My Divorced Parents (3)

A/N: May urge akong gawing isang full blown story ito haha daming time

---

Bongbong sat on his swivel chair continuously clicking his pen as he stared blankly at the view outside the window. He sighed. His relationship with Leni has been overly dramatic and confusing. The media has been asking him about their relationship in every interview he's having. People from socmed are fascinated with their relationship especially now that they can easily access information, pictures, and clips from the past. It just bothered him a lot because his daughter is the one who's truly affected.

He went to Leni's office to fetch her.

"What are you doing here again?" Leni frowned upon entering his prado. The convoy started moving.

"Leni, we need to talk." Bongbong said, seriously.

Upon hearing his voice, Leni knew it has to be a serious matter. She just nodded and looked outside the window. Minutes later, they both went down from the car upon reaching her building. They silently took the elevator going to her unit.

"What do you want for dinner?" She asked, breaking the silence. She whipped out her phone from her bag and opened her food panda app. "Mag oorder nalang ako."

"Hindi ka magluluto?" He asked.

"Hindi na sana." She said. "Bakit gusto mo ba magluto nalang ako ng dinner?"

He looked at her with his paawa look. "Oo sana. Pero alam kong pagod ka na so mag-order nalang tayo."

She went inside the kitchen to check what's inside her fridge. She wore her apron too. "Gusto mo ba ng pasta? Luto ako ng gambasetti, tamang-tama may shrimp pa dito."

He nodded. He always loves her cooking. He's looking forward to it all the time.

She started to prepare all the ingredients she'll be needing for her pasta dish. It's an oil based pasta dish she knew he liked. "What do you want to talk about pala?" She asked, mincing some garlic.

He crossed his arms and leaned his body on the sink. "Let's talk about Lexie. Irene said kailangan natin kausapin si Lexie about sa real status nating dalawa."

She frowned at him. "Bakit ano ba tayo, Bong?"

He was caught off guard. He suddenly didn't know what to say.

"I don't want to assume things pero we both know that something is going on between us. Siguro ayaw lang natin i-admit sa mga sarili natin." She continued. "Siguro tama nga si Irene, baka kailangan muna natin simulan saating dalawa bago natin harapin si Lexie."

He stepped closer to her. She let go of the knife she's holding. He cupped her face. "I love you, Leni. I always do."

Tears suddenly filled her eyes. "I love you too, Bong. I missed you."

He kissed her lips. She willingly responded. He pressed his body towards her, caressing her back and her butt. "Darling." She moaned.

"I love you so much." He whispered, ghosting her neck.

Minutes after making out, their faces are still inches away from each other. They were just smiling with their eyes twinkling. Their love for each other never fades, it's just that, they both needed time to heal and grieve separately. Now that they've admitted and confessed their love for each other, all they need to do is to talk to their daughter like an adult individual.

"Let's talk to Lexie about this, Love. She needs to know." He kissed her lips.

She smiled and nodded at him. "Sana maintindihan nya ito. Ayokong mas lumayo ang loob nya saatin. I want to move on, darling."

"We will. I promise you that." He said, kissing her once again.

The door of the kitchen suddenly swung opened. Leni and Bongbong were startled, they broke from the kiss. They both turned their heads and saw Lexie looking at them too. They were all stunned to speak.

---

Leni and Bongbong are still worried about their daughter. It's been three days since she saw them kissing but she's still not coming home yet. They knew that Lexie's been staying at Irene's so they were relieved that she's in a good and comfortable place. They wanted to talk to Lexie but she's not answering her phone, Irene told them that Lexie do not want to talk to them either. Lexie also threatened her parents that she'll leave the house and will never be seen again if her parents dared to come to fetch her.

"Irene please, let me go there to at least say goodbye to her." Leni pleaded over the phone. She's about to leave for Boston but Lexie wouldn't talk to her still.

"I want to kaya lang ayaw ni Lexie eh. I don't want to force her naman. I hope you understand, Lens." Irene said.

