Everyone was ecstatic to know that Bongbong and Leni decided to get married again. Their respective families gave their immediate approval upon hearing the good news. Sally said it will be beneficial for their three daughters. While Bongbong's sisters are extremely excited, they were a bit sad knowing that their mom will not be able to witness Bongbong and Leni's wedding again.

Leni together with her daughters went back to Manila to resume with their lives. Bongbong decided to stay in Ilocos together with his sisters and other family members. He said he would spend time with his sisters as they prepare for their mom's 40 days and the every night novena.

"Do you want us to stay there for while?" Leni asked over the phone.

"No no, it's okay." Bongbong declined. "I know you're busy, the kids are busy too. Saka malayo."

"I can always make time for you, Bong. Alam mo yan." She negotiated.

"I know that but you have other important things to do also. I know you have your priorities." He said.

She sighed, she wanted to come and be with him during this difficult times but he's right, "Okay sige, but you have to update me palagi. I can go there anytime, alam mo yan."

He smiled, "I know. I love you."

She smiles, "I love you too."

Bongbong has been busy for the last couple of days, he's been helping with the planning and executing of their mom's 40 days together with his siblings. Along with it, he's been busy working at the comfort of their home in Ilocos. His executive assistant together with his staff prepares all his materials, scheduled all his meetings, sends reports and reminders, and other tasks and updates regarding the status of the business. All these resulted into sleepless nights and skipping of meals making him feel sick and frail.

"Anong nararamdaman mo? Nahihilo ka pa ba?" Imee asked after Bongbong said he's been feeling dizzy. He was quickly assisted by his siblings and helpers. He was hypertensive.

"I'm okay now. Feeling better now." He smiled weakly.

"You have to rest kuya." Aimee said, hugging his kuya lightly.

"Did Leni know?" Irene asked.

"Don't tell her. Magpapanic yun." Bongbong said.

"She has to know." Irene argued. "What if something bad happened to you tapos hindi nya alam?"

He clicked his tongue, "Don't tell her. Ako na bahala. I will talk to her later kapag okay na."

Irene just rolled her eyes. "Okay."

Three days before his mom's 40 days, Bongbong went to the airport to fetch Leni and their kids. They planned to stay in the region for the entire week to spend time with their dad and cousins, it's some sort of a vacation too.

"Miss you pa!" Jillian hugged her dad upon seeing him. Aika and Tricia did the same.

"I miss you more!" Bongbong smiled as he gave his daughters a tight hug.

"Hi!" Leni smiled and gave him a peck on the lips.

He hugged her, "I miss you, Leni." He whispered.

"I miss you too." Leni whispered back.

They soon travelled to their house where they were greeted by Bongbong's sisters, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, and helpers. What shocked Leni ultimately is seeing Liza, Bongbong's ex girlfriend chatting with Bongbong's sisters.

"Oh you're still here?" Bongbong said as he walked side by side with Leni. He was surprised to see Liza still having a conversation with his sisters.

"Parang gusto mo na akong paalisin eh." Liza jested, they all laugh.

"Hindi naman." Bongbong chuckled. "By the way, misis ko, si Leni." He introduced the two formally.

Leni smiled as she offered her hand, "Hi! Pleasure to meet you."

Liza hugged her, "Pleasure to meet you too. Finally nagkakilala rin tayo."

Leni smiled awkwardly, "Oo nga eh."

"I've heard a lot about you. Daming kwento ni Bong about you." Liza teased. They all laughed again.

"Oh nagkakausap pala kayo?" Leni asked keeping the smile on her face.

"Yes yes, pero matagal na. Siguro months ago pa eh. We met a few times sa mga business expo." Liza explained.

Leni nodded, "O kaya naman pala. Sana lahat ng kwento ng asawa ko tungkol saakin lahat magaganda." She joked. They all laughed.

Liza nodded, "Oo naman. In love na in love sa'yo to si Bong eh." She pointed at Bongbong.

"Syempre naman!" Bongbong affirmed.

