Y/N POV 

After fully cleaning our bowls we sigh and let our food settle.

Ren: "You sure it was wise to have eaten before a fight?"

Pyrrha: "Of course, it'll give us energy."

Jaune: "If I puke I'm blaming you."

Nora: "Aim it at the enemy."

Ren: "Nora, that's disgusting. But if you do feel the urge..."

Jaune: "Got it."

Pyrrha: "We should be off."

Ruby: "You think you guys are ready?"

Nora: "Of course. We've got a world-renowned fighter on our team, what's basically a ninja, I can bench five of me, and Jaune... we trained all year, our weapons are awesome, Glynda barely yells at us anymore, and uh... Jaune."

Ren: "Are you going to take that?"

Jaune: "She's not wrong."

Port: *on speaker* "Will team JNPR please to the battle grounds immediately."

Oobleck: *on speaker* "Like they were scheduled to several minutes ago."

Pyrrha: "Wish us luck."

We return to the arena just in time to see JNPR begin their match against team BRNZ. Pyrrha and Nora take on two males while the female takes to the trees. The girl in the tree pushes team JNPR back and makes them take cover behind rocks. One of the males shocks Ren and brings him to the ground. Nora charges at him and he electrocutes her but she smiles. She makes electricity crackle over her body and swings her hammer knocking the male into a boulder. Nora takes off to the mountain on their side while Ren runs toward the sniper. 

Jaune launches Pyrrha off his shield and she blocks a sniper shot while Nora fires her grenades and exposes the sniper's location. Suddenly team JNPR talk with each other and they stop fighting confusing the other team. Their impromptu meeting ends when Jaune remembers where he is and Nora grows a big smile. She jumps in front of team BRNZ and uses her hammer to whack them out of the ring.

Oobleck: "Vacuo fans are sure to be hurting after that fight, but this next round will have them on the edge of their seats."

Port: "Team NDGO of Shade is certainly a crowd favorite. But these lovely ladies are going against some of the toughest, testosterone filled teammates we've seen so far. I'm of course talking about team SSSN. Sun Wukong and his team are certainly a force to be reckoned with. And although he'll be representing the Mistral academy of Haven, I'm sure his friends and family back in Vacuo will be cheering him along."

Team SSN come into the ring and stand opposite team NDGO. A girl in a green dress makes three sand tornados and sends them at a male with gray skin. The tornados combine and they send him flying for a ring out. Sun and Neptune work together and eliminate a girl in a blue and yellow dress. A male with red hair engages a girl dressed like a pirate and knocks her off the mast of the ship they are on. Sun tosses two coconuts at girl with a spear but she slices them in half and sends the pieces at the male with the red hair. 

One hits him in his face while the other hits him in his no no square and he is taken out of the fight. The three remaining members of team NDGO group up and Neptune sticks the tip of his weapon in the water and electrocutes all three members of team NDGO. The first day of the tournament ends and we head to our dorms. Before I leave I see Weiss and Ruby running the opposite direction of the dorms. I get curious and chase after them; I catch up with them and catch them mid conversation.

Ruby: "Weiss, what's the big deal? Who is she?"

Weiss: "Winter."

Ruby: "Wait, your sister?"

I look forward and see a slightly older looking Weiss stepping out of an airship.

Weiss: "I'm so happy to see you. Oh, your presence honors us."

Winter: "Beacon, it's been a long time. The air feels... different."

Ruby: "Well... it is fall so it's probably colder..."

Weiss: *punches Ruby's arm* "So, what're you doing here?"

Winter: "Classified."

Weiss: "Right. How long are you staying?"

Winter: "Classified."

Weiss: "You're going to love it here! I know you travel a lot, but so much of Beacon is different from Atlas. Vale too. The government and school are completely separate. Can you believe it?"

Winter: "I'm more than familiar with how this kingdom handles its bureaucracy. That is not why I came."

Weiss: "Right, I'm sorry."

Winter: "Nor did I come here to watch my own flesh and blood fail so miserably in battle."

Weiss: "But we won."

Winter: "Only a novice would refer to that as a victory. I counted at least three strikes missed. Leave us."

The robots behind her step back which makes Winter sigh.

Winter: "How have you been?"

Weiss: "Oh splendid. Thanks for asking. I'm actually in the very top ranking of our sparing class. The rest of my studies are going wonderfully too. I-"

Winter slaps Weiss' head leaving behind a bump.

Winter: "Silence you boob! I don't recall asking about your ranking. I asked how you've been. Are you eating properly? Have you taken up any hobbies? Are you making new friends?"

Weiss: "Well, there's Ruby."
