"The Sandboy just checked in. Now nightmares can begin."

"Wake up!" Alix yelled to Adrien and Marinette.

Everyone was awake except for them. Sandboy was all the way across the city, but his voice echoed throughout Paris.

"It's fine everyone!" Alya said frantically when they wouldn't wake up. "You guys run, Nino and I will take care of them!"

"Are you sure?" Max asked. "I'm 100% certain that they won't wake up in time, and their nightmares will be projected into real life. It would be better if we all stayed."

"No, Max, don't worry." Rose told him. "Alya and Nino will wake them in time!"

"Come on everyone, let's go to my daddy's hotel." Chloe started to gather everyone's things. "It's big enough for everyone to hide."

Everyone stared at Chloe in amazement because of her kind attitude towards them.

"Well?" She snapped. "Hurry up!"

Everyone immediately gathered their things and rushed out of Alya's house.

Alya and Nino were left in Alya's room, staring at the sleeping couple.

Nino peered out the window. Sandboy wasn't in sight.

"Should we leave them?" Alya asked.

"Do you think it's time?" Nino questioned.

"I'm not even sure," Alya sighed. "They aren't ever supposed to find out, but the moment Sandboy puts his sand on them, they're going to know."

"Won't they be awake? Nightmares can't happen if someone's not asleep."

"We have to wake up Marinette, though."

"What about Adrien? Won't she figure it out once she sees his nightmare?"

"Something tells me she already did. Marinette isn't an idiot, you know." Alya smirked.

Then Alya's face dropped. "But it's essential to wake Marinette up."

"Why?"

"Because if her nightmare really comes to life, the world will end."

"You're right." Nino sighed.

"The Sandboy just checked in, now nightmares can begin."

Alya looked out the window. Sandboy was only a block away.

"Marinette!" Alya forcefully shook her best friend. "You have to wake up! Now!"

Marinette's eyes snapped open and she immediately sat up.

"Alya? Nino?" Marinette's eyes were wide from the sudden shock that her friend gave her. "What's wro-"

"The Sandboy just checked in. Now nightmares can begin."

"Oh no." Marinette looked at Adrien. "Adrien, wake up." Marinette slapped his cheeks and rolled him over.

The magic sand fell on the four of them. Nobody's nightmares appeared.

Except for Adrien's.

A forgetful Ladybug was sitting on the floor.

Adrien's eyes finally opened, but it was far too late.

He sat up and his gaze was fixated on Ladybug. It hadn't occurred to him that Marinette was behind him.

"Ladybug?"

Alya, Nino, and Marinette watched him stand up and walk towards her.

"Who..who are you?" Ladybug looked up at him.

"Um..it's me. Adrien. You..you've saved me a couple of times." He knelt in front of her.

"No..I..I what?" Ladybug crawled backwards to get away from Adrien. "Saved you?"

"Yeah." Adrien nodded. "From many akumatized villains."

"What?" Ladybug stopped crawling. "What are you talking about?" She looked down at her outfit. "Why am I wearing this? Who are you? Who are you all?"

Marinette quickly wiped her eyes before her tears fell. So that's what Adrien's nightmare was.

'The day I'd lose my memory and forget him.' She thought.

"You don't..remember me?" Adrien felt horrified. He felt like he was living in a nightmare.

"No! Go away! Leave me alone." Ladybug began to feel frightened. "Why do I have this on? Why can't I take this off?" She tried to take her mask off, but it wouldn't budge. "Can someone else help me go home? My name is.."

Everyone's eyes went wide and Marinette was about to dart over to Ladybug to shut her mouth.

"Is..what's my name? I don't remember my name!" Ladybug frantically screamed.

Marinette couldn't bear to see Adrien's nightmare anymore. She got up and grabbed his hand.

"Sandboy is back, this is just your nightmare. It isn't real." She told him.

"Are you sure?" He asked.

"Pinkie swear." She smiled and laced her pinkie with his.

Adrien smiled back.

"Alright, lovebirds." Alya rolled her eyes playfully. "I have to ditch this and get footage for the Ladyblog. Marinette, wanna tag along?"

"Sure. Ladybug and Chat Noir should turn up soon." Marinette winked at Alya and Nino.

"Me and Adrien will handle this nightmare, ladies." Nino wrapped his arm around Adrien.

The girls said their goodbye's and raced to an alleyway. They transformed and Ladybug reached in her yo-yo.

She pulled out the turtle miraculous and put it in Rena Rouge's hand. They exchanged a knowing nod. Rena jumped away and Ladybug jumped towards Trocadéro.

She landed on the bridge which gave her a view of the Eiffel Tower.

Before doing anything, Ladybug dialed her partner.