After a few minutes of exchanging conversation, Liza received an important call. She then bid her goodbye to everyone in the house. She exchanged pleasantries telling she would love to stay a bit longer but her presence is badly needed at the office. She looked at Bongbong and said, "Take care of yourself always. Huwag puro trabaho, baka ma-high blood ka na naman." She then hopped into her car. This causes confusion and curiosity to Leni.

Later that night after the novena, Bongbong and Leni decided to settled themselves inside their room. Leni couldn't help but to think what Liza said before she went away. Is there something going on between them? There's something wrong but she cannot point it out.

"Mahal." Bongbong called her bringing her back t reality.

"Hmm?" Leni looked at him through the mirror. He's already settled in bed waiting for her.

"Are you okay? Kanina ka pa dyan hindi ka pa ba tapos?" He asked. She's been sitting in front of her vanity mirror for quite a while now as she do her skin care routine.

"Okay na. Tapos na. Sorry." She smiled weakly and walked towards their bed. "Pagod lang siguro." She occupied her side of the bed and tucked herself under the comforter.

He hugged her through her waist, pulling her closer to him, "Are you sure you're okay? May nararamdaman ka ba?" He asked giving her some light kisses on her cheek.

She nodded. "I'm okay, mahal. Don't worry about me." She kissed his lips.

He smiled and kissed her back, "I missed you, mahal ko."

"I missed you too." She smiled.

He leaned closer to initiate a kiss which lasts for minute. He started to caress her back, her hips, her bottom pulling her body closer to his. He then found the hem of her night dress and inserted his right hand inside parting her legs. He started to caress her core, giving her circular motion causing waves of lust in her. "Ugh!" She moaned softly.

"Gusto ko ng baby boy." He whispered to her ear as he inserted one finger into her core. She just moan and submit to him through the entire night until she felt the waves after waves of cum fill her insides.

"Talagang pinutok mo lahat sa loob." She panted.

He smiled at kissed her cheek, "I love doing that to you."

It's Imelda's 40 days, a lot of people went to their house including relatives and family friends. They had the novena and a simple lunch after. Imee, Bongbong, Irene, and Aimee were all busy talking with some of their mom's closest friends while their respective kids were busy helping in accommodating other guests.

"Doc!" Aimee almost squealed upon seeing their family friend, Dr. Jim Gonzales. They hugged briefly. Bongbong and his other siblings went to the good doctor too.

"Ninong! Mabuti naman at nakarating ka." Bongbong exchanged pleasantries with the doctor. He is Bongbong's godfather also.

"Syempre pupunta ako. Magtatampo saakin si Meldy kapag wala ako." Doc Jim said jokingly. They laughed.

"Sandali lang po ninong, tawagin ko si Leni." Bongbong excused himself and ask for Leni. Few minutes later, he went back with Leni.

"Hello po, doc!" Leni smiled and exchanged pleasantries with the doctor.

"Hi, Leni! How are you? It's been a while!" Doc Jim almost exclaimed.

"Okay naman po. Matagal-tagal din po tayong hindi nagkita." Leni said.

"Oo nga eh. Ngayon ka na lang yata umuwi dito." Doc Jim noticed.

Leni smiled weakly, it's true that it's been years since she set her foot in Ilocos Norte soil. It's because she and Bongbong separated for years. "Oo nga po eh. Ngayon nalang po ulit. Pero yung mga bata po palagi naman nandito."

"Yes yes, I always see them here whenever I paid a visit to Meldy before." Doc Jim affirmed. "Ikaw talagang ngayon nalang kita nakita, kahit nung isang araw na nag consult ako kay Bong wala ka din."

Leni frowned, "Nag consult po kayo kay Bong the other day?"

"Yes." Doc Jim said. "Imee called me up the other day, punta daw ako dito because Bong was not feeling well."

Leni frowned even more, she doesn't recall any information about it. "Ano daw po—"

"Mahal!" Bongbong interrupted the conversation. "Um sorry pero nag rerequest kasi sina Irene ng picture with Ninong Jim. Okay lang ba? Para din makakain na sya."

Leni paused to look at him for a while, a lot of questions suddenly popped in her mind. "Um sige sige." She answered absentmindedly.

Doc Jim proceeded to the dining area together with Bongbong and Leni. They gamely posed for a picture together with Bongbong's sisters and brothers-in-law. They also continued their conversation while having lunch. Doc Jim shared a lot of stories about Imelda when she was still alive.

