Chapter Twenty Five

Tiffany's POV:

A smile on my lips, while lying on my side facing my amazing boyfriend.

Just lying down, entwining our hands together.

Kyle who is still half asleep, is also smiling. His eyes watching me carefully, not creepily though.

"Tiff?"

"Hmm?"

"I love you."

I smile at this. "I love you too, Conaway."

Kyle smiles at this, moving his arm and putting it around my waist.

"You're not going to leave here, are you?" Kyle mumbles quietly.

I frown at this. I didn't want him to ask me, cause I have to go home. It doesn't have to be today or tomorrow, but I have to go home.

"I don't want to, but I do have to go home." I move my head so it's resting on his chest. "But I'll be back, I just need to figure out some things with my parents."

"I know you'll be back, cause you did come back to me." Kyle mumbles to me, lightly pressing his lips to my cheek. "But if you don't, I'll come find you."

I can so feel my face turning slightly red. My heart misses a beat, and I can feel those butterflies fluttering around in my stomach.

"I'm sure you will."

I hear Kyle laugh lightly behind me, "Of course I will."

Knock. Knock.

"You guys better have clothes on."

The door swings open and both mine and Kyle's head turns to the now open door.

"Tyler, you're such an idiot." Kyle remarks, with a hidden smile that I noticed.

Tyler smirks and shrugs. "What? You could have-"

"You can shut up now. We all know what happened and it wasn't that." I exclaim sitting up, folding my arms over my chest.

"That's because they still haven't done it, have you?" Avery says, walking inside the door with a little smirk. "Oh... looky here, she's blushing!"

My eyes instantly move to look at the duvet as I feel my cheeks heat up even more. I feel Kyle pulling me into his chest, rubbing my shoulder comforting.

"Who even invited you guys in here?" Kyle asks them, before mumbling, "Can't a guy get some peace and quiet around here?"

But I'm pretty sure I'm the only one that heard.

I look up at the two standing at the door, wanting to know the answers too.

Tyler looks at Avery and Avery looks at Tyler before laughing.

"Hey, we only came up here to tell you that breaky's ready. But if you're not up for it, I'll kindly take this idiot downstairs." She looks to Tyler with one of those small secretive smiles. "Let's leave these two be."

She grabs his arm and pulls him out of the room.

I just sit there watching the scene carefully, while Kyle silently does the same.

"You know what will happen if we leave them alone right?" I hear him say before Avery closes the door behind them, cutting off Avery's response.

Kyle sighs dropping back on the bed pulling me with him, his arm still wrapped around my stomach.

"They are so annoying."

I just laugh, "Well, when you put two people with similar personalities together you get... well that."

Kyle turns his head so he's facing me, a smile on his lips.

"Uhuh..." He stares into my eyes for a few seconds before moving forwards and placing his lips over mine for barely a second before pulling back, leaving me hanging. "Do you want some breakfast?"

I don't reply. My mind is telling me to talk but my mouth just won't move.

I feel Kyle's lips press back on mine lightly before he pulls back again.

I blink, "Yeah, let's go."

"I was kidding, I don't want to go downstairs yet." Kyle whines.

I smile cheekily, "And I was being serious."

I kiss his cheek, before attempting to get out of bed. Attempting being my key word.

"But I don't want to go." He wraps his arms around my waist pulling me towards him.

I smile and cheekily poke his cheek. "And I do."

--

"So how's everything with the BF?"

I turn my head and look at Avery. "He asked if I was going to leave."

"And..." She drags on.

I shake my head, "You don't get it. I have to go home."

She laughs lightly. "Well... you don't have to go. It's a choice, you go or you stay."

She grabs the bag of marshmallows and puts a few in her mouth, she looks in the bag before offering me a few.

"Thanks." I say taking a marshmallow. "But, what if I do stay? My sister and parents are back home. Graduation isn't far away, although I don't really care anymore I probably failed. I haven't even gone to school for months."

"Yeah, people keep asking about you actually. I just keep telling them it's none of their business." She nods before she gets this look in her eye and she grins and turns to me, "But you'll never guess who one of those people were."

"Who?" I ask suspiciously.

She grins before whispering, "That really hot guy from the soccer team, you know the one you used to have a crush on."

I laugh shaking my head, "Key word being used." I stick my hand in the plastic bag feeling around for another marshmallow, coming up empty handed. I look over to Avery to see her plop the last one in her mouth.