Leni sighed. "I understand. Please tell her I love her."

Call ended.

Bongbong hugged Leni after the call. He knew how hard it is for Leni to be in a situation like this. "Let's go to Irene's."

Leni frowned. "Magagalit si Lexie."

"Sabihin lang natin na magpapaalam ka lang, yun lang. Kahit hindi sya magpakita saatin basta makapagpaalam ka lang sa kanya ng personal." Bongbong said. Leni agreed and they drove to Irene's immediately.

Leni and Bongbong arrived at Irene's house, they were greeted by all the guards and house helpers except their own daughter, Lexie. Irene was shocked to see them there.

"Lex—" Leni was about to say something when Lexie stood up from the couch and went upstairs. "Anak, please, let's talk."

"I told you not to go here!" Lexie screamed and locked the door of her room.

Leni was teary eyed. Bongbong hugged her.

Irene stood up, ushering Bongbong and Leni to take a seat. "She's still not okay. I hope you give her space. Hindi ito madali para sa kanya, she's been through a lot. Alam nyo yan."

Leni nodded. "I know kaya gusto sana namin sya kausapin ngayon. I'm leaving for Boston today. Hindi ko yata afford na umalis without talking to Lexie."

"I understand, Lens." Irene held Leni's hands. "Kaya lang Lexie needs time eh. She's still hurting."

"Pwede naman siguro magpaalam lang sa kanya. Let her know that you're leaving." Bongbong suggested.

Irene didn't bother to argue anymore. Minutes later, they decided to knock on Lexie's door.

"Anak?" Leni uttered. "I'm sorry, Lex. Papa and I didn't want to hurt you. We want to explain sana everything." She said but she got no response.

"Lex, let's talk whenever you're ready, okay?" Bongbong said.

"Mama's leaving for Boston today, anak." Leni said. "I'll be attending Harvard for one semester."

They sighed.

Suddenly, the door finally opened. Leni and Bongbong were hopeful.

Lexie glared at them. "Now, you're telling me things?"

Leni became worried. "Anak, it's—"

Lexie cut her off. "Ngayon na lumayas ako ng bahay saka nyo na realize na kausapin at iinclude ako sa mga desisyon nyo sa buhay?! Do you know how hard it is to be your daughter?"

Leni was sobbing already as Bongbong held her for support.

"I don't care about the media, I don't care about all the material things you've given to me, I don't care about the fame and all that!" Lexie continued. "All I care about is to have you again as my parents. Ever since Addie died, wala kayong ibang ginawa kundi mag-away nang mag-away tapos nalaman ko nalang na maghihiwalay na kayo. Growing up, sobrang hirap para saakin mag seek ng attention galing sainyo because ever since that car accident, wala na kayong ibang inatupag kundi ang mga sarili nyong buhay! You didn't even know how many swimming and piano lessons you've missed, how many parent meetings, school gatherings, and family days you've missed. You didn't even know when was my first heartbreak! I bet you didn't even know that I'm getting married!" She exclaimed. Both Bongbong and Leni are shocked. They didn't know that their daughter was engaged.

"Simula ng namatay si Addie, namatay na rin kayo." Lexie said. Tears were already falling from her eyes. "Alam kong nasaktan kayo at nasasaktan kayo because of what happened, pero baka nakakalimutan nyong may anak pa rin kayo. Nandito pa ako. Buhay pa ako. Hindi lang naman kayo ang nawalan eh, nawalan din ako. Alam nyo yung masakit? Nawalan na nga ako ng kapatid, nawalan pa ako ng magulang." Lexie cried.

Leni was fast to hugged her daughter after the intense confrontation. "I'm sorry, anak. I'm sorry."

Bongbong joined the hug too.

Lexie broke the hug after a while. She wiped her tears using her hands. "Now, if you don't fix this family, I would love to ask Tita Irene and Tito Greggy to walk me down the aisle."