Later that evening when they were all settled down, Bongbong and Leni decided to enter their room to rest and call it a day. Bongbong decided to take a shower first as Leni organize her things, still unpacking stuff from her luggage. She looked at their framed family photo which was hanging on the wall, it was an old photo of them captured in Albay. It was before they separated. She suddenly became teary.

"What happened?" Bongbong frowned the moment he saw her sobbing while looking at their family photo. "Leni, what happened to you? Please tell me." He walked towards her and made her look at him. "What happened?" He cupped her face. She stared at him for a moment and began to cry louder. He hugged her tight.

"Bong." She said while burying her face into his chest.

"I'm here, Leni." He whispered.

She looked up to him, still standing so close to each other. "Are we doing the right thing?"

He wiped her tears and cupped her face, "We're doing the right thing." He smiled weakly, "We'll do better this time, mahal."

"Do you trust me?" She asked again.

"Of course I trust you." He answered right away. "I trust you more than anyone. I trust you with my life, you know that."

"Then why are you not telling me things?" She asked.

"Like what?" He asked back.

"Like how your day went." She stated. "You didn't tell me that you still have communication with Liza. You didn't tell me you were hypertensive the other day—"

"I didn't have any communication with Liza." He cut her off. "Last time we communicated nung buhay pa si Mommy. Last year pa yata yun. We talked about expanding business. Yun lang yun. Nothing's going on between me and Liza. I'm not cheating on you."

"Then why did she know na high blood ka other day?" She followed up.

"Kanina nya lang nalaman because nagkwentuhan sa baba—"

"Why is she here in the first place?" She cut him off. "You didn't tell me she was here too!"

He sighed, "Liza went home here in Ilocos to visit a new project sa kabilang City lang, so she decided to visit us here. Hindi naman ako ang sadya nya eh. Lahat kaming magkakapatid ang sadya nya dito. She said naalala nya daw si Mommy kaya pumunta sya dito since hindi sya nakapunta nung libing and burol. Isa pa, hindi naman ako ang ka kwentuhan nya ng matagal eh, it was Irene because they were talking about another project in Manila."

She stared at him for a moment, she knew she was jealous of Liza.

"I'm not doing anything wrong. I'm not cheating on you." He convinced her, kissing her forehead.

"Bakit hindi mo saakin sinabi na high blood ka pala nung isang araw?" She asked, calmly. "I should have come here earlier."

He smiled at her weakly, "I do not want you to worry about me. I know how busy you are with your work and taking care of our kids. Ayaw ko ng makadagdag pa dun."

"Bong, asawa kita!" She reiterated. "Or ex-wife or future wife, again." She corrected herself making him smile. "My point is, we are committed to each other and I will always make time for you no matter how busy I get. Malalaki na ang mga anak natin, Bong. I can make more time for you and for us. Dadating talaga tayo sa sitwasyon that I will be worried about you and ganon ka din saakin. Hindi naman laging masaya lang."

"I'm sorry." He bowed his head. "Maybe I'm a bit scared."

"Scared of what?" She asked.

"Scared of the possibility na magkasakitan lang ulit tayong dalawa. Scared of the fact that we will argue and fight and baka maghiwalay na naman tayo. Takot akong sabihin sayo lahat ng hindi maganda tungkol saakin kasi baka mawala ka na naman. Natatakot ako, Leni. Natatakot akong mawala ka ulit saakin."

She cupped his face, "Hindi ako mawawala sa'yo, Bong. Kasi mahal na mahal kita. Lahat ng hindi magaganda tungkol sa'yo, lahat yun kaya kong tanggapin. Lahat yun kaya kong akuin. Kasi hindi naman tayo perpekto eh, at wala namang perpektonv relasyon. We will fight and we will hurt each other along the way, pero it's part of the relationship eh. I am willing to experience hurt and pain with you, Bong. I will always be here for you and our kids. We will compromise and we will do better this time, Mahal."

He nodded, "Let's do better this time, mahal."

She smiled, "I love you, Bong!"

He kissed her lips, "I love you too, Leni."
