On the Brink of Hope

(A/N-I have decided since I am super busy with school and homework that I don't have an official day set aside for writing my stories so my updates might be daily or every month. Sorry! I promise I'll try to fit it into my school and academics ;)

So without further or do...

Bruce walked towards the park. He decided to search through the place Dick had last been. He heard a little girl in the park run up to her father. "Daddy! Daddy! I found a phone in the bushes," she told him. Bruce gasped.

"Excuse me, sir. My son left that phone at the park. May I have it?" Bruce asked.

"Bruce Wayne?" The man asked. He nodded handing the phone to Bruce. Bruce celebrated in his head. A clue!

"Thank you. My son can be very forgetful sometimes," Bruce thanked the man and then walked to his car and drove up to his bat-cave. "Alfred, phone Barry and Oliver and tell them to get here right away!"

"Of, course sir. I'm guessing you have found something, Master Bruce?" Alfred explained.

"Yeah, whoever took Dick dropped his phone. It's nothing big, but this might help us better than anything else would," Bruce explained to his butler.

Dick sighed as Deathstroke looked straight at him. "Well?" Slade kicked his side with his hard boot.

"Yeah, okay!" Dick said. Slade slapped him, bruising his cheek.

"Master, I am to be called Master!" Deathstroke growled.

Okay, Bruce, you had better be heading this way right now! Dick thought. He sighed biting his tongue regretfully and stuttered. "Y...Yes, Master," he muttered. Slade smiled (inside his mask of course) unchaining him from the table.

"Good boy! Now come, The Light wants you bright and early tomorrow and I can't stand them seeing you look like you are coming from a wedding!" Deathstroke muttered and he walked towards the door, Dick begrudgingly following.

"That's all? You woke me up at 6 A.M. And this is all you found?" Wally complained at the bat. His uncle had woken him up, something fierce. Wally wasn't the only one with a big mouth!  Bruce glared down at Wally, Wally backed away just to be safe. "Uhh...you know what! Nevermind!" Wally held his hands up in defense.
"I was up all night searching for clues and this morning, as Bruce Wayne walked to the park. That's where Dick went when he left the house and I found his phone there. It had been hiding in the bushes when a little girl found it which means he was there. I'm gonna go and talk to Jim about it." He explained.
"As Batman or as Bruce Wayne?" Oliver asked.
"As myself. I need to talk to him about Dick's disappearance. Later on, if I have to...I'll talk to him as Batman!" Bruce explained. Roy and Wally were talking to each other about something when Roy looked out the window.
"Well, I'm not sitting around waiting for the clues to find us. That's for sure. Can't we get a team to scour around the entire world and look?" Roy asked.
"No, this is not a league mission! This is mine! You should continue searching when you have time, but leave this to your mentors and me." Bruce instructed.
Roy huffed, but held his emotions steady.
"But, don't worry! We won't give up until we have him back and out of the hands of whoever took him!" Bruce dismissed the two boys. "Alfred made you an early breakfast!"
Wally's face lit up and he raced into the large kitchen. Roy sighed pulling himself out of the chair. "I know you won't give up Bruce. But...what if there isn't anything we can do? What if he's already gone?"
Bruce's face showed a flash of emotions but when he spoke he stated,"You're forgetting that I have that sixth sense, Roy. I know Dick isn't dead and I know you do too. Just don't give up hope!"