"Hey Ladybug!" Chat Noir answered. "I heard Sandboy was back. He's the guy that brings people's nightmares to life, right?"

Ladybug tried to dismiss the fact that Chat called her by her superhero name.

"Y-yeah. That's him!" She tried to say with a positive attitude. "I'll meet you at Trocadéro. Are Carapace and Rena Rouge with you?"

"Yeah, we'll see you soon." Chat Noir hung up.

Ladybug closed her yo-yo and frowned.

Adrien had fallen in love with Marinette, but he was loosing love for Ladybug.

And it hurt because her feelings for Adrien and Chat Noir were increasing every day.

Ladybug sighed and she sat on the edge of the bridge. She looked down at her belly and smiled.

"It's past midnight, which means you're eight weeks today." She caressed her belly.  "Daddy and I are so excited to meet you, my love."

She paused to take in the fact that she was carrying a fetus that would soon turn into a baby. This created a warm feeling in her heart.

"Daddy and I are soulmates, you know." She continued. "What are the odds that I had a crush on his civilian form and he had a crush on my superhero form while we were fighting crime." She sighed and looked up. "But Daddy doesn't know it yet, and it hurts me not to tell him. He deserves to know, but that's practically breaking the rules of the miraculous. We aren't supposed to know each other's identities. Ever.

"Don't worry, baby." Ladybug looked back down at her belly and started to rub it in a comforting way. "Mommy will figure it out, I promise."

"Figure what out?"

Ladybug quickly stood up and turned around. "Chat! You scared me!"

"Sorry," He laughed. "Rena Rouge and Carapace are looking around for Sandboy while we plan to attack. Have any ideas, LB?"

"Not calling me m'lady anymore?" She asked and plastered a convincing smirk on her face.

"I told you already." Chat Noir muttered. "I'm with someone else, and I'm truly happy."

*Flashback*

"Have you found another?" Ladybug asked him one day.

"Yes." He smiled at her. "I have."

"Oh.." She lowered her head.

"Ladybug," He titled her chin up to him, "We had our chance, and we didn't take it. We've no one to blame but ourselves. But I'm happy now."

"I understand." She forced a smile up at him. "I hope she treats you well. I'm happy for you."

"Thank you, Ladybug." He turned around and walked to the edge of the building. "I hope you find someone some day."

"Goodbye Chat."

"Goodbye Ladybug."

*End of flashback*

"I know, I forgot. Silly me." Ladybug forced a laugh.

"You aren't mad?" Chat asked.

"No, why would I be? Like I told you last time, I'm happy for you."

Ladybug knew that Chat Noir was with her as his civilian form, but it still stung when he stopped treating her the way he used to.
She shrugged it off and just told herself that she needed to adjust to the fact that Adrien was Chat Noir, and she still thought of them as different people.

Chat Noir said he was happy with his significant other, and that significant other was her.
She should be happy.

Right?

"Okay then." Chat Noir broke her out of her thoughts.

"Ready to kick Sandboy's butt?" He grinned.

"It's a little boy, remember?" Ladybug smirked.

Chat Noir's eyes went wide. "Oops.."

Ladybug laughed and pulled out her yo-yo and dialed for Rena Rouge.

"Any scoop on Sandyboy?" Ladybug asked once she answered.

"Yes, he's approaching the Eiffel Tower and he's headed NorthEast towards Trocadéro." Rena replied.

"Chat Noir and I are already here, meet us in less than 30 seconds."

"Copy that."

The girls hung up.

"Want to grant us a little luck, LB?" Chat took out his stick.

"Lucky Charm!"

A ladybug-themed stick dropped down from the sky. It looked identical to Chat Noir's, except there was a Ladybug button in the middle instead of a cat's paw print.

"Twinsies!" Chat squealed and held his stick up to hers.

Ladybug laughed. Then she studied the stick.
"What would I need this for? I have my yo-yo."

"I'm afraid you don't have much time to think, m'lady." Chat Noir looked up at Sandboy.

"There you are, my pets!" Sandboy looked down at them.

"Ladybugs aren't usually kept as pets, you know." Carapace landed beside Ladybug.

"Or Foxes." Rena landed beside Chat Noir.

"All right, let's get this party started." Chat Noir cracked his knuckles.

The four of them charged for Sandboy, who was shooting magic dust out of the pillow.

As Rena Rouge was dodging the attacks, she was grabbed by her ankle by a yo-yo and fell.
Sandboy caught the action and shot an attack at Rena.

"Shelter!" Carapace shielded Rena.

"What was that?" Chat Noir looked around as he dodged the attacks.

The yo-yo was pulled back by Ladybug, who had a confused look on her face.

