Saying Goodbye[Part 1]

Valerie

"So this is the place?"

"Yup." I sighed, staring at the tall white skyscraper, flashed upon by ground lights like it was time for a limelight. Alex shifted beside me, listening to his calm breathing. It may have been a mile away from this place but it still was massive, both distance and height.

Alex shrugged, glancing over at me. "Ever been inside?"

"I've avoided that all my life." I raised a brow towards him, being a long pause between us. "Well, that I remember of." I added on, flicking my eyes back on the building. "You sure it's here?" I shot back.

"Yes." He spoke quick, "That I remember of." I slowly craned my neck toward him, flinching when he double looked at me. "What?"

I gently shook my head, tossing the building a light irratated stare. "Nothing--do you possibly have floor plans?"

"No but I have an idea." He shifted his backpack off his shoulder, swear this kid goes nowhere without it every time I'm with him. He slipped a small but travel size tablet out, turning it on. "Give a minute and I can get into their system."

I rolled my eyes, leaning my chin on my hand. "If an highschool kids can get into their system that's-."

"Got it." I snapped over at him instantly, him shrugging. "I've seen this kind of codes before." Getting to his feet. "I know how to get in now, without running into anyone. There's an fire exit almost straight head." I planted my hands on the ground, pusing myself up and patted the dust off of me while I glanced at the blue print mapping. Something suddenly touched my shoulder, jolting and whipped my elbow straight back. Whatever it was hurt the hell of my elbow, growling and grabbing it as we both parted like swinging doors. I slid my feet into a defensive stance as Alex did the same, watching whoever stagged back against a tree. They tossed a hand up, shaking it.

"Hold it!" They shouted, tilting their head up. It was Aiden. I groaned deep, slowly standing up as Alex exhaled.

"Least warn us that you got here."

"I'm not apologizing either." I muttered, keeping my fist at my sides.

"Whatever." He blurted out, taking his hand away, seeing his nose was bleeding. "We got a bigger problem." He pressed his sleeve to his nose as he walked over.

"We figured a way in, once inside, we can find where Valerie's cure and Kade's-." Alex stopped, a second later his brows fell when he locked eyes with his brother. "Where's Kade?"

"That's our problem." He muttered.

"What'd you do?" I growled, taking a step towards him.

He rose his hand, "It wasn't me at all." He growled back, biting my lip and shifting back as he checked his sleeve and sniffled. "The widow got Kade--he's alive but," He shook his head.

Alex and I exchanged looks, "What happened? Where is he?"

"He time traveled me here." He huffed, shrugging. "But he's not fighting it nor it's not sleeping in him like you." He frowned, "It's consuming him."

"We have to find that cure." I turned around to glare at the building. "I promised I wouldn't let Kade..."

"And Kade made me promise you wouldn't use it on him."

I whirled around, glaring at him. "You're not the one who is enduring the struggle. If Kade is infected like I and being in his condition, he won't last for any longer compared to me. He needs it."

"And I'm keeping my promise." Aiden's brows tugged together. "He'll be fine, once he gets his Sin and he'll clear it out himself." I turned more to him, crossing my arms.

"How the hell do you know that?"

Aiden gestured behind me. "Because he told me. Now are we going to head in or waste more time?"

I groaned deeper, crossing my arms tigther as I stared him down. Lights suddenly flickered behind me, Alex calling for both of us. I turned around, seeing building and ground lights flickered greatly. The lights among the ground one by one, suddenly exploded, creating geysers of sparks. "He still beat us here." Aiden muttered.

"Let's get going." I groaned, walking down the hill.

"Kade couldn't possibly create a current that strong." Alex announced behind, Aiden catching up beside me. "Why are the lights exploding?"

"What's your point, Alex." Aiden muttered deeply.

"I'm saying if it's true that Kade was infected by a widow than the poison is infecting his talents, its already mutating mutated genetics more."

"So like what?" I grimaced over my shoulder at him, stopping.

"People might look at as an ever stronger super human ." He gripped his tablet with both hands. "But if he time travels and he's overloading electricity, what else is going to happen when he does something else?"

"He plays with water." Aiden commented coldly back at his brother, "I don't know there's much worse you can do with a water dancing."

I bit my lip, not wanting to think about it anymore. "Either way--the sooner the better he'll be able to reverse."

Kade

"I knew you would come. All these years--I didn't know but slowly you've been crawling upto my doorstep."

"If you knew, why didn't you prepare yourself?" I stepped out from my shadows, tilting my head to the side.

"Because--you wanted to talk first."

