It had now been two months into our engagement and I noticed that I had been missing periods, which could only mean one thing. Me and Bruce had been sleeping together a lot recently, so I wouldn't be surprised if I was. As soon as I got ready I went to chemist and did the test as soon as I returned home. Bruce was currently doing business type things and my Grandfather was down in the Batcave cleaning and such. I waited ten minutes for the result and butterflies erupted in my stomach when two lines appeared on the screen. I was pregnant. I couldn't wait to tell Bruce.

I went down the Batcave lift to tell my Grandfather first. "Grandad? Where are you?" I called loudly after looking for him in the main bit. "Near the waterfall sweet-heart." I heard him reply. When I found him he was cleaning this hidden bookcase behind the waterfall. "I have some news... I'm pregnant..." I announced.  His face lit up and he said "Congratulations darling." I smiled and hugged before asking him to help me organise a nice dinner to tell Bruce at.

At 6pm Bruce arrived home and looked pleasantly surprised when I was waiting for him at the candle lit table. After we had our three course meal I decided to tell him. "Bruce... we're having a baby..." I informed him. His eyes sparkled and a huge smile painted his face. "That's amazing Eleanor, I'm so happy." He beamed. "This is a huge commitment though Bruce, I'm going to need you during scans and that." I told him seriously. Bruce nodded and answered "I know, I promise I won't miss any of them, no matter how many baddies there are in the world, you and our baby are my priority now." I sighed with relief and kissed him on the lips, I hoped that he would keep his promise.
