Marinette went down to her bed and laid down. She expressed her concerns and questions to Tikki.

"Marinette, even you don't know if the baby is a boy or not, it could've been a guess!" Tikki reasoned, "And plus, you spoke to him about Adrien a lot before, so it was probably another guess."

"You're right, Tikki." Marinette sighed. "You're always here to talk me out of my overthinking. What would I do without you?"

"You wouldn't be Ladybug, for one." They giggled.

They said their goodnights and fell asleep.

For the next few days, Marinette and Adrien decided they were going to tell Marinette's parents first. They planned and planned and planned.

The days turned into weeks. Thankfully, Marinette and Adrien were able to keep up with their studies, and "extracurriculars".

As for Ladybug and Chat Noir, their chemistry never left. Although they had some trouble with each other's identities, as Ladybug and Chat Noir, they had no problems. One change that Ladybug happened to notice was that Chat Noir slowly stopped flirting with her.

"Have you found another?" She asked him one day.

"Yes." He smiled at her. "I have."

"Oh.." She lowered her head.

"Ladybug," He titled her chin up to him, "We had our chance, and we didn't take it. We've no one to blame but ourselves. But I'm happy now."

"I understand." She forced a smile up at him. "I hope she treats you well. I'm happy for you."

"Thank you, Ladybug." He turned around and walked to the edge of the building. "I hope you find someone some day."

"Goodbye Chat."

"Goodbye Ladybug."

Before Chat Noir jumped off the building, he pulled out a gun and shot her. He jumped off the building and headed home.

Ladybug felt the emotional pain in her heart. The smile he gave her before he jumped off meant that it was over. He didn't call her m'lady. Bugaboo. Even WonderBug.

She knew it was over. Not their friendship, but their chances. She went home and cried herself to sleep that night.

She ruined them.

On July 7th, 2019, Adrien and Marinette decided it was time. They had to tell her parents.

Adrien felt nervous. They put all their faith in him and he knocked up their daughter, leaving her with a baby.

Marinette starting to walk up her stairs with the gift bag.

She turned around to see Adrien lost in his own thoughts at the bottom of the stairs.

"You coming?" She held out her hand at him.

"Yeah." He snapped out of his thoughts and took her hand. "Just feeling a little nervous."

"Me too." She said. "But think of it like this - by the time we go to sleep tonight, it'll be over."

"Yeah, that's one way to think of it." Adrien nodded. "Shall we head up then?"

Marinette nodded and smiled. She led them upstairs to her parent's apartment.

"Marinette? Is everything alright?" Sabine asked from the couch when they entered.

"Yeah. Everything's good. I think." She frowned.

"What's wrong honey?" Tom asked. They didn't know Adrien was with her.

The couple sat in front of her parents.

"Oh, Adrien! Is everything alright? Did something happen to you?" Sabine asked him.

"N-no. I mean yes. Yes everything is alright. No, nothing happened to me." He stuttered as a reply. Could he really do this.

"Well, it happened to us.." Marinette trailed off to look at her parents.

"What do you mean?" Tom asked.

"W-well-" Adrien gulped.

"Here. Open this." Marinette interrupted him. He was about to ruin their plan.

Marinette handed a blue gift bag to her parents.

"Oh, you two!" Sabine gushed. "You didn't have to call an important family meeting to give a gift for us!"

"Yeah!" Tom chimed it. "You didn't have to give us a gift at all! We love you both so much, you don't have to get us gifts!"

Adrien winced at his words. They loved him now, but not for long.

Marinette glanced at Adrien. Her fingers started to dig into her palms.

"Just open it already!" She forced a giggle at her parents.

They happily opened it and pulled out something wrapped in gift paper. They unwrapped it to find a little onesie. (View chapter photo)

"I can't wait to meet you grandma and grandpa.." Tom read aloud.

"..Coming soon?" Sabine finished reading.

They looked up at the couple. They said nothing. They just stared.

"Is this a prank?" Tom finally asked.