I fluttered my eyes, watching the man take a seat with his tea and exhaled out his nose. "Besides, your friends are here for the cure. I wouldn't doubt you were with them." I swallowed hard, walking closer till he turned around. He smiled, twisting around more and rested his arm on the chair. "You have changed so much since you left here all those years ago."

"With good reason." I murmured, "I know everything."

Cain rose a thin brow, keeping his calm smile. "Do you now?"

I ran my tongue over my teeth, a cold memory flashing in front of me again. I blinked it away, tilting my head to the other side. "I know what you've done, everything." I spat out. "And I want to know why you did it all."

He paused, looking me up and down with a sudden troubled look. "To find immortality."

"So you played with countless lives." I balled my right hand into a fist, gesturing towards the door. "How many more must suffer before you realize you've made her?" His brows trudged together, slowly getting to his feet. I snorted, shifting in place. "You have made immortality scientifically. Congratulations Dr. Falcor."

His lips pursed, twitching a smile. "Where are they?"

I pulled my hand behind my back, gripping the handle of Royal. "You're looking at em." Cain's smile dropped, looking me up and down.

"Explains the rapid changes." He walked over my left, studying me. "And your strength?"

"Don't change the subject." I hissed, gripping the hilt tighter. I gritted my teeth, "I went to find the rest of Sin, instead, finding out I had to kill a widow. I gotten stung by her, I thought I was dying but in all reality, I was told the cold truth." I growled, making him frown. "I killed two of my sisters--Now I want to hear is you say yes."

He glanced down to our feet, walking off the left to the couch. "They were all beautiful."

I glared at the wall, fighting the tears back. "Why?" I turned around, dropping my hand from Royal and glared at him. "Why did you use them as experiments like me and Jackson? Are you that twisted in the head?" I stepped towards him, sitting down and stared down at the ceiling.

"You two had better results compared to your sisters, but I didn't know that after till you two were released and they were subjected and failed their obligation." He grabbed his knees, shaking my head and growled. "Raij was the worst out all of the cases."

"All of the cases?" I rose a brow, stepping closer. "How many were there?"

He shook his head, smiling weakly. "It's actually worked."

I growled deeper, grabbing him by his collar and jerked him unto his feet. "You slime ball." I shoved him into the wall, knocking the air out of him. He buckling over, grabbing him by his hair and pulled him back up. "How many?!"

"Least Ten." He panted. I dropped my hands, stepping back from him in shock. "Raij, your sisters, and six more."

"Seven including Dr. Rolind's daughter. Neico, known for making medicines. Slogan: We care about family." I snorted, glancing off to the side for a second. "This company doesn't care about families, health, sure if they are using their own children then why the fuck do they choose that?"

"Valerie." He blinked, "By who."

"The first one I killed, down in the peacekeeper's Gates." I nodded. "My oldest sister." I shook my head, starting to walk off before my finger flew up. "One last question." I slowly turned back, snarling deep with a grin. "Where's Sin?"

Aiden

I ducked a razor stick, swinging my elbow back. Glaring over my shoulder as the guy slammed head first into the wall, I glanced over at Alex seeing him kick a guy away then flick his zippo light open.

"No fire, Alex!" I shouted, moving out of the way as another came over. Dancing away from his shimmering spike, Alex growled and yelled out; catching punch a guy across the face. Blood splattered onto the floor, the man stumbling to the ground, "Do you still have the map up?"

"Give me a second." He side kicked a guy, sending him through the wall before he slipped his backpack off his shoulder. A girl came around corner and ran out, pulling a spike out.

"Alex!"

Valerie growled, blurring off from my right side. Her black wolf jumped off a couple then jumped off the wall, tackling the girl to the floor. Alex jolted and glanced over his shoulder back at Valerie as she shook the body till it was lifeless before dropping it, licking her lips and glaring at Alex then me. We need to keep moving.

"Head for the stairs." I called out, punching one then swooped under one's arm. Valerie growled, hearing nails clicking behind me. I ran out to an opening, twirling around and see we in the main entrance of Neico. Glancing up and seeing whiteness all the way up, two stairs spiraling up but in opposite directions like a DNA strand. "Alex. Directions."

"The left stairs." He panted, standing next to Valerie's shoulder. He pointed, about to move but then glanced passed me. "Aiden, duck."

I ducked instinctively, Alex whipping something. A gargling noise lurked behind me, standing up and turning around. A man was standing not a foot off from us, his fingers twitching closer to the little dagger sticking out of his throat.

When were you so good at throwing knives? Valerie perked her ears at him, Alex locked his tablet and drooped it to his side, shrugging. "I met a kid in detention last year, been practicing since." He smirked, "Now come on." He smirked, jogging toward the stairs. I rose a brow at Valerie as she glanced at me, shocked as well. Don't piss him off.

