Tatyana pov

I was woken up to the smell of burnt bacon. "Oh lord" I looked over at the cable box and it was 12:15. I definitely slept good last night cause I don't ever sleep in this late but then again I ain't ever sleep on a mattress this comfortable. Jumping out of the bed I went to the bathroom and did my little hygiene which wasn't much just brush my teeth and wash my face and apply a little bit of Vaseline on my face taking my braids down fluffing my hair out. Stepping out the bathroom I made up the bed and cut the tv off before placing the remote on the nightstand.

Walking out the room the burnt bacon smell grew stronger. "Babe just let me do it cause you burning it. " I heard Ms Janet say.

"Janet it's fine nobody like they bacon soggy"

"and nobody like it burnt" I giggled a little walking down the steps I made eye contact with Toni.

"good morning "

"morning " 

"you hungry?" Toni asked.

"Yeah a little" I sat at the dinning table that had view of the kitchen and watch them cook breakfast.

"Okay we have eggs waffles bacon and sage sausage. You want everything?"ms Janet yelled.

"Yes please." Ms Janet made me and Toni plates.

"Here you guys go" wow this look so good.

"Thank you" she smiled and sat down across from me while Toni sat the head of the table.

"You want juice? We have orange, fruit punch and grape?" Toni asked

"Orange juice"

"babe?"

"I'll take orange juice." Toni brought back three glasses full of orange juice.

"With this house I'm surprised you guys don't have and servants doing all this for you." I said.

"Well we really don't like strangers in our home and plus we ain't disable we can do it ourselves." Toni said.

"Sorry"

"why you sorry?" Ms Janet asked.

"Because you said you don't like strangers in your home and I'm a stranger."

"Oh no honey we didn't mean it like and it's not your fault but we'll figure it out." She reached over and touched my hand.

"So Janet is gonna take you out to get some stuff okay? You know like clothes and whatever else you need."

"Thank you"

"no problem. Baby take my card I'm gonna go upstairs to get ready."

When I was done eating ms Janet took my plate and straighten up the dining table.

"Can I have those clothes you washed I don't have anything to put on to go out." I asked.

"Sure honey they're in the laundry room let me get them."

"Here you go" I was hit with the smell of laundry detergent it smelled so good. My clothes never smelled this good I always used to smell like smoke mix with some cheap perfume I was able to steal out of family dollar.

"Wait I didn't even show you around the house." Ms Janet paused what she was doing."come on let me give you a tour"

"Okay so this is the living room you seen that last night. We really don't be in here unless we have company. " we walked down a long hall Leading us to a big red door."now this, this is Toni office" she open the door to this big room where it had a desk , a big flat screen tv on the wall , lots of sports stuff and pictures of Ms Janet on the wall. I can tell she was obsessed with Ms Janet."this is where she usually is when I get on her nerves." She laughed."now this " she walked me to another across from the one before. "This is my sanctuary."it was pink and gray room with pictures of black girl magic quotes on the wall.

"This is nice"

"thank you" next was the two guest rooms downstairs, the movie room, the backyard with an Olympic size pool, their outside bar with a grill.

"This is our room" now we were upstairs.

"Damn"  I looked around this shit was big as hell."sorry" 

"your fine. Come in here." She lead me to her closet which look like a damn mall. "Oh my god this is your closet?" I mean it had all type of sneakers, boots , heels. All type of clothes and on the other side had a door which is guessing was Toni half of the closet.

"So I was looking at your shoes an I notice we're the same size so here. I seen these goes with the colors in your sweater" she handed me a pair of light pink and white Nikes.

"Thank you. Mines were so beat up ain't no fixing them" I laughed.

"It's okay we can get you some more today. now go get ready." I walked back into the room I was sleeping in and started the shower.

It's amazing how a person could have so much. If only she would've knew me sooner I wouldn't have gone through what I went through. I would've had a cook meal or at least something to eat every night other than a peanut butter sandwich. I wouldn't have been Damon punching bag.I sat in the bathroom and cried thinking back to those nights my mom would just let him hit on me for a damn dime bag. I wiped my tears and stepped in the shower. I can't blame her for anything because she didn't know well I hope she didn't know.

"baby can you retwist my hair Tomorrow?" Toni asked stepping out the shower.

"yeah I'll pick up some loc gel while we out."

Toni looked at her wife while she was putting on her clothes. "You look sexy" janet smiled.

"thank you baby. Are you coming back home after you take the test?"