"No sir." Adrien lowered his head. He noticed Marinette's fingers digging deeper into her palm. He smoothed out her fingers and held her hand. Their hearts were pounding in their ears.

"When did this happen?" Sabine asked. Adrien noticed something was odd about her tone. She wasn't mad.

"The time we went on our date to Andre's." Marinette answered.

"So a month ago." Tom stated. Marinette nodded "When did you find out you were pregnant?"

"That following Tuesday."

"That's quite early. How are you sure that it wasn't a rigged test?"

"Because the symptoms show only a couple days after..well..you know." Sabine told her husband. "I'm assuming you took another test though, right?" Sabine looked at Marinette.

"Yes, last week. It was positive."

"Are you going to keep it?" Sabine asked Marinette another question.

"Yes mommy."

"How are you going to afford it?" Sabine asked the two of them.

"My father already got a little excitement around Marinette's upcoming fashion brand," Adrien started. He got a nod of approval from her parents. "She can't legally open the brand until she's eighteen. We discussed it, and for now I want her to work on her designs and upcoming pieces."

"What about you?" Tom asked.

"Fortunately, my father has put me in the modeling business since his fashion brand came out." Adrien replied. "I've been modeling for his brand for free, but a lot of other brands have reached out to me an offered a price. For the next eight months I'll model for them and I'll save all of my money. I just want Marinette to focus on her fashion brand and her school."

"We completely agree with you Adrien." Sabine then smiled and said, "Although we aren't the happiest about the news, we're proud of you for being mature and doing everything you can for our daughter. Thank you."

Adrien smiled and looked at them. Sabine reached out and squeezed Adrien's hand lovingly.

"Have you gone for any checkups yet?" Tom asked Marinette.

She shook her head. "I couldn't make one without you guys. I'm not eighteen."

"Alright then." Sabine wrapped up the conversation. "I'm going to make one for you, okay?"

"Wait." Marinette stopped her from standing up. She looked at her parents. "You aren't going to discipline me? Or get mad at me? Or even speak to me in a stern tone? I'm pregnant at 16 for god's sake!"

"We aren't happy with either of you." Tom looked at the two of them. "But we know now that you are maturing young adults. We know now that you've learned from your mistakes, and if you haven't, I'm sure the baby will teach you to learn once it's born."

"You have to understand that this is serious, though." Sabine added. "A baby isn't something that you can toss away when you don't want it. It's going to be your full-time job for the next eighteen to twenty years. Tom and I will help as much as we can. We'll pitch in money here and there and we'll babysit as much as you'd like, but you have to remember that this is your baby, not ours."

"We know." Adrien said. "I'm sorry for disappointing you guys. I know you trusted me with your daughter and I did..this."

"Adrien." Sabine placed a hand on his shoulder. "We still trust you with her. Obviously not as much as before, but you're still learning and growing. We know that your father isn't ..er.."

"Father-like." Adrien said.

"Yes, that." Sabine smiled at him. "But we're here for you no matter what happens. You've proven that you're going to treat our daughter and your baby well. We trust you and we love you."

"Never doubt that, son." Tom chimed in.

Tears welled in Adrien's eyes. Was this love? From family? He hadn't felt like this since..his mom.

"Thank you Tom. Thank you Sabine." He cried.

"Call us mom and dad." Tom said.

Sabine nodded and wiped his tears with her hand. "You're welcome here whenever you'd like, okay?"

Adrien nodded and hugged the two of them.

"Alright, we ought to be at the bakery." Tom checked his watch. "We'll see you kids later, okay?"

Adrien and Marinette nodded.

"Thank you so much for understanding." Marinette grinned.

"Of course dear." Tom said. He exited the apartment.

Sabine was not too far behind. Before closing the door, she looked back in.

"Also, it's so hot today!" She exclaimed. "Go outside and have fun! Don't forget sunscreen though!" And she left.

Marinette sighed and leaned against Adrien's shoulder. "That went well."

"Really well." Adrien added. "Now we have another problem."

"Yep." Marinette sighed. "We have to tell your father."

"This is gonna go great." Adrien mumbled sarcastically.