"Exactly." I muttered, following after him.

Taking two steps at a time while running up the stairs, I glanced over my shoulder and groaned. "We're getting a crowd."

I wouldn't doubt it. Valerie padded along my right side.

"I'll catch up." I announced, stopping and twirling around.

"Aiden, no!" Alex yelled. He's right, we don't know much about this place. I smirked over my shoulder at them, "I'll be fine. I said no fire for reason." I winked, turning back to the group running at me. I inhaled deeply, rolling my wrist behind throwing both hands forward.

Kade

"It's been too long, my love." I smiled, glancing around the white doom room. The markings on my right arm were projected along the top, smirking bigger at Sin. She stood up on a stand, speckled dust floating around her. Closer I got, I heard her sweet whispers. I pulled Royal out from my back, twirling the blade around as I walked closer. "Now we can truly be one." I stepped closer, seeing the shimmering dust started to fade. I stopped just before that beautiful staff, looking her up and down. The bottom of her appeared aged and even cracked with no carved marking whatsoever, but the top was still like brand new all those years ago. I smirked, reaching forward to finally have her again.

"Long time no see, brother."

I exhaled through my nostrils, staring at Sin. In my hand, I felt Royal starting to tremble. So close yet so far. I slowly turned back to see my doppleganger, "Jackson." I smirked, reaching out and grabbed Sin firmly. The coldness surged through me, feeling her take me in. She clawed her nails along my ribs, numbing my rotting wound before suddenly feeling the burning sensation. I sucked a breath in, feeling icy cold and fresh. "Do you know how good it feel to have something of yours returned." I turned back to Sin, pulled her towards me, watching her bottom regenerate back to new and jointed back together. "It's paradise." I slowly rose Royal up, looking in-between the two. Now what is spear and dagger going to make when combined.

"I came to warn you guys."

I rose a brow over at him, smirking at me. "The cure...she's with our last living sister." I stared longer at him, not wanting to believe it but that's with whats going on here; I would expect it.

"Thanks for the advice." I glanced back to between the two weapons. Raij didn't tell me how to mend the two together.

"Alekxander is here by the way."

I snapped my head now over at him, "He's protecting the door from them getting in. They're going to need you."

"I did make a promise." flickering my eyes to the wall. "And that's just what I'm going to do."

Valerie

I slid to a stop, seeing multiple men lined up in front of a door. I bared my teeth, stepping forward but Alex held his arm in front of me. "We gotta wait for Aiden, he'll be up in no time."

I parted my jaw, snarling louder. I don't care, they're in my way! I took a step closer, an explosion suddenly happening. I stumbled back into Alex who gripped onto my shoulder, glancing back at the black smoke as red static flickered before going out. That color, it's-

"Fury." Alex finished, the smoke clearing up to see its wielder. Going breathless.

Jake.

My joints locked up. No-no, it couldn't be! He was a human! I knew he was, he didn't feel any different. "No...it can't be!" I blurted out-loud, Jake smirking and pulled Fury apart into two short axes jointed by a black chain, Fury was back to being blazing red which meant. "He's Alekxander." I whispered. "One of the last."

"I don't know who you're talking about but I expect you to turn back and walk out of here like a good little dog you are." He smirked.

I growled, stepping away from Alex and rose my head higher. "No—I will get what I came for."

"Let's see if you can get passed me first."

Alex grabbed a handful of my fur, "Valerie, you can't. Just wait till Aiden gets here, three against one."

"There won't be three nor even one. She's not even a half." He snorted.

I bared my teeth, him starting to swing them. He smiled bigger, seeing he too had fangs as he ripped his right axe toward me. A red light bolt surged from it, ripping through the floor tiles and towards us. I growled, Alex yelling at me, feeling the floor tremble as it shot closer. My legs couldn't move. How? Why? Jake was against all of this—why was he here? The lights suddenly flickered, my heart skipping a beat.

The red lightning bolt shot unto the ceiling, the room lighting up red before gradually it flickered out. I took a step back from all of the smoke that happened, seeing red like static flicker here and there in it. The smoke slowly cleared up, seeing a figure stand up from a croutch. Standing there with their head hung low, slowly, their head raised. "Jake never existed, Valerie."

My eyes widened as the smoked cleared a little more to get a new look at Kade. His eyes were no longer normal, one was still steel grey but the other was a ocean blue, his hair wasn't fully blue but only just the tips; his roots jet black. The markings on his neck were now black but then faded to a glowing florescent blue down to his fingertips. He picked up Sin, like him too, it was different. Now it was a sycthe with markings long along her large black blade. "He's Alekzander, one like me." He rested it on his shoulder, smiling at me."Isn't that right, Dr. Nolind?"