"Hey! You ate all the freaking marshmallows!" I exclaim throwing the packet on the grass.

Avery slowly pulls her finger out of her mouth with a sheepish grin on her lips. "Oops."

"Oops." I mimic. "Anyways, any advice?"

She looks at me with a small smile. "Buy some more."

I laugh, "No Avs, about me leaving."

She looks to me, a serious look on her face. "The only advice I can give you is that you have to decide." I just look at her, "What? It can't be that hard. You love him right?"

"I can go back, tell my parents what's happening and then I could come back." I say quietly, "I can't not go back. I have to, I told my mom I'd be back."

"I think that's a good idea."

"What's a good idea?" I turn my head and smile when I see Kyle.

"Hey."

"Hey." He smiles at me before continuing, "Now what's a good idea?" He asks me, curiously.

"We're going home." I didn't miss the look in his eyes. "I've got some things to sort out and I need to get some stuff from my old room."

From the corner of my eye I could see Avery sneaking away.

"Okay. When are you going?"

It's better we go today, mom will be pissed and dad will be super pissed but if I let them know what's going on they may understand. Kyle won't be happy, but the faster I get this sorted the faster I get back here.

"This afternoon." I whisper.

Kyle takes a few steps forward before kneeling down and wrapping his arms around me.

"When are you going to come back?" He whispers.

I smile and pull back slightly so I'm looking at his face. "I'll be back within a few days, maybe a week, just so I can sort things out with my parents."

Kyle doesn't say anything, just stares at me.

"You know I won't be gone forever." I whisper.

Kyle pulls me towards him, hugging me tighter.

"I know, but Tiff-"

"If it makes you feel better, you could come with." I whisper. "I-I mean if you want to."

Shit. I just freaking stuttered. For f-

"You in your own mind again?"

I look up to see Kyle looking amused. He leans in pressing his lips to mine.

"And in case you're wondering. I said yes." He mumbles against my lips before kissing me passionately.

I smile into the kiss pulling back just enough, Kyle just moves his lips to my neck.

I open my eyes just for barely a minute before I notice the curtain inside the house move.

Tyler and Avery. Those tw-

"Hey." Kyle whispers.

"Do you want to go inside?" I ask him, cutting off what he was going to say. "Not to you know, bu-"

"I know what you mean Tiff." He smiles at me before moving a strand of hair behind my ear. "I'm not going to rush you into something you're not ready for, you know that right?"

I smile and nod. "I know that."

Kyle pecks my lips once before standing up and holding out a hand to help me up, which I take gladly.

---

Kyle puts his duffle bag in the car, before turning to face Tyler.

"So why am I staying here again?"

Kyle's the one to reply. "Because, you need to stay here. It's not like you're missing out on much."

I take this my chance to tease Tyler, "The only thing or should I say person he's missing is Avery's cousin. Isn't that right?"

Tyler's cheeks turn darker.

"Seems like it, he's blushing."

"Shut up. I'm not missing anyone, especially not Cece."

Kyle looks at him and smirks. "I get it now. I don't know why I didn't figure it out before."

"We better go, don't worry we'll let Cece know you're missing her." Avery says with a smirk.

Tyler shakes his head and turns around walking back into the house, closing the door behind him.

"We'll see you back at home." I tell Avery before getting into the front seat of Kyle's car, closing the door.

Kyle gets in on the drivers side and buckles his seat belt up.

"Ready?"

I nod. "Let's go."

---

I wake up to the car slowing down, hearing a slight change in gears and a hand brake being pulled up.

When my tired eyes open, I see that we're now parked and out front of the place that is also know as my home.

I turn my head and see Kyle smiling over at me.

"We're here Tiff."

I smile, still half asleep. I unbuckle my belt and open the door, jumping out onto the driveway.

The sky is dark, stars sparkling in the night sky.

I close the car door, just as I notice the curtain move from one of the upstairs window.

I hear Kyle's door close, and hear his footsteps as he walks over to me pressing his lips to my cheek before heading to the back of the car, knowing he's getting his duffle bag with the few things he brought over.

I feel Kyle's presence beside me, his hand entwining , and then head up to the front door. The outside light turns on and the front doors opens slightly.

