The Mental War

(A/N My similarities and differences project of Daoism, Confucianism and Legalism and decided to design it with Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. Do you think I should change Bats to Leagalism?)

Batman frowned as he searched for any sign of his missing son. "Flash! Have you found him? Anything that could lead up to his missing?" Bruce asked the speedster.

"Sorry Bats, nothing yet. Check with my nephew," Flash said.

Batman sighed but nodded in agreement. "Kid Flash, have you found anything?" Bruce begged.

"No, not even a small sign. Whoever took him is good at hiding his tracks!" Kid stated. Batman sighed.

"Keep looking, Wally. We don't know when we'll find him, but we are going to need everyone's help. Mind calling Green Arrow and Speedy down this way?"

"Not at all Bats. Right away," Wally nodded saluting to him.

Batman tried to hold his emotions steady but couldn't help it, and stepped back. Shooting the grappling hook, he shot through the city like a real bat. "Don't worry Dick! I won't give up on you for a second," Bruce said.

(A/N: I was going to pause here but, too short of a chapter.)

"I'm sorry Bruce!" After a night of searching all of Gotham the team had given up the search. Oliver sighed looking out the window of Wayne Manor. Wally and Roy looked at the floor, afraid to look into the eyes of Batman.

"It isn't your fault. It was mine. If I had been more careful about Dick's whereabouts this wouldn't have happened!" Bruce muttered. "Why didn't I stop him!"

Slade sat in his chair watching the screen of the boy shivering in his cell. "I should talk some sense into that boy. He would be an excellent addition to the Light!" Slade gasped when he saw that Dick was no longer in his cell. "Guards! L2 section 6! Now!" Slade growled into the speaker.

He opened his door to see the boy fighting with one of his guards. He couldn't tell who was winning. Slade growled and ran up to the boy, slapping him across the face and sending him to his feet. He slammed his chest into the boy leaving him breathing heavily. He took this as an opportunity to speak. "Give up?" Slade asked and grabbed some chains, chaining him to a board. "Unless you wish to suffer!"

"Never, Deathstroke!" Dick yelled and braced himself for a hit to the head. Deathstroke frowned as Dick looked at him as the Bat had always done. The boy was not afraid of him. Deathstroke frowned at this. The boy should be quivering in fear!

"Oh dear boy!" Slade circled him like a tiger. Dick began to look worried which pleased Slade. "I bet you know my secret ID. You and Bats always do, Richard Grayson!"

"Slade Wilson! And don't call me that! I presume you know my alter ego," Dick whispered.

"Robin. Of course I do! As I know every leaguer's ID!" Slade chuckled. "If you aren't going to follow me, all yours Leagues precious secrets will get out!" Dick shook his head. "Then kneel!"

Dick was having a mental war inside his head.

Do it!

No, don't!

You're friendship is at stake!

Your honor is what's really at stake! Come on!

The League will find you soon! For now just do what he says.

"Well?" Slade asked.

"I...I..."
