It's been 10 years since y/n has seen any of the Mikealson, except Kol no one knew he was alive. During those 10 years Kol helped make sure she saw Stefanie atleast 1-2 a month.
Y/n feels guilty for it, but in the past 10 years spending it with Kol and how much he's been helping her, she can't help but have feelings for him, she knows he has feelings for her but they both can't help but feel guilty about Elijah.

Right now y/n and Kol are on there way to see Stefanie.

"Mama!" Y/n heard as they pulled up to the Salvatore house.

"Stef!" She got out and they ran to each other and y/n lifted Stefanie for the floor quickly.

"How are you baby?" She smiled.

"I'm good mama! Uncle steffy taught me how to roller-skate!" She got excited.

"Hey kiddo." Kol got out of the car.

"Uncle Kolly!" She smiled and ran into his arms.

"Hi y/n." Stefan smiled and hugged her.

"Hi Stefan." She hugged him back.

"Have you talked to Elijah?" Stefan asked.

"No I thought you would have. When's the last time he came and saw Stefanie?" She questioned.

"Her kindergarten graduation." Stefan spoke.

"That was 4 years ago." Y/n sighed.

"Uncle Steffy! Can I show mom my new rollerskates?" She smiled and gave him the puppy dog eyes.

"Sure! Go get them!" He smiled and she ran inside.

"So how's the witchy witch work going?" Y/n chuckled.

"Bonnie has been teaching her a few Tiny small harmless spells the past month and she's doing really good she's very powerful." He smiled, "How long are you staying?"

"We aren't sure." Kol walked over.

"What do you mean ?" Stefan questioned.

"It's finally over. Maybe. Esther and Micheal are dead along with the other witches, vampires and werewolves that are trying to kill us." Y/n smiled.

"That's great. You guys are welcome to stay here as long as you want." Stefan smiled as he was Stefanie skating down the driveway.

"Look mommy! look!" She smiled as she skated around them.

"That's amazing sweetheart." She smiled.

"Mama who's that?" She turned around and saw Freya.

"Freya." Y/n ran over and hugged her while Stefanie was picked up by Stefan.

"Y/n." She hugged her tightly.

They were talking for a minute.

"Kol?" Freya smiled.

"Hello sister." He hugged her.

"It's all finally over. We can be a family again." Freya smiled at y/n.

*later*

Everyone was having dinner and laughing.

"This isn't my place to ask but...Where's Elijah? And the others?" Stefan questioned.

"Actually I don't know. He hasn't talked to any of us." Freya spoke, "but I came here to get Kol so we can all go find him."

"Okay." Kol nodded and y/n looked at him,
"It'll be ok. You can spend that time with Stefanie and Stefan."

*later*

Kol and Freya were about to leave.

"Kol I- just...Be Careful." She spoke.

"I will. And when I get back. We can finally have that talk." He spoke hugging her and kissing her head, but y/n pulled him into a kiss.

"I'll see you soon." She smiled, he smiled back,and he got in the car and they drove off

"What's going on between you two?" Stefan questioned.

"I don't know Stefan. It's been 10 years since I saw Elijah and...Kol he's been there for me. He's been at every one of stefanies events and he didn't dip out and leave her for 9 months. And he's been trying to help me get over the fact that Elijah may never come back. Kol held me when I cried scared that I may never see Stefanie again." Y/n spoke.

"You love him. I get it you knew Elijah for a year and you had a kid. With Elijah you were more forced into the relationship with him for Stefanie. But with Kol you got to know him and you figured out what you wanted. And that's okay. Y/n You deserve to have your true love, You get 3 loves I know from experience. The first is your first love which was Jeremy Gilbert, then there was your second live which was the hard one which was Elijah, Then there the third you don't see it coming but it's blind love you don't expect yourself to fall for them but you do. And that's your true love." Stefan spoke.

"I think I love kol, but I can't do that to Elijah." Y/n spoke.

"He will understand." Stefan smiled.

*a week and a half later*

Y/n was coloring with chalk on the conference with Stefanie and Stefan.

They heard a car pull up and y/n watched as Kol got out of the front seat and saw her was bleeding.

"Kol!" She stood up and ran to him, "are you ok? What happened!?"

"Y/n, I'm okay! I'm okay! I just got scratched up a bit I'm okay." He lifted his shirt, "see it's healed. I'm okay."

She pulled him into a hug not wanting to let go but eventually did to hug Freya and finn.

"Uncle!" Stefanie ran over into kols arms.