"Im gonna go talk to mom about this. So can y'all meet me there?"Janet nodded and proceeded to finish getting dressed.

"I love you Toni"

"I love you too baby with everything in me you know that" Toni slipped on her clothes and walked up to Janet who was sitting at her vanity. "Baby I'm not gonna lie I'm a little nervous "

Janet turned around and looked her wife in her eyes."baby it's gonna be okay. No matters what happens I'm gonna be here every step of the way. We'll figure it out like we always do. I love you " Toni looked at her wife and pecked her lips.

Toni was honestly scared about the test results she was scared bout being a father and what taking in Tatyana would come with but she glad she has her wife right by her side."I love you Janet Braxton" Janet kissed her lips and Toni deepened "mhm" Toni stuck her tongue deep down Janet throat.

A knock came to the door causing them to pull apart. "Come in" Tatyana open the door."I was just telling you I'm ready"

"okay I'll be down in a minute " Tatyana nodded and walked downstairs.

"Okay babe I'll see you at mama e house." She kissed Toni and grabbed her purse.

"I love you babe"

"I love you too" walking downstairs Janet saw taty sitting at the barstool.

"Come on sweetie " Janet grabbed the keys off the hook and walked into the garage.

"dang y'all got three cars?" Toni and Janet had a Range Rover, Escalade v and a Mercedes Benz which was basically Janet's because Toni was a little to tall for that car.

"Yeah and we're taking the benz today"

"What you like to listen to?" Janet asked taty. "I'm really a R&b type of girl. Jazmine Sullivan, Ari Lennox and Mariah carey are my top three."

"Oh my god I love Ari Lennox. Her and Jazmine have they own sound. this new day and age everybody sounds alike so they are the only ones I listen to from this generation."

" what's your favorite song from them?" taty asked. "I like whipped cream and from Jazmine I like her uh well I can't say that one but I love her earlier album so imma gonna go with excuse me"

"you was gonna say BPW weren't you? " Janet gasped and laughed. "I definitely was" they both laughed.

Finally getting to the mall Janet and Taty was in forever 21. "You like these?" Janet held up a pair of green cargo pants.

"yeah."

"Turn around " Janet held the pants up to Taty butt.

"Yeah they look like they'll fit" Janet put it over her arm along with the other clothes she had for Taty.

"Okay let's go try these on" they went to the dressing room which was in the back of the store.

"hello, you can go in any one"  the worker said.

"Thank you" Janet waited outside while taty tried on her clothes.while sitting there Janet phone rung. It was Toni.

"Hey babe"

"Hey baby. What yall doing?"

"Well taty trying on clothes and I'm sitting here"

"Just sitting there? You mean to tell me you not trying on clothes spending up money?" Toni laughed.

"Haha very funny and no not yet we in forever 21 I'm a little too old for this store. Did you get to the place yet?"

"Yeah I'm here now. Ms Evette is bringing some files now then a nurse gonna take my DNA"

"Are you feeling any better ?"

"Yeah a little. I'll be feeling a lot better if the lady hurry the fuck up." Janet rolled her eyes.

"You're so rude. "

"Ms Janet" taty called from in the dressing room.

"Hold on bae taty wants me "

"No it's okay, I'll call yall when I'm on my way to moms"

The couple said I loves yous and hung up.Tatyana stepped out with one of the outfits on. She was unsure How it looked on her so she wanted a second opinion.

"Does this look okay?"

"Yeah honey it's cute I like the buttons on the side" 

"Ok thanks. " taty went back into the dressing room.

"Okay I'm done. "

"Did all the clothes fit?"

"Yeah. Except these pair they were a little small" Janet took them out of her hand and placed them on the rack next to the worker.

Janet paid for taty things."thank you " Janet handed Taty the bag.

"Let's go into victorious secret " Janet requested

"But isn't that store for sex clothes?"

"Not necessarily. They have an other side called pink which is more appropriate for your age. we can get you some underwear "

Walking into victorious secret there was lingerie on the wall with thongs on the shelves.

"And what part is exactly appropriate for me?" Taty slightly laughed.

"Not this part. This part" Janet led her to the other half of the store.

"They 10 for 25 that's a good deal"

"Baby you can get how many you want" taty smiled and started to pick out ones she liked. Taty picked up a thong and Janet quickly snatched it.

"Anyone's but those" they giggled and continued looking.

Taty got all the panties she wanted even some sports bras, sweatsuits and a couple of perfumes and mist.

