!" Karin yelled in distress.

"Don't move Karin."

Sasuke then sent Chidori stream through Karin to get to Danzo.

"That....sadistic bastard!" I thought.

"Niisan......That's one down..." Sasuke said. "Karin....you're nothing but a burden to me if you can be taken hostage."

Danzo then casted Karin away like a rag doll and made his escape. Madara left my side hopping down in front of Danzo.

"Shisui's eye is mine now." Madara said.

"For the world of ninjas, for Konoha....I cannot let you live!" Danzo said all crazy like reaching into his shirt.

I decided to ignore my aching body and got up. Ignoring the pain I ran with my sword and swung the blade towards Danzo. Before he could process what was happening I cut off his head. I landed in front of Madara and tossed him Danzo's head.

"There's your damn eye!" I shouted.

"I see, you're still alive."

"Yeah no help from you ya bastard."

"Someone's angry. Any way that jutsu that he was to use would have sucked you into his corpse to die with him..." Madara explained.

"Next......we head for Konoha." Sasuke said not even looking in my direction.

"I'm going to take his eye. Sasuke, Mariah you just go back to the base and rest."

"Psh rest he says, why should he care about me?" I muttered.

"You've overused your powers...you won't be able to bluff it much longer. The light has almost gone out of your eyes. What do you think you can do if you go alone to Konoha now? You have to have patience if you want to achieve your goal."

I turned away from both of them. I hate them so much! I then realized something.....I don't feel any pain anymore. I looked down to see my body still covered in blood and the wound still bleeding. I touched my neck not feeling anything. I felt................numb......I started to cough up blood more but it still didn't hurt. Sasuke then jumped down in front of Madara.

"Sasuke....I have one piece of advice for you. If you don't have any further use for that girl......then kill her. She knows too much about us."

"Us? When did we become allies?" Sasuke asked.

"Heh...fine...until we meet again..." He said disappearing.

Sasuke then walked over to Karin as she was having a flashback of when she first saw Sasuke. She was at the Chuunin exams too with us and Sasuke saved her. As he was about to kill her with Chidori Sakura showed up.

"SASUKE-KUN!!!" She shouted.

".....Sakura.......What do you want with me?"

"Sasuke-kun! I will follow you! I'll leave Konoha!" She shouted.

"Psh yeah right, she's bluffing." I thought.

"Why would you want to join me? What are you trying to pull?" Sasuke questioned.

"I have no ulterior motive! Ever since you left the Leaf village I've regretted not going with you! I'll do whatever you want. I don't want to have any more regrets.."

"Do you know what I want to do?"

"I don't care! I'll follow any order you give me-"

"To crush the leaf! That is my goal..Are you really willing to betray the leaf for me?"

".....Yes......if that's what you want me to do..."

"Hmph then prove it. Kill her, and I'll accept your offer." He said pointing to Karin.

"Poor Sakura......she's not that cold hearted...........she can't kill Karin." I thought sadly.

She then took out a kunai.

"Who is she?"

"A member of my organization, Taka. As you can see, she's useless to me now. Actually you're a medical ninja, aren't you Sakura? This works out perfectly....you can take her place..."

"....Bastard.........." I hissed.

Sakura stepped forward  towards Karin and hesitated.

"Well? Can't you handle this, Sakura?"

"She doesn't matter....if I....if I...." She trailed off.

As I saw Sasuke activating Chidori I stepped forward to stop him but fell forwards off the ground I was on and on to the ground that they were on. My chakra is super low and can hardly move.

"Sasuke....don't do it..." Karin begged.

Just before he hit Sakura Kakashi-sensei stopped him.

"You've fallen so low, Sasuke." Kakashi said.

Sasuke went to kick him but he swiftly dodged and kicked him back.

"Ha! They just keep on coming!"

"You were trying to kill Sasuke on your own, weren't you Sakura?................There's no reason for you to shoulder this burden all by yourself. As the leader of Team 7, I blame my own personal shortcomings for the team failing. Sakura....It was irresponsible of me to say what I did just to make you feel better. Maybe I was just trying to convince myself..I apologize....I've been a terrible sensei to you all."

"No, you.."

"Kakashi-sensei......you were the best sensei..." I muttered but I think he heard me because he sent a glace my way.

"Sasuke...I hate having to repeat myself but I'll say this one last time. Stop you obsession with revenge!"

Then Sasuke started to laugh like a maniac. It was starting to scare me along with his dark chakra.

