Early in the morning while eating breakfast,"Hmm. Mahal I'm going to Leyte nga pala this evening. We're going to inspect the area na nilindol." He informed her. Leni was a bit disappointed 😔 by his sudden appointment.

Tomorrow will be their 5th wedding anniversary and they were supposed to spend time together on that special day. They already have a reservation at their favorite restaurant but unfortunately,he seemed to forgot that special day.

Her smile disappeared upon hearing his plans. "Ahh.... Sino kasama mo?" She asked with a sad voice. "Si Sen. Grace and Sen. Win..." He replied. She slowly nodded. He can feel the sudden change of her mood. "Mabilis lang ako doon,Mahal. I'll go home tomorrow immediately." He tried to console her but it didn't help her to ease her melancholic feeling. She continued to nods slowly.

Evening came and Bongbong was ready to leave. "Mahal,sige na. I'll go..." He paused noticing she wasn't reacting that much. She's currently sitting on their bed seemed to be too focused on the book she's reading. He sighed and sat down in front of her. "Mahal?" He held her thighs. She looked up. "What's wrong?" He asked. She just shake her head (none). He didn't believe her and just look at her.

"Sige na. Baka malate ka pa. Ingat!" She said coldly. He leaned close aiming to kiss her but she bowed down and read again. He sighed and kissed her forehead rather. "I love you..." He uttered and wait for her reply but it looks like she didn't hear anything.

"I love you..." He uttered again,this time a bit louder but she just nods. He sighed heavily and stood up ready to leave. He didn't have a choice but to leave her like that although it broke him inside.

Grace noticed that Bongbong looks distracted since he came. She thought that maybe he's tired until she saw him at the corner staring blankly at the evacuees.

"Bong? Are you okay?" She approached him. He just nods. "Liar! Sige na! Tell me what's bothering you!" She knew him so well that she knew when he's lying or not okay,he's like a brother to her. He sighed heavily.

"Si Leni kasi eh... nagtatampo yata?" He finally confessed.

"I knew it! I noticed din kasi parang she hasn't call you since we came here." She retorted. "Bakit ano na naman ba ginawa mo?" She followed.

"Nothing... I informed her lang naman na I'm going here to check the area and yung evacuees." He explained sincerely.

Now,she believed him. She started to think what might triggered Leni to be suddenly cold towards him.

"Hmm! Wait.. diba Anniversary nyo bukas?" She asked.

He widened his eyes. "Oh! S**t! I forgot! That's why nagtatampo siya!" He finally got the answer.

He immediately told Grace,Win and their staff that he needs to go back to Manila for an important matter.

He landed at Manila at around 4:00 am. He tried to call his wife but she didn't answer.

She's seriously mad at me! What do I do?! He said to himself.

He finally reached their house at around 4:50 am,he saw his wife sleeping 😌 while hugging his pillows.

***tiiiinnnggg!!! He suddenly thought of an idea 💡

Without changing his clothes,he went immediately to dangwa to buy a bouquet 💐 of flowers and a special gift 🎁.

When he returned (5:45 am) he checked his wife but she's still sleeping 😌. He went to the kitchen and quietly prepared breakfast for her aiming to surprise her.

When he finished preparing,it was already 7:35. He thought of an idea 💡! AGAIN!

He got his phone and dialed her number...

Her phone started to ring interrupting her sleep.

"Hello?" She sleepily answered.

"Mahal? Nagising pa kita? I'm sorry! " He sweetly replied.

"Hmmm? Why?" She said without eagerness,she's still annoyed 😒 with him. She didn't want to talk to him right now.

"Ah. Mahal... Labas ka muna.. please?" He pleaded sweetly.

"Bakit nga? I'm still sleepy,mamaya nalang!" She said a bit irritated.

"Sige na,Mahal... Pleeeaasseee?" He continued to plead . She sighed. She opened the door while rubbing her eyes and...

"SURPRISE! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY,MAHAL!!!" He shouted stupefying her.

Her eyes widened and didn't move for a while. She thought she's only dreaming.

"Mahal? Don't you like it?" He asked with sad voice. She blinks rapidly so that she can come back to reality.

"Ah. Ha? I... I like it,Mahal! I actually love it 😍!" She smiled and walk towards him. He smiled and gave her the bouquet 💐 and the gift 🎁." Happy Anniversary,Mahal!" He cupped her waist and held her close.

"Happy anniversary din Mahal!" She smiled. He kissed her.

"I'm sorry nga pala for what happened last night. I was insensitive---" She cut him off.

"Shh! It's okay,Mahal! What important is you're here.. with me." She smiled.

"I love you ❤️..." He professed and again wait for her reply.

She just smiled.

"I love you... "He uttered again aiming to get a response from her.

She chuckled. "I love you din po!" She said and pressed her forehead against his.

He kissed her at smiled sweetly.

They eat breakfast together and spend the whole day inside the house---bedroom,specifically and just treasured the time that they were together.