"Tiffany?" The sleepy voice asks before the door swings open and my mom comes rushing forward, her arms wrapping tightly around me. "Tiffany, oh my gosh. Where on earth did you go? Avery and my car... you are in very big trouble- you..."

"Mom, nice seeing you too. Can we come inside? Or are we going to stand out here all night?" I ask her.

She pulls back then before looking beside me, her eyes widening the slightest. "Kyle? Oh my, I haven't seen you sin-"

"What is going on Kate?" I hear my dad's voice before I see him at the door, with this look on his face. Then his eyes land on Kyle.

"Let's all go inside." Mom says before letting the both of us in and closing the door behind us.

"You're in trouble Tiffany. What on earth were you thinking?" My dad exclaims with slight anger in his tone, "And your mother's car, why the hell would you drive when you were told not to-"

I cut him off then. "I had my reasons, and I didn't come back here to fight. Can we talk about this in the morning?" I ask them, but I can tell this is going to be discussed now.

"I think we need to talk about this now. You were in hospital and then you were gone."

"And why is Kyle here?" Mom asks curiously.

I look to Kyle before back to my parents. I smile before looking back to Kyle.

"Well my little accident made me remember what I had forgotten." I bite my bottom lip before looking back to mom, "Look, I'm really sorry about your car mom, and I promise I'm make sure the damages will get fixed."

When I look to both my parents I didn't realise their mouths were slightly agape.

"Y-you remember?" Mom asks.

"And that's why you disappeared for a day?" Dad asks me next.

I decide to just nod.

"That's good honey!" Mom says first gathering me into a hug.

"Is it okay that we get some rest now?"

Mom nods enthusiastically with a smile. "We'll talk in the morning."

Dad then looks to mom with this annoyed look on his face. "No, we'll talk about th-"

"No, in the morning. Let these two get their rest." Mom says calmly.

I smile, putting my hand in Kyle's hand before heading for the stairs.

"Hold on." My father says sternly eyeing mine and Kyle's hands, "Kyle, you're in the spare room. There's no way you two are sharing a room."

I roll my eyes before mumbling a good night to both my parents before taking Kyle to the spare room.

"We aren't seriously listening to them are we?" Kyle whispers to me after realising the room we just entered wasn't my own.

"Yeah, we are. It might be partly my house but it's their rules. I'll see you in the morning." I tell him, kissing his lips before giving him a cheeky smile and closing the door behind me, heading to my own room.

As soon as I enter, I just look around. My old room looks exactly how I left it a few days ago.

I head straight for my single sized bed in the corner of the room. Pulling the covers over me, I was still tired from the trip, so as soon as my head hit the pillow my eyes close and I fall into dreamland.

---

Heading down the stairs I find my family and Kyle sitting at the table, happily eating their breakfast.

Kyle and mom looks up almost immediately when I enter the room and smile as I take my usual seat on our family dining table. Claire sitting on the other side of the table smiles as she looks up at me, mom must have told her I was here.

"Tiffy! You're home!" She exclaims with a slight giggle in her tone and I nod smiling.

"Of course Claire. Why wouldn't I be?" I ask her and she shrugs.

"Kyle tells us he's staying here for a while, isn't that great Tiff?" Mom asks me with a smile, my eyes move to Kyle who has a sheepish grin on his lips.

"That's great." I say, forking for scrambled eggs in my mouth.

"You don't sound excited about him staying." My father says and I shrug.

"Mommy? Can I go up to my room and watch a movie?" Claire asks, her plate now empty.

Mom nods with a small smile, "Of course sweetie."

"Tiffy, do you want to watch a movie with me?" She asks me.

I smile and nod, "Maybe later."

She smiles and skips out of the room.

I wait until Claire is out of the room before I tell them.

I look at both my parents, they're both looking at me suspiciously.

"We need to-"

"Right-"

Me and my father say at the same time.

Mom looks at dad before looking at me, as in to say continue.

"So you both know my memories back so maybe I should tell you this now." I say, a great way to start a conversation... definitely not. Mom leans forward slightly putting her fork and knife on the table, dad just leans back and crosses his arms over his chest. "I've decided to move... back with Kyle."

The pure silence from both my parents and the looks they were giving us.

Not to mention the pure tension that could be felt surrounding the four of us.

And the silent gesture Kyle gave me by wrapping his hand around mine under the table giving me support.

I knew for a fact we were doomed.