"Bring back Itachi...and my mother....and my father.....AND MY CLAN! BRING THEM ALL BACK! THEN I'LL STOP!" He shouted like a crazy person.

"I don't want you kill you." Kakashi-sensei said.

"Oh you think you can just take me out whenever you want huh?! Don't act like you're still my teacher, that time is over! I want to kill you so badly I can taste it."

Then Kakashi told Sakura to heal Karin and take her back to Konoha. Then Sakura left and Kakashi got ready to fight Sasuke.

"I think I understand now what he went through those years ago." Kakashi muttered.

"Well then....you and the third will have plenty to talk about when you join him!.................You listen to me...the Sharingan is the symbol of the Uchiha. A LOW LIFE OUTSIDER LIKE YOU HAS NO RIGHT TO GO AROUND SHOWING THAT EYE OFF!"

Sasuke then activated his Mangekyo Sharingan which activated Susano'o. This was hard to watch. Kakashi having to kill his own student.

"So that's Susano'o I take it?"

"I can't believe you, a non Uchiha awakened the Mangekyo..so that's what saved you, your eye's ability. I hope you're grateful to the Uchiha."

"Sasuke....your clan and your hatred can't be the only things left in you heart. Look deep inside yourself one last time."

"Still reciting the same old pleas"

"You know what's really there."

Sasuke started to remember all of us at the academy.

"They're all....laughing...THEY'RE ALL LAUGHING IT UP AT THE COST OF ITACHI'S LIFE! CACKLING IN UNISON WITH NO IDEA OF THE PRICE HE PAID! ALL I HEAR IN YOUR LAUGHTER NOW IS SCORN AND RIDICULE! BUT I'LL CHANGE IT, I'LL TURN YOUR LAUGHTER INTO SCREAMS OF ANGUISH!"

I forced myself to get up, activated my Sharingan and got in front of Kakashi-sensei.

"I'm not laughing Sasuke."

He stared at me then his Susano'o started to disappear as he clutched his eyes.

"Fuck!" He cursed.

He looked up and wiped his eyes.

"His vision," I thought.

I saw Sakura sneaking up on the distracted Sasuke. I knew that it wouldn't work so just as Sasuke was going to turn around I pushed Sakura's away and took her place. He grabbed my throat pushing me up against the wall. Since his vision was faltered he didn't know it was me and not Sakura. Sasuke grabbed the kunai out my hand and brought it down at me; I shut my eyes.

"Don't do it, Sasuke!" Kakashi yelled.

As I waited for impact I felt someone grab me and Sakura carrying us to safety. I opened my eyes seeing the famous Naruto. Kakashi took this chance to punch Sasuke sending him back.

"You've got even better timing than me Naruto. I never expected you to come but I sure as hell am glad you did."

"Team 7 is back again." I thought

"Sasuke....Sakura-chan and Mariah-chan are part of team 7...just like us." Naruto said.

"In case you forgot, I'm ex-team 7." Sasuke replied.

"Was that proof enough Naruto? Sasuke's not the same person anymore." Kakashi said.

"Sasuke..."

"WHAT?!"

"Tobi told us the truth about Itachi! I don't know if I believe him or not, but either way, everything you've done I understand why you did it!"

"H-he told you?" I asked.

"Naruto....I told you once before, you never had parents or siblings...you never had anyone. SO SHUT UP, YOU OUTSIDER!" Sasuke shouted.

"Naruto's had faith in you, Sasuke-kun! No matter how badly the world slandered you, he still considered you an friend! He still does..." Sakura shouted.

"Just now....just moments ago I finally got revenge for Itachi on one of his betrayers...one of the Leaf's top brass...his name was Danzo. It was a high unlike anything I've ever felt. Like I was finally cleansing the Uchiha name of the stigma that's dogged it for all these years. Like I was freeing the Uchiha from being associated with this corrupt shinobi world. In a sense, it's what the leaf has always wanted. After rejecting my clan for generations, I'm finally going to wipe it from your memories.

BY KILLING EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU, UNTIL THE LEAF IS CRUSHED FOREVER! ANY LINK TO THE UCHIHA WILL BE SEVERED AND OUR NAME WILL BE PURIFIED! THAT IS HOW I'LL REVIVE MY CLAN!"

Naruto then made clones but Kakashi-sensei told all of us to leave. Naruto grabbed Kakashi-sensei as another one of him went towards Sasuke with Rasengan.

"YOU'VE LEFT HIM VULNERABLE! I WON'T HESITATE FOR A SECOND!"