Meanwhile

"Give it three days in the result should in Mr Braxton. You want the results in mail or email?" Toni was finally finished with the dna test."you can it mail to the address."

"Okay no problem."

"Can I ask you a question? How are you gonna get Tatyana's dna? Do I need to bring her in?"

"No actually. In some states when the baby is born he or she is  collected and tested soon after birth. It's some good and bad reason for these. Here the state requires the hospital to screen newborn for certain genetic and other disorders. " the nurse stated.

"Oh okay. You know you could've just said y'all had it already on file."

"Yeah I know but it's good to know something. I'll have this sent off to the lab. Your free to go"

Toni walked out to the car. Once she got in she immediately called Janet to check on her and Tatyana.

"Hey babe I'm on my way to mom's house. "

"Hey honey , well were still at the mall" Toni knew how much her wife like to shop so she wasn't surprised that they were still at the mall.

"Did she get anything?"

"Yeah she got some clothes from forever 21, H&M, foot locker and victorious secret now she wants to look at  the little tshirts in this store hot topic."

"Victorious secret?" Toni was stunned.

"I meant pink. you know they got the younger section"

"I was bout to say" Janet laughed at how Toni was acting.

"Well I'll be at moms I'll see yall over there."

"Okay love you babe."

"I love you too."

Janet pov
'Oull they have mean girls shirt I love that movie. " we were in hot topic now.

"Aww they don't have my size"

I looked over to the other side they had other mean girl merch."what about this one. It's not the same but it's cute and it has your size." I held up an mean girl shirt with a famous quote on it 'But you're like really pretty'

"Yes I like that. that's cute. It'll go with my sneakers" she grabbed it and put it over her arm.

"Oh my god they got a 'rent ' shirt. This is one one of my favorite musicals " Tatyana eyes lit up.

"I love that musical but not the broadway version I like the movie one better."

"You seen the broadway version!!" I laughed at how excited she got.

"Yess awhile go actually. They just didn't sing the songs how I liked it. It was very 'white'

"Understandable what's your favorite song? Mines is .."

"La vie Boheme"  we laughed. She's too cute

"Wow that's so crazy. I also like 'Take me or leave me. Well I'm definitely getting this shirt. I'm sorry, can I get this shirt."

"Sure honey anything you want" she smiled and picked up a lot of hello kitty merchandise i found it adorable.

"Okay I'm done. I hope it isn't too much " she looked up at me oh my god she looks exactly like Toni.

"My mom always say Nothing is ever too much.  " I smiled and paid for her things. I seen her mood change. "I'm sorry" she nodded and smiled

"Are you done honey or you wanna go to any other stores. "No I'm done for the day. Can we stop by my old house if you don't mind. "

"No honey I don't mind at all "

"Okay but I should warn you. It's the on the Southside." I smirked at her comment.

"Where do you think I'm from babydoll"

"Your from the southside? No way."

"You better ask about me. You ain't hit a block that I ain't been first."

Wow the southside has really changed from the last time I was here. I looked over at Tatyana who just stared out the window.

"You okay ? "

"Yeah I'm ok. It's the yellow house right there" i wasn't surprised this is cracked out street a lot of Toni guys work this street.

I pulled into a parking spot right in front of the house. It was silently for a moment."you wanna get out?"

"No I just wanna sit in here." I can tell she was very emotional.

"How long did you live on this street?"

"Since I can remember. Sometimes we would have to leave tho"

"Why?"

"Well whenever my mom or I did something my mom boyfriend didn't like he'll kick us out. We would stay at my mom friend house Amanda."

"Wait this was your mom boyfriend house."

"No it was ours but when my mom got on drugs and lost her job. He started to pay the bills and so become the man of the house. He felt like it was his house and he can do whatever he wants even if that means kicking us out." She started playing with her fingers.

"If you don't mind me asking, where is Amanda now"

"Well she couldn't stand when my boyfriend would hit on her so she told my mom she couldn't be friends with her anymore. Amanda eventually got cleaned and moved away from the southside and Damon kept us from being in touch with her. Amanda was the only family I had." I seen a tear fall from her eyes.

"Aww baby I'm so sorry are you ok..."

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine.  um can we go now please I'm sorry." She quickly wiped her tears. I can tell Tatyana was used to covering up her feelings.

"Of course honey." It was silent for a moment.

"So toni wants us to meet her at her mother's house are you okay with that?"

"Yeah that's fine." She sunk down into her seat facing the window.

"How bout when we leave here we can go watch 'mean girls' " she smiled.

