IV

Link wiped the sweat dripping from his forehead away, and took deep breaths. It had been a hard day of training for the trainee, more brutal than usual. He was confused to why the captain who lead this group of trainees decided today would be a perfect day to make them do extra and more excruciating training.

Before the blonde trainee could even stand up, one of the other trainees in the training yard ran over to him frantically. He looked anxious to tell Link something, gaining the blonde's full attention.

"L-Link! Captain has somethin' really important to give you!" the other trainee shouted, then hightailed away from Link.

The blonde raised an eyebrow at the actions of that trainee, but shrugged it off and began to run over to where the captain of the trainees was sitting. Once there, he stopped and took a few breaths so that he could function properly whilst talking to his commander.

The captain handed Link a delicate looking letter, and the blonde trainee took it suspiciously. It had the crest of the Hylian Royal Family keeping it tightly closed, and instantly Link knew what he was holding just now.

"Sir! One of the Royal Family members wrote a letter to give to...me!?" Link exclaimed, looking at the letter with a baffled expression.

The captain laughed heartedly, and took a sip of his water again. "One of the Princess's messengers gave this letter to me, and said to give it to you. Honestly, I was surprised myself, to why the Princess wants to see the likes of you in her workroom."

Link's hopes fell at his words, but he nodded anyways, showing no pain.

"Anyways, you actually should be more worried than excited to see the princess," the captain said. "You do know what she is like, am I wrong?"

"N-no, sir," Link replied quickly, recalling all the vicious rumors he had heard about the princess and her many vile deeds. He often questioned himself to why her father never got angry with his selfish and irresponsible daughter. Then again, he also suspected that the king himself feared his own daughter's wrath. It was a conclusion Link had set his mind on since he first heard about the princess's vile work.

The captain stood up and patted Link on the back, a little too hard, making the blonde trainee stumble a bit forwards, but quickly regaining his posture. Link looked the captain in the eyes, then smiled.

"Well, good luck, lad. Under any circumstances, do not piss her majesty off," the captain said, then sat back down and returned to watching the other trainees fight.

Link nodded, and began to run into the castle. He did have to run back to the captain and ask where the entrance to the castle was exactly, as he had never set foot inside it before. Once he entered the castle, he was awed at its radiance and beauty. Everything around him looked like it would cost a fortune, things Link could never be able to afford, even if he worked the highest-paying job in Hyrule for his entire life.

One of the guards in the castle passing by Link almost got the blonde trainee arrested for intruding, but Link quickly explained and showed the Princess's letter as proof he was allowed in the castle right now. Along with that, the guard explained thoroughly where the Princess's workroom was, and even began to lead Link there, since it was a confusing route for the trainee.

The two began to walk there, Link feeling a nervous feeling in his gut wanting to pull him out of the castle and back to the grueling training outside in the musty weather.

He wanted that right now than to see the evil Princess of Hyrule in person and have a conversation with her.

Tamira squinted her eyes at Hyrule Castle just up ahead, and then kicked the side of the carriage, waking the Gerudo leader up from his deep slumber.

Ganondorf rubbed his pounding head in agony, and glared at the Gerudo woman driving the carriage. "I was sleeping so soundly! What's the problem now!?"

She sighed, and pointed at Hyrule Castle ahead, "We're here, finally."

"Oh," Ganondorf said, unamusingly. A thousand questions flooded his mind then, about how those Hylians would react to their arrival.

But he quickly pushed them away with force, and leaned out the window of the carriage to view the radiant castle again. A surge of excitement went through his body entirely, and he smiled as well.

"I'm actually excited about this! I haven't been here in years!" he exclaimed.

Tamira raised an eyebrow at his comment, but didn't look back, knowing she must keep her gaze set on the path they were on. She didn't want to crash or anything else along that line.

"You've been to Hyrule before? When?" she asked.

"Eh...it's kind of a lost memory to me, honestly. I just have these images flooding my mind about a time when I supposedly visited this kingdom. Based off those images, Hyrule has certainly changed in a lot of grand ways," Ganondorf said, aweing the sight of the kingdom.

Tamira bit the inside of her cheek, and flicked the reins on the horses controlling the carriage, making them go quicker now. "That's strange, but I don't care, actually."

"Then why did you ask?" Ganondorf looked at Tamira with a confused look on his face.

The Gerudo woman sighed, and looked back at the Gerudo leader with a death glare of her own. "I was just curious! Stop pestering me, please!"

Ganondorf put his hands up, and leaned back against the seat in the carriage, without saying another word to Tamira. 'She sure is a hotheaded person,' he thought amusingly.

--

Once the carriage occupying the two Gerudo's reached the entrance to the town in Hyrule, Ganondorf felt a tug of nervousness punch his gut. Tamira wasn't hesitant, and jumped off the carriage in seconds. She looked at the carriage again and smiled deviously, beginning to beckon for Ganondorf to 'get his butt out of there'.

Ganondorf rolled his eyes at the Gerudo woman, and eventually climbed out of the carriage himself. He glanced to his side and saw that Tamira had fastened the reins on the two horses to a random fence pole, and then he looked back at the kingdom's entrance in front of him.

"Be a leader, and stop cowering," he heard Tamira whisper amusingly. She then pointed to the entrance to Hyrule Castle Town and for the first time Ganondorf had seen, she wore a genuine smile on her face.

"Go in there!" she said, loudly but not too loudly.

Ganondorf nodded, and exchanged her a smile of his own. Before walking in, he of course grabbed the Gerudo Sword, the gift from the Gerudo's to Hyrule, and held it tightly to his chest. He ran in the town quickly, not looking back.

Still, he was extremely nervous about seeing the Hylians reactions.

'It can't be that bad, right?' he thought to himself.

A/N: Eyy! New chapter! o3o

Yeah, in the last chapter I did mention that I'd update in another two months or so, like last time. But all of a sudden I'm more eager to update this book.

I've got the plotline and story set up a little better now, but it's not entirely complete -3-'

Anyways, I hope this chapter wasn't too bad, and I shalt see you in da next chapter.
