Aria POV:

"Good afternoon elder queen". I said my head bowed low hiding my anxiousness.

"Was that the question I asked you?". She queried once again with tints of annoyance.

"From his majesty room, just finished serving him his lunch". I answered plainly.

I should be nervous right, I should feel full anxiety isn't it? But during nursing school we were thought how to be cool headed, this way patients won't play with our good and bad moods.

"Just look at you, so shameless, and what took you so long to serve him his food and get out?". She asked loosing her chill.

What lie will I tell this woman, I can't blurt out that her son just finished licking my neck and I liked it. Wait what?

"Aria I asked you a question". She shouted bringing my senses back.

"Arh... Uhm... Well... ". I stammered as ma'am Annie approached us with a smile.

"Oh... Esther dear, be calm on this nice soul, she just started being a personal maid you can't expect her to be perfect all the sudden. If she made a mistake just pardon her, okay". Anthony's mum soften at her words and narrowed her eyes towards me.

"Okay, Esther come pick a dress for me, I'm going to chill with my girls". Ma'am Annie said excitedly as Anthony's mum followed her, ma'am Annie gave me a last glance smiling in the process.

What's the meaning of that smile? I almost got into trouble because of Anthony, I should have declined his offer. I don't want to be in the bad book of Mrs. Esther. Hahaha! Who I'm I kidding? I'm number one on her list of people.

I headed towards my room and opened the door as the girls quickly dragged me in and closed the door.

"Girl how did it go?". Maya suddenly asked.

"What do you mean?". I asked as I prayed inwardly, pls let them not know what happened between the king and I.

"Did u seduce the king in falling for you?". Clara blurted out feeling excited to here my answer. Is this girl insane.

Or it's the other way around, it was the king who seduced me moron.

"Helloooo... ". Maya said bringing me back to reality.

"No I did not, it's disgusting". I said with a squeezed face and sat on my bed,

"Come on girl, if you don't know any techniques we could teach". Maya said pointing at herself and Clara.

"Come on sweetie, I prefer you being close to the king to Tianna, that moron brags on how much she loves the king and she would win him over". Clara said with tints of annoyance.

"I'm not in for love fight". I said shinning my teeth and laid down on my bed.

"Why are you being hard to convince?". Maya asked walking to her bed.

Now my ultimate plan is

1) To avoid the king at any limit.

2) If I have to lie, I'll do that.

3) Avoid the king and stay alive.

4) Avoid the king to keep away from Mrs. Esther bad record.

Morning came as usual. I did my bathroom activity and left for the kitchen. The kitchen maidens were already preparing breakfast and left for the royal hall and started cleaning it, when cute Kiran approached me with a wild smile.

"Happy Saturday Aria". He greeted.

Oh my! I forgot today was Saturday, what a shame.

"Happy Saturday to you Kiran".

"How was your night". I asked.

"Beautiful, wonderful and nice". He said happily.

"Wow! Why are you so excited?".

"Because I had a dream, a beautiful one 😀". He said smiling.

"Okay tell me all about it".

"Yesterday night after reading, I dreamt about you and Anthony. Anthony got married to you. Dad, grandma and Mrs. Margaret approved of it". He replied with a grin on his face.

I'm I hearing correctly, I and Anthony got married. This is unbelievable. We can't get married.

"Kiran heard about the custom of this kingdom". I asked with a forced smile.

"Of course I know, were royalties marry royalties and vice versa". He said and nodded my head like an agama lizard.

"That's nonsense, complete nonsense. Princess from royal homes aren't what they are meant to be this days. Is either they marry kings to gain power or something else". He said pouting.

"But what it's meant to be it's meant to be". I convince.

"Yeah yeah, I want you to get married to my brother, no one else. Besides you're well manner than those stupid princess". He said nonchalantly.

It seems I can't convince him. Since when does he know about well mannered princess for his brother. Kiran is just too intelligent.

"Okay whatever you say".

"I'll be on my way Aria I've got some defence lessons to do". He said heading outside as he waved at me and I did same.

His brother and I got married, that's dumb.

It was noon already and my tummy grumbled for something to eat. On my way to the kitchen a kitchen maiden approached me with a smile.

"Hello Aria". She greeted, if I can recall, her name is Tracy

"Hello Tracy, right?". I asked.

"Yes, that's my name". She answered giggling.
"The king wants you to serve his lunch in his room". She said.

Oh no, why now? I don't want to serve him his lunch, if I go what happened yesterday may repeat itself. Think of a lie Aria think.

"Umh... Aria?". Tracy called bringing me to the present.

"Tracy tell him you couldn't find me". I said nervously.

"But I did".

"I know you did, just tell him you couldn't find me".

"But that's lying".

Obviously it is 😒.

"Tracy pls". I begged.

"Okay". She said and left.

Ultimate plan 1 and 2 accomplished.

Next day came and afternoon arrived so soon. I went to the garden well to fetch some water for cooking dinner.

"Aria, the king wants you to serve his lunch like right now". Tracy said staring at me.

"Tell him that I'm in the bathroom".

"Bathroom? But you're here".

"I know I'm right here, just tell him, pls". I said shinning my teeth.

She stared at me with an annoyed expression.

"I'm doing this because I like you Aria, if I get caught I hope you have an explanation". She said as I nodded my head, with that she left.

Another afternoon came and I told Tracy to tell the king I went to the bakery shop as she did.

I kept on telling lies and I'm getting tired of it, but this is the only way to stay out of trouble.

The next day afternoon came and I ran out of excuse.

"Tracy tell him I went to market".

"But you didn't". She said being annoyed.

"Just tell him".

"No I won't, I'm tired of lying". She said, well It's true who won't be tired, I myself is tired.

"I'll bake you extra cupcakes this evening". I said and she gasped.

"That's bribery and corruption".

"I know just do it". I begged.

"Alright I'll do it, so far you bake a cupcake for me". She smiled and left.

After Tracy served king Anthony lunch, I decided to head to my room to hide.

Walking through different hall way I saw Anthony coming by as I quickly hid behide a pillar. I stood there for some minutes and turned to see if he was still there and he wasn't, a smile quickly creped up my face being happy he didn't sight me.

"If I can't sight you I can definitely scent you Aria". A familiar voice said.

Oh no 😫, pls let it not be king Anthony, pls let it not be him. I prayed inwardly while turning around slowly. And unfortunately enough, it was him.

You're dead Aria, completely dead.

"Is this the market you went to?". He asked in askance.

"Arh... I went and returned". I lied feeling agitated in front of him.

"Who sent you?". He asked in an unfriendly tone.

"Your mum". 😱😱Aria why the hell are you lying, stop lying Aria.

"Then I'll go ask her why she sent you when you're meant to serve me my lunch". He said sternly and turned to leave and what I did shocked both him and I.

I quickly stopped him by holding his arm feeling his masculine muscle flex under his sleeve. He stared at me being amused by my sudden action.

"I can explain". I said with anxiety and instantly left his arm.

"First, explain why you're avoiding me?".

That question shook me. How did he know that I was avoiding him.