"Ladybug? What are you doing?" Chat asked.

"I'm not doing anything!" The other Ladybug yelled as she flipped over Sandboy's head to dodge his attack.

"That's Adrien's nightmare!" Rena called out. "It was a Ladybug that forgot everything!"

"I'm not a nightmare!" The Ladybug who tripped Alya snapped. "I just want to know who I am, and why she looks like me!" She pointed to the real Ladybug.

"I'll handle her, you guys try and break Sandboy's pillow." Ladybug said and charged for her look-a-like.

"On it, m'lady." Chat Noir called instinctively.

Ladybug grinned to herself as she ran towards Ladybug 2.0.

"Sorry, Ladybug, I-" Chat Noir began as he tried to extend his stick to knock Sandboy off of his pillow.

"Just focus, dude!" Carapace called out as he threw his shell.

Ladybug extended her yo-yo to Ladybug 2.0.
She missed, and hit her look-a-like's yo-yo, which somehow snapped in half.

"But how-" Ladybug wondered.

"You broke it! My weird magic yo-yo thing! It was the only thing I could use to defend myself! What if some creep approached me?" Ladybug 2.0 screamed.

Ladybug rolled her eyes. She extended her yo-yo and successfully caught Ladybug 2.0.
Ladybug threw her into a poll and wrapped her up to stay still.

Ladybug looked down at her Lucky Charm.
She realized that her actual yo-yo was supposed to be used to hold off Ladybug 2.0, and her Lucky Charm would be a replacement.

Ladybug looked around the area and eventually formed a plan.

She landed behind some trees and used her stick to poke Rena Rouge while she was in action.

Rena turned towards Ladybug and Ladybug motioned for her to come.

Chat Noir noticed that Rena left and he smirked as he realized Ladybug had a plan.

Ladybug whispered her plan to Rena Rouge, who nodded and hid in the trees.

She played her flute which formed a ball of light.

"Mirage!"

Rena's illusion created a scene where Sandboy's real identity was lying on the floor in a ball.

"What?" Sandboy looked with confusion as he saw himself on the floor in pain.

As Sandboy was distracted, Ladybug extended her stick towards Sandboy and knocked him off his pillow. She got the pillow and threw it to Chat Noir.

"Cataclysm!"

Ladybug landed on her feet, but Sandboy was still falling.
Carapace jumped in and caught Sandboy.

Ladybug looked to Chat Noir, who was looking at the pile of dust before him in satisfaction. An akuma flew out.

"Miraculous Ladybug!" Ladybug tossed her Lucky Charm up in the air, and it quickly repaired everything.

Everyone's nightmares disappeared, and Ladybug got her yo-yo back.

"No more evil-doing for you, little akuma." She split her yo-yo open.

"Time to de-evilise!" Ladybug captured the akuma in her yo-yo.

"Gotcha!" She said when she caught the yo-yo. She tapped it and a white butterfly flew out. "Bye bye little butterfly."

"Pound it!" The four of them put their fists together.

"How about Rena and I take this little guy home." Carapace suggested when Sandboy turned into a regular boy.

Ladybug nodded, and the couple left.

Chat Noir turned to Ladybug and sighed.

"What's wrong, Ladybug?" He asked.

"Nothings wrong, Chat." She replied.

"But when I heard you talking earlier, you said you were going to figure things out." Chat's face expressed concern. "I may not be in love with you anymore, but we're still friends, right?"

"Of course." Ladybug smiled.

"So please," Chat Noir put his hands on her shoulders. "Tell me what's wrong."

"It's nothing." She lied.

"I heard your entire sentence." Chat Noir admitted.

Ladybug furrowed her brow in confusion.

Then she realized.

'"Mommy will figure it out, I promise."'

"O-oh.." Ladybug looked down.

"You don't have to be ashamed of it, Ladybug." He lifted her chin. "If there's anything I can do to help, let me know."

Ladybug smiled because she knew that he was already a big help.

"You're going to make an amazing father, kitty." She wanted to say, but didn't actually say.

"It's fine." She said instead.

"We can talk about it, if you want." He offered.

"No, it's okay. The father and I are handling it very well." She answered truthfully.

Chat Noir felt a tiny pinch of disappointment that Ladybug had another man in her life, but he quickly reminded himself that he had Marinette and Emma was on the way, and he instantly felt grateful for them and excited for their future.

"Okay, but remember that I'm here for you. Always."

"Thanks Chat." She pulled him into a hug.

"Anytime, little bug." He hugged her back.

A/N: I have good news and bad news.
The bad news is that this book will be ending at chapter forty.
The good news is that I'll definitely be creating a second and third book.
