Y/N POV

When it came time to face Salem they ended up falling back in love and starting a family while still keeping their secrets. When Ozma found out one of his daughters could perform magic, he was forced to tell Salem everything light had told him. Salem said they should rule as the new gods and never collect the relics. Ozma refused and tried to take away their children. That ended with their children dying and Salem retreating.

Ozma then spent the next few lives wallowing in pain at the lose he suffered but ultimately got back on track with his mission. Later on he sought the help of Jinn.

Ozma: "How do I destroy Salem?"

Jinn: "Do so by unnatural means."

We return to the real world and I walk up to Jinn.

Y/N: "What did you mean by unnatural means?"

Jinn: "As you know, Salem can't be damaged by any weapon of this world. The same is uncertain of another."

Y/N: "What're you trying to say?"

Jinn: "Are you sure you want to use your last question?"

Y/N: *sigh* "No, I'm going to save it."

Jinn: "Very well, say my name when you're ready to use it."

Jinn retreats back into the lamp while I grab my bag and join the others who are now wlaking down a trail.

Qrow: "Doesn't look like this is gonna let up."

Blake: "I just wanna get this stupid relic to Atlas."

Weiss: "Let's hope we don't to walk all the way there."

Yang: "I thought trails led somewhere."

Maria: "Do you have nothing better to do than to harass a defenseless old lady?"

Ruby: "Quiet."

We hear something squeaking and run to it. We reach it and find that it's a gate. We walk through it and find a little estate. Qrow kicks open the door and we look around. As I walk past some pictures I hear someone scream. I run to them and see everyone looking at two dead bodies. We head back into the living room and just sit in silence until Qrow comes into the living room shaking the snow off of himself.

Qrow: "It's the same in every house. Bodies in every bed in every home. It's like the whole estate just went to sleep and never woke up."

Weiss: "We're not staying here are we?"

Qrow: "We don't have a choice. Storm outside's only getting worse. We'd freeze to death before we made it anywhere."

Ruby: "If this place wasn't abandoned then maybe they still have some supplies."

Oscar: "Maybe even a car."

Qrow: "I'll do another sweep of the grounds. No one leave alone."

They all walk away and later after we all eat we head off to bed. Come morning I see that everyone's mood is down.

Oscar: "Can we just go back to bed?"

Blake: "If we're all so tired, maybe we should make breakfast?"

Oscar: "You wanna make it?"

Blake: "Not really."

Ruby: "You guys got the bike ready?"

Qrow: "Well, it's done now. So let's hook this thing up."

Qrow puts his foot on the tire which makes the one on the other side pop. He shouts in anger before sitting down by a post and drinking from his flask.

Yang: "I'm starting to think the universe just doesn't want us to get to Atlas."

Y/N: "It's just a flat. I'm sure we can find a spare."

Yang :"It's not just that, it's everything. Storms, crashes, monsters... I'm so tired."

Blake: "Me too. It feels like we're always having to fight to get by."

Ruby: "But that's what we signed up for."

Oscar: "We signed up to try and save the world, not just delay the inevitable."

Weiss: "Last night, I... I couldn't stop thinking. Why are we even going to Atlas?"

Ruby: "Because we have to."

Yang: "Why? Why not just toss the relic down the well?"

Y/N: "What?"

Yang: "It'll take them years to find it, maybe not even in our lifetime."

I look at Ruby and see her heading to the well. She tilts her hand and screams dropping the lamp.

Ruby: "No!"

Yang: "There, it's done. Now we can leave."

Ruby: "No. We need to get the lamp back."

Qrow: "All we need to do is fix the trailer. Farm boy! Go see if you can find a spare tire in the shed."

Ruby: "I'm not going anywhere without the lamp!"