I fluttered my eyes, "Dr. Noli-." I glanced passed him to see someone standing next to Alekxander now, the smoke clearing up to see him alive and in the flesh. "Nolind." Tears swelled up in my eyes, taking a step closer as I smiled at him. "But I thought you were dead-I-I saw Kade kill you."

"He was nice enough to reverse time."

I glanced back at Kade as he closed his eyes but was now frowning, "A price must be paid when time is reversed." He tilted his head toward Nolind. "You know that. Now move aside so Valerie can get her cure."

"I'm afraid I can't do that." He smiled, my heart skipping another beat; loosing my smile.

"W-why not?! You told it was going to be here along with Sin."

"Mind games." Kade muttered, "He wanted both of us here; a trick." I snarled, stepping forward before Sin flung in front of me; glaring at Kade as he rose a calm brow then flicked his eyes back on them. His voice was soft but lethal, sending chills down my spine. "Don't make me bring this place to the ground, Nolind."

"Or what?" There are more of us across the world." He smiled, rocking on the back of his ankles. Alekzander grinned, gripping both of Fury in his hands tighter.

"Then I'll spend this immortality you made on bringing them all down." Kade whispered, I snapped over at him, Alex softly saying his name. Alekxander groaned as I spotted Nolind give him a troubled look. Kade cocked his head to the side, "The only reason I'm standing here healthy and stronger is because I was attacked by one of your widows and was stung by her." He smirked, pulling his scythe from me and rested on his shoulder. "Her venom surges through my venoms, for that, I know all of her secrets. And what did I find? She was my sister." he grinned bigger, his eyes got glassy for a second but he quickly blinked it away. I glanced back at Alex, seeing Aiden was present now and too in shock. "I killed two of my sisters and the creator of the best weapons in this whole world and that is going to make me suffer for generations." He pulled his scythe off his shoulder, pointing it towards them. "But they also showed secrets, gave me strength, and gave me my true weapon: Royal Sin. So before you die, I will thank you for putting me through hell to find out I am the perfect experiment."

"That doesn't make you any better than anyone in this room." Alekxander spat at the floor.

"It's doesn't." Kade pulled his renounced weapon back on his shoulder. "But that doesn't mean I'm going to walk out of here without strangling someone to death, preferably you. You died but then you didn't. " He squinted, "Or Fury wouldn't be here, no, you were brain dead which is why all these years you thought you were Jake Nolind." He gestured toward Dr. Nolind whom looked slightly peeved. "That's what he made you think."

Alekxander glanced at Nolind who didn't even move an inch, yet a vein in his neck bulged. "Even if you are a perfect experiment like what you pathetic father said—you can't keep the bullshit from rolling off your tongue."

"My father wasn't pathetic." Kade lost his smile, "He was a selfish man who did what he could make the higher ups proud, even if it meant using his all his children to get this far."

Dr. Nolind smiled. "He used your mother too."

Kade snorted, smiling toothy at me with his fangs out. "This is where I'm surpass you Dr. Nolind. My mother's alive and miles away from here, safe and a normal being. He told everyone to make sure she was safe." He snorted, peeking over his shoulder. I glanced back, seeing another guy whom looked like Kade but old version had walk in the room. A short girl beside him from the first time I saw them, walking right beside him. Aiden and the guy exchanged looks, the guy nodded off to him. Aiden grunted, pulling Alex closer by his backpack and told him to get his lighter out.

"What is this?!" He shouted, glaring at the guy that just walked in. He pulled his hands in front of him and smirked. "You betrayed us!"

"Kade's the last of my family." He smiled, "Like Nieco, we care about Family."

"I'll take care of Alekxander. Valerie, Aiden, and Alex get to the cure. But watch out." Kade lowered his scythe, gripping it with both hands. "My last sister is in there, guarding it."

"I'll go with." The guy stepped forward.

"So be it." Kade growled deep, Alekxander slipping his feet apart. "No one is getting passed me. "Jackson, give some cover." Kade slid his feet apart and bared his fangs, remarkably the markings one the blade glowed florescent blue. The guy nodded, raising his hands then dropped them. Like lava hitting water, steam rose up, sending me a little breathless. "Go now!" Kade shouted, Alekxander yelling out, throughout the fog, red lightning crackled straight forward. A blue stream like beam suddenly shot towards it, clashing it and sending red and blue sparks everywhere. Aiden grabbed a handful of my shoulder and pulled me, stumbling a little before running behind Kade who pushed off his left foot forward.

"Tonya, take out the guards." Jackson demanded, The girl pulling out two daggers and lowered her to her side. "Got it." She ran off to the side,
