Chapter Nineteen~Becoming Mrs Wayne.

It was December the 15th and it was my wedding day, Joseph was now 4 months old. I woke up especially early to get myself ready. I curled my hair and clipped it up before applying light makeup to my skin. I then carefully put on my dress and went to find my Grandfather to lace it up at the back. My dress was absolutely stunning. At the top it was strapless and covered in silver sequins then the bottom was all puffed out and was all net with a long train. The back was like a lace up corset. When I was finally ready, my Grandfather and I got in the wedding car that was waiting outside to take us to to location, which was an old fashioned Gothic church.

Nerves hit me as I stood behind the grand doors waiting to go down the aisle. "I just wanted to say that I'm so proud of you Eleanor, and all that you've achieved." My Grandfather said to me smiling. I kissed his cheek before walking down the aisle with my arm linked with his as the doors opened. From the corner of my eyes I could see people grinning at me but my focus was on the man who was waiting for me at the altar. When I reached him I took his awaiting hand. "You look perfect." Bruce complimented, I beamed and returned the compliment. Bruce was wearing a jet black and white tuxedo. When the vicar had finished all the religious stuff it was finally time for our vows.

Bruce stared deeply into my eyes before saying his first "Eleanor Victoria Pennyworth, you've been the reason for my smile. You've taught me to love again. You're everything and more to me and I promise to love you endlessly and care for you and always be loyal. You and Joseph are my dream come true. So, I give you this ring as a token of my love and to mark the beginning of our happy future." I smiled widely at him as he slid the silver ring on my finger. I took a deep breath before replying with my vows "Bruce Wayne, you are the world to me and without you my life wouldn't be as happy. You and Joseph complete me. You make me feel special and you're perfect in every way. I give you this ring as a promise to be loving, caring and loyal for infinity." He was beaming when I slid a similar ring on his finger. "By the power invested in me, I now pronounce you man and wife, you may kiss the bride." The vicar announced. Bruce lit up and he gazed at me before leaning forward and placing his lips on mine to the many cheers. The day was flawless.

Our life after we got married was perfect and full of happiness, Bruce had found a healthy balance between being Batman and a father. People also respected our privacy, allowing us to bring Joseph up in the best way. Bruce and I were the happiest people on the planet.
