Adrien ran out of his house and towards the bakery. When he arrived, he panted and got ahold of himself. Then, he walked into the bakery.

"Hi Mrs. Dupain-Cheng." Adrien greeted Marinette's mother, her father was with some customers. "Is it alright if I go up and see Marinette? I was thinking she could help me with my math homework, she's the best in the class."

"I'd love to let you see her, Adrien," Sabine said, "But Marinette isn't home right now. She's with Alya. If you want, you can go up and grab something if you need it."
"No thanks, Ms. Dupain-Cheng," Adrien shook his head, "I'd rather wait until Marinette comes home. I don't want to invade her personal space."
"I understand, dear." Sabine smiled. "Would you like a macaroon?" She motioned to a stack of macaroons.
"How could I say no?" Adrien chuckled and ate a macaroon.

"Wait, did you say Marinette was with Alya?" Adrien asked Sabine.
"Yes, she is." Sabine replied. "I don't know where they went, though."
"It's fine, Mrs. Dupain-Cheng." Adrien smiled at Sabine. "I'm just going to find Marinette. There's also something else I want to talk to her about."
"Okay, but if you or Marinette are in trouble, call me or her father, okay?" Sabine said to Adrien. He nodded and walked out of the bakery.

Adrien didn't know where Marinette was, but he knew where Ladybug was. His suspicion came through again.

Adrien went into an alleyway and opened his shirt.

"Lemme guess," Plagg said, "We have to find Marinette. What are you even going to say to her?"
"I have no idea, Plagg." Adrien sighed, "But our talk last night made me realize that I really do like Marinette."

Plagg was about to open his mouth to say something.  A confused look plastered on his face. Then a listening face.
Adrien decided to listen closely too. He didn't even know what he was listening for, but he was listening.

"Ladybug!" A small, delicate voice exclaimed. "Ladybug?"
"Sugarcube?" Plagg called towards the voice.
"Don't call me Suga-" The voice said. "Plagg?" Tikki came from out of nowhere and flew right towards Plagg with earrings in her hand.
"Tikki?" Adrien asked with amazement.
"Have you guys seen-bleugh" Bubbles flew out of Tikki's mouth.

Plagg laughed at Tikki, a little harder than he should've.
"You forgot the spell again, Sugarcube." Plagg told Tikki, "You can't say your owner's name."
"This is serious, Plagg." Tikki said stressfully. "Stop laughing at me."
"What's wrong, Tikki?" Adrien asked her.
"I can't find my owner." Tikki said as she held her miraculous. "She had an interview with Alya, then she stumbled upon Mr. Ramier and then something tripped her and for some reason her earring fell out so now I can't find her."

"Don't worry, Sugarcube." Plagg rubbed Tikki's back, "We're going to help you find her."
Adrien smiled at the two kwamis. They reminded him of him and Ladybug.

"I think I should just wait here." Tikki said. After all, there were next to the bakery.
"Why? How are you so sure that she's going to show up?" Adrien asked Tikki.
"Tikki's owner likes to...um..stay in this spot." Plagg tried to lie. "She really likes this spot."
"A random alleyway beside the Dupain-Cheng bakery?" Adrien asked sarcastically.

"Adrien, I know for a fact that you want to know who Ladybug is," Tikki said sweetly, "But you must remember to keep your identities a secret. It's for your own safety!"
"I know, I know." Adrien looks down. "I just wish it didn't have to be this way."

"Me too!" Plagg exclaimed, "Ladybug could really benefit us. Her parents are the best bakers in the city! Although, that girl is the clumsiest person alive...but if I could get my hands on one of those cheese danishes-"
"Plagg!" Tikki yelled at him.

"Best bakers in the city? Clumsiest girl alive?" Adrien questioned.
His eyes went wide.

"Tikki, are you looking for..Marinette?" Adrien asked Tikki.
Tikki blinked. "No, of course not!"
"Well who else would own a bakery and be clum-"
"Adrien." Plagg says, "Ignore what I said. It was a mistake. You can't know anything about Ladybug!"

Adrien blinked. He never saw Plagg become serious before. He nodded.
"Okay, Tikki," He said, "Plagg and I are going to look for Marinette. We'll be back in another hour or so. By then, Ladybug would be back, right?"
Tikki nodded. "If you don't see me here, that means everything is okay."

"Alright." Adrien smiled. "Bye Tikki." Adrien waved as he walked away, leaving Plagg in front of Tikki.
"Bye Sugarcube." Plagg was about to fly away, but gave Tikki a peck on the cheek. He flew as fast as he could to Adrien out of embarrassment.

"New girlfriend, huh?" Adrien teased Plagg.
"Shuut up." Plagg said and went in Adrien's shirt. Adrien laughed.