"Naruto wait!" Kakashi warned.

"Naruto!"

"NO NOT AGAIN!" I shouted.

Once again like the past two times I tried to get in the way of them killing each other but............I was unsuccessful because my body gave out on me. There was a ball of light. As they collided they were blown back. Kakashi-sensei caught Naruto as Zetsu caught Sasuke.

"I told you to get out of here Naruto!" Kakashi-sensei scolded.

"Now....I'm certain...."  Naruto panted.

"Certain of what? What the hell are you talking about?!"

Then the bastard Madara appeared.

"I thought I told you come back and rest........When we do fight them, it'll be in a more suitable place. For now we retreat." He said.

"Let me handle them. We've gotta capture the nine-tails sometime, right?" Zetsu said making his many clones appear.

"No Zetsu...I don't think you'll be able to capture Naruto. You're not really a front line fighter, the nine tails is too much. We'll leave that hunt to Sasuke...It should be entertaining. Plus I'm worried about Kisame, go check up on him and rejoin with you blacker half on the way."

"Aye aye sir."

Then Naruto stepped forward.

"Naruto,"

"I know..but first there's something I need to say to Sasuke."

"Come on Sasuke," Madara said helping him up.

"Wait."

"Sasuke.....do you remember what you told me back in the valley of the end? About top class ninjas? Once direct clash later, I understand a lot more. We've become top class ninjas Sasuke; both of us. So tell me....did you see what was in my heart? How I really feel? Did you see what'll happen? If we fight again...We're both going to die. Our battle will be inevitable if you really do attack the leaf. So keep your hatred, let it fester...and hit me with it full force. I'm the only one who can bear the full brunt of your hate! It's my job, no one else's! I'll bear the burden of your hatred....and we'll die together!!"

".....What?! What the fuck is wrong with you?! Why do you care about me so much?!"

"Because I'm your friend. Sasuke...we'll never be able to understand one another through words alone. I knew that from the moment I met you. The only way you and I can communicate properly is with our fist! Remember what I said...we're both top class ninjas now! I haven't given up yet!

Still...I'm done ranting at you. Hell, I can barely string a sentence together...I shouldn't be lecturing anyone. If we really do this all the way to the end, and we both die....we won't be Uchiha, Jinchuuriki's, or anything. There'll be no more burdens to bear. We'll come to understand one another in the next world."

"I will never change! I don't want us to understand one another! And I'm not gonna die...you will."

"Enough Naruto....I'll handle Sasuke. You still have a dream...the dream of becoming Hokage. Sasuke may have fallen but don't let him drag you drag too-" Kakashi started.

"How could I call myself Hokage if I can't even save one friend? The only person Sasuke's fighting is me!"

"Have it your way. I'll kill you first."

"Heh...you still haven't accepted me as an equal!"

"Okay....Sasuke is all yours, Naruto. Sakura take care of my body, okay?"

"Don't bother Kakashi. Techniques like that have no effect on me. Let's go, Sasuke."

"Madara.....you and I need to talk.....Come on Mariah...." Sasuke said.

Everyone turned their gaze towards me.

"No,"

"What?"

"I said no,"

"Why?" Madara questioned

"Because, I'm sick of this. I'm sick of you, Sasuke, Akatsuki, war, fighting, injuries, everything."

"Come on Mariah, let's go." Kakashi said.

"No, I'm not going with anyone. I'm only a prize to all of you. I'm only being used as a tool for you. If I go with Madara then he'll use me for something sinister if I go with you I'll be a tool for the war. I'm done with this world of war, anger, sadness, and pain. I'm sick of being a shinobi that people only use. I'm leaving and maybe you'll never see me again. No one will ever take advantage of me again."

I said looking at all of them. With the last of my chakra I teleported far away from them. I know what has to be done now. I have to get stronger so that I can destroy Madara......................and possibly Sasuke........

OMG SO NOW MARIAH IS GOING TO PLOT MADARA'S DEATH!!! XD THAT'S WHAT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WANTING SINCE LIKE CHAPTER 6 OR SOMEWHERE AROUND THERE hehe so anyway vote, comment, and most importantly

GIVE ME SOME SUGGESTIONS FOR THE NEXT FEW CHAPTERS CUS I WANT THIS STORY TO BE LONGER THAN WHY ME? WHICH IS 32 CHAPTERS WHILE THIS ONE IS THE 29TH CHAPTER XD WOW WE'RE CATCHING UP SO ANYWAY PLEASE GIVE ME SOME IDEAS
