It's my birthday, ekk!

Also damn! Almost 12k reads. I swear last week it was only 10k. 

Anywho, because I don't want this chapter just to be about my birthday and my reader goals. Let's talk about some shit I've been waiting to talk about. Some might be controversial or they just feel controversial to me. Before anyone picks a fight, although I would like to believe most of the people that read this fanfic are pretty chill, remember this is just a fanfic. 

First, the states. Now as said in the what to do about Delaware note, I've been wondering wtf to do about the Louisiana Purchase. And to be honest, what to do about all the states. What do I mean? Well, whether or not to make the Southern states Black or in general what states to make Black/African American. With a lot of thinking, I've come up with multiple reasons to not. The clearest one, the Confederate states. Yeah no, it's pretty self-explanatory why that's not a good idea. It might make some good angst but still no, my writing skills aren't good enough to make that fit. What about Alabama and the other states that came from the French and Indian War? They should be Native American with a bit of French. Orginal 13? Well, Georgia, Virginia, and the Carolinas are out.  Doesn't make sense for any of the others. Texas and all the Spanish/Mexican states? It's in the name. The French states are gonna get a bit darker tho when I edit their chapters and future French states. Who knows I might make a state that doesn't encounter any of those problems Black. 

Second! General shit I forgot to think about. Pennsylvania, Prussia, and World War 2. Talk about big oof. During this time I headcanoned that Penny would dump all of her Prussia and German worship shit into a box. It would be replaced with pretzel merch. In the current era the story is in, Prussia is only slightly starting to get back into Pennsylvania's good graces because of his involvement in the Awesome trio. Penny probably still wears the pretzel merch more than she wears an Iron Cross. 

Second part 2! Hawaii, Japan, World War 2. Fucking greater oof. In Hawaii's chapter, I want to avoid right and wrong. People tend to get into big fights about both bombings and who is in the wrong. The problem is it was war and comparing disasters isn't a good idea. I hate debates especially when it comes to war, government, and politics. Anywho, if I wanted to avoid fights, why did I make Hawaii want to eat Japan's spleen? Basically, kinda tired of the same 'Hawaii is frightened by Japan and cries when she first sees him'.

Third! The chapters. For anyone who doesn't know yet, the aim is 100 chapters, not including the author's notes. The first 50 were saved for the states. The next 50 are for mini-stories/the main storyline. Now, there's a chance I might go over that. To be honest, felt like giving up this story right around Mississippi. This was a pretty big project to take up for my first fanfic. Although, I've learned a fucking lot by writing this. Mostly to not overwork myself. Also that I enjoy writing stories a lot. 

Fourth! When will this be done? I don't know. The summer uploads will be slow most likely. I might focus on writing chapters instead of posting them. The latest will probably be the end of November. 

Fifth! What comes after this? I don't actually know what I'll do after this story is finished. It's likely I won't stop writing about the states. I might make a one-shot book filled with stories from their past and present/future. I write a lot on Archive of Our Own or Ao3. Currently have an ongoing one-shot series. Although I do have a lot of story ideas. The one I might start writing after or near the end of this is a story about Confederacy and America. A story without the states, just about the two as brothers and how the other nations find out about Connie. Still eyeing that idea about Confederacy and America being married at some point and having a toxic relationship buttttt that's way too much angst for me to write. Other than that? Maybe a few rare pair stories. 

Sixth! Minnesota???? He's coming and he's fucking adorable. 

Tiny spoilers because the ideas I wrote down are too fucking funny.

England gets his ass kicked. 

China hugs the shit out of Alaska. 

Belarus and Alaska get along! And it's scary.  

New York's crush on France is adorable and France totally knows it. 

New York's dream of laying next to France in bed might come true. And not like that! France is going to wait a few years for him to grow up. France might be a little pervert but he's not a pedo. 

Mississippi is actually really sweet and just has problems. 

Norway pack bonds with Alaska and terrifies Denmark. 

South Italy traumatizes the states. 

He and New York bond. 

New Jersey gets his accent mocked tho. 

Mexico gets bullied by his older brothers later. 

Greenland gets to spend time with the states.

And she threatens to cut off South Italy's dick. 

America has an Italian renaissance body and one Italian is a little too into it.