Meanwhile, Marinette was frantically looking for Tikki around the school.
She searched everywhere around Paris, and couldn't find her.

'If I were Tikki' Marinette thought to herself, 'What would I do?'

Aha! She knew exactly where to go. Tikki was a smart little kwami, she wouldn't go wandering the ends of the earth, she would go where Marinette would go!

Marinette ran out of the school and to home. She looked in the alleyways, just in case.

"Tikki!" Marinette said when she saw Tikki in an alleyway. Tikki flew up to Marinette. Marinette hugged Tikki against her cheek.

"Oh, I was so afraid I lost you forever!" Marinette said as she put on her earrings.
"It's okay, Marinette." Tikki said, "Mistakes happen."
Marinette sighed.
"Oh, by the way." Tikki said again, "I overheard Adrien on the phone, he said he was looking for you!"
"Really?" Marinette's eyes went wide. "Do you know where he is?"
"No.." Tikki shook her head. "But he said he was going to be back here in an hour!"

"What??" Marinette exclaimed. "I can't talk to him, Tikki! I haven't washed my hair, and I'm not wearing my lucky socks!"
"Calm down, Marinette." Tikki giggled. "Everything's going to be just fine."
Marinette took a deep breath. "I should clean my room though, right?" She asked calmly.
"Definitely." Tikki said.

Marinette ran upstairs to her room and started to clean.

After, she took in her clean room.
"Wow, Marinette." Tikki said. "It really is clean."
"Yeah..except for one thing." Marinette frowned at the photos of Adrien.
"You aren't actually going to take those down, are you?" Tikki asked.
"I have to." Marinette said. "Adrien's coming."
Tikki sighs.

After taking down the photos, Marinette looks at her room again.
"It looks so..empty." Tikki says to Marinette.
"I know.." Marinette says, "But maybe it's time I took those down, you know? It's time to move on."
Tikki disagrees with Marinette, but wants to support her. "Follow your heart, Marinette."
Marinette smiles at Tikki.

"Marinette!" Sabine calls from downstairs. "Adrien's here!"
"I'll just go up, Mrs. Dupain-Cheng." Adrien says from downstairs.
Marinette's stomach gets butterflies.
She hears Adrien walk up up the stairs.
More butterflies.

Adrien lifts up the trap door and pokes his head through.
"Hi Marinette." Adrien grins, "Can I come in?"
"O-of course!" Marinette made a mental note: DO NOT STUTTER. HE'S JUST A FRIEND.
Adrien walks in and sits on Marinette's couch.

"So, what're you up to?" Adrien tries to make conversation.
DO NOT STUTTER. Marinette thinks. "Nothing, I just cleaned my room."
One sentence down, a whole lot more to go. Marinette thinks again.

"Were you expecting me?" Adrien smiles as he teased Marinette.
Marinette's face burns and become visibly red.
"S-sorry!" Adrien stops smiling, "I was only kidding."
Marinette musters out a giggle.

"Um.." Adrien tried to think of another conversation starter. He really wanted to talk to Marinette; to get to know her. "So, have you made the fashion piece my dad asked for?"
Sheesh, Adrien thinks, That's the stupidest conversation starter ever.

DO NOT STUTTER. "Yeah! I did." Marinette says.
"What did he ask you to make?" Adrien asks.
"A suit." Marinette says.
Adrien's eyes went wide. "Wow, Marinette, that's a really big piece. Can I see it?"
DO NOT STUTTER. "Yeah, of course." Marinette gets up and walks towards her closet, Adrien not far behind.

Marinette opens the closet door, and Adrien stands diagonally behind her.
Marinette takes the cloth garment and unzips it, revealing the suit.
Adrien's eyes go even wider. "Holy crap, Marinette. That suit is amazing! My father will love it."
"Really?" Marinette turns her head to look at Adrien.
"Definitely." Adrien says.

Marinette blushes and puts the suit back in her closet. She turns around and bumps right into Adrien's chest.
DO NOT- oh, who am I kidding? Marinette thinks.
"Sorry!" The pair said at the same time. They smiled and Marinette took a step back.

Adrien stared into Marinette's eyes. These are the eyes that looked at him with love. He wanted to give her something, to show his.

"What's your favourite flower?" Adrien asks Marinette.
"Bluebells." Marinette says.
"Like your eyes." Adrien says.
"Huh?"
"Like your eyes." Adrien repeated. "Your eyes are the colour of bluebells. They're beautifully blue, and so vibrant. Bluebells symbolized everlasting love and purity. Just like you, Marinette."
Marinette blushed hard. "You really know your flowers."
Adrien chuckled.

"I've done a little research, Bluebell." Adrien whispered as stepped closer to Marinette.

And yet again, he closed the gap between the lips of the two of them.