Another car pulled up and klaus and Rebekah got out. He quickly walked over and hugged y/n. Rebekah then joined the hug.

"Hi Stefanie." Rebekah smiled and she got scared and ran to Stefan and y/n followed her.

"Uncle who are those people?" Stefanie looked up at him.

"That's your family. You see that's klaus and finn, your uncles, that's Freya and Rebekah your aunties and that's your cousin Hope, and that-" he saw Elijah, "That's Elijah. Your...Dad."

Y/n heard what he said and looked up to see Elijah walked towards her.

"Mama who is he?" Stefanie asked.

"Baby that's your dad." Y/n spoke.

"Hi Stefanie." Elijah kneeled.

"I want kolly!" Stefanie hid behind y/n.

"Kolly?" Elijah mumbled.

"He's over there by the car." Y/n spoke and Stefanie ran off and jumped into kols arms.

*later*

Everything was awkward between Y/n, Kol and Elijah.

Kol and y/n we're standing in the kitchen doing the dishes.

"You ok?" Kol questioned.

"I don't know. It's weird being here. All of us together. And with Elijah. I just..." she sighed.

"Don't want to tell him..." Kol sighed.

"No Kol I do. It's just...I don't know how too. It's kinda hard to tell the man of your child and the man you loved that youre in love with his younger brother." She spoke running her hands through her hair.

"I know. I will wait until you want to tell him." Kol nodded, she leaned in and kissed him.

He placed his hands on her waist and smiled into the kiss, she wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Hey y/n you missed a few-" Elijah walked in and saw them, "Plates..."

"Elijah." Y/n looked at him with wide eyes.

"Brother." Kol stepped forward and Elijah punched him.

"Elijah!" Y/n yelled and tried to stop the two.

They crashed through the door, everyone was freaking out trying to stop it but Stefan just sat.

"Elijah! Kol! Enough!" Y/n yelled and Elijah broke a chair and stabbed Kol in the heart with it.

"Mama!" They heard Stefanie scream and cry.

"Stef." Y/n looked at her with tears streaming down her eyes, Stefan vamp sped Stefanie up to her room.

Elijah got off of Kol and y/n ran over to Kol pulling the stake out of his chest, he started undecicating.

"Y/n. I- I'm sorry." Elijah spoke.

"We need to talk." Y/n pulled him away.

"Y/n...when did this start between you and Kol?" Elijah spoke.

"A few months ago." She sighed and he turned away angrily, "what did you want me to do Elijah?! Wait for you to call me back?! I called you everyday for 6 years elijah and you didn't pick up the phone once. And then you stop talking to your Daughter!? I was done waiting and Kol was there for me he helped me. He- took care of Stefanie."

"I'm sorry. This is my fault." He sighed, "As long as your happy y/n and as long as Stefanie is happy. Then I'm happy. Even if it's not with you."

"Elijah I should tell you this though...I do love you but when you didn't call back but kol he was there for me and helped me and was good with Stefanie and I just-..." she paused.

"Fell inlove with him..." Elijah sighed.

"Yeah...but Elijah I'll always love you...just not the way you wanted me too anymore..." she spoke.

"I should go. Bye y/n." Elijah walked out.

Y/n walked out of he kitchen and didn't see anyone, she walked upstairs and heard talking in stefanies room, she looked in and saw Kol reading her a bedtime story.

After he finished the story he tucked her in and kissed her head.

"Can we go to the park tomorrow?" Stefanie smiled.

"Sure why not, how about we go to the park then ice cream and maybe if we talk to mama we can go look at the lights tomorrow." He smiled and she nodded.

"Okay sweetie. Get some sleep okay. We have a big day tomorrow." He smiled and kissed her head.

He walked out and went to his and y/ns room, he walked in and saw y/n taking off her makeup.

"Hello darling." He smiled and kissed her cheek.

"I talked to Elijah. And he's ok. We're ok. He knows that we are together and he's willing to try to be ok with it." She smiled.

"Good." He smiled, "come lay down you look tired."

She fell asleep next to him

After a few years Stefanie finally understood what the family relationship was like. Kol is her uncle and step-dad and Elijah is her dad.

Freya helped y/n and Kol do a spell as to where y/n and Kol were able to have a child together. they ended up hanging another girl, Her name is Davina Ellie Mikealson, she's a kid with a werwolf curse, vampire vampire blood in her system and A siphon witch.

It took a while for y/n and Kol to be able to be around Elijah without it being awkward but after a while Elijah was babysitting the kids and wanting to hangout with them while he hung out with Hayley.