"Yeah I'll like that. "

Toni pov

"Damn on yall anniversary. That's f'd up"

"So you're telling me I have a grandchild that's 13?"

"Does Janet know?"

"Of course she knows she's the one that made me go down there." I told my mom and my dumbass sisters the news and now they won't shut the hell up with questions.

"Where is Janet and Tiana now?"

"It's Tatyana "

"Toni how do you know she's yours?"

"You know you have money maybe she's using you."

"She's 13 you idiot."

"Not her. Her mother. "

"So how does Janet feel about this? "

"She's okay. I know it's hurting her because we've been trying for a while now and I always told her I want her to be the mother of my kids and then this shit happens. "

"Well you don't know for sure that's she's yours toni."

"Trina I'm telling you that little girl is my twin she looks like me."

"Looks like you. Doesn't mean she yours"

"Well where is she I wanna meet her?"

"Her and Janet are on the way here from the mall. We had to get some clothes and shoes " my mom nodded and finish cooking.

"Why y'all buying her stuff? You don't even if she's yours"

"Why are you sleeping with a married man?"

"Do you know the mother? " my mom asked me.

"Yeah she was my money operator back then but she got strung out so she had to go. Yes we slept Together but that was only one time "

"It only takes one time baby" I nodded I just wish she would've told me.

"Well I still have to wait till the results come in so." I sat down and watch my mama finish cooking when I heard the front door.

"Hello hello" it was Janet. Everyone went rushing to the door which wasn't surprising they always did that when Janet came over.

"Janet I miss you so much" Traci squeezed her so tight followed along by everyone else.

"I miss yall too" I peck her lips and seen Tatyana standing behind her.

"You just seen them last week. Anywho this is Tatyana everyone. Tatyana this is my sisters Traci, Towanda, Trina, and Tamar. And this is my mom Evelyn"

"But you can call me grandma. Hey baby oh my god you're so adorable." Here she go.

"Mom she's not five."

"Thank you" Tatyana smiled and waved.

"Are you hungry?"

"Yes"

"Good cause I'm almost done cooking. Come on let's go in the living room" everyone walked into the living room. I pulled Janet back before she my sister can take her over.

"Yes toni " I turned her around kissing her deeply.

"Mhm what was that for " she pulled away licking her lips.

"You. You look good" I smacked her ass while she smiled she so damn beautiful.

"Thanks "

"So how did the shopping go?"I pulled her into the sitting room.

"It's was nice found out we have a lot in common and she ask to go by her old house. We didn't stay that long tho I can tell she was very sad she told me things about how her mom was in domestic relationship and he would kick them out whenever he felt like it."

"Damn"

"TONI, JANET FOODS READY" my mother yelled from the kitchen.

"Oull mama what you make?"

"Fried chicken, Mac and cheese, rice , yams and collard greens" Janet eyes lit up she love my mom's friend chicken.

Janet picked up three paper plates. "Taty honey, come tell me how much you want on your plate." Taty came walking in the kitchen along with Tamar."you got sum long hair girl "

"Thank you I actually need a trim"

"Oh girl I do hair toni or Janet can drop you off at the salon."

"Thank you" Janet continued making me and Tatyana plate. filling mines up she knows how I like it. "Here toni. Tatyana is this enough or you want more?" I grabbed my plate from Janet and sat down.When everyone was finish making their plates we all sat at the dining table.

"Alright mom when finna leave " Tatyana had fallen asleep. I knew she was gonna be knocked that girl ate two full plates.

"Babe come get her" I carefully picked taty up bridal style.

"Aww y'all leaving already. I'll see y'all tomorrow " she hugged us.

"Who said we were coming over tomorrow."

"Nobody. I'm coming to your house tomorrow. I wanna spend time with Tatyana " this lady.

"Okay well we see you tomorrow I guess."

"I love y'all"

"Love you too mama"

"Y'all gonna get in my truck.  I'll come get your car tomorrow." I don't like when Janet drive at night by herself.

"Okay but let me get her stuff from out the car"

"No just open the back so I can put her in and you get in the car.  I'll get the stuff"

I put taty in the back seat of the truck making sure she didn't wake up. "Babe let me see you keys" I got everything from out of Janet car putting it in my truck.

"Did you lock my car back up?" I gave her the 'really' look.

"Girl you know who the fuck I am ain't nobody gonna mess with my wife shit."

"Girl shut up" we laughed and headed home. I love this woman, She's definitely my rock.
