Chapter 50: Planning

Mavis' pov

"What are you guys doing?" He asked.
I thought for a second, didn't really pay attention to class...

"I think it was something like a concert. Not really that cool, but who cares." It was after school. Shinso and I were going for a walk, we didn't talk very much lately. So I thought we could catch up like that.

Feeling the eyes of someone 24/7 on me is giving me creeps, and aggression. But I need to live with that for a while. Just like not having a quirk for most of the time. "Oh, right. Everyone is talking about that." Shinso turned his head to look at birds that just flew over us.

"You mean mocking us? I heard how they talked over us like we were responsible for everything that had happened." Two children just ran between us, stumbling in the process with laughter. A woman rushed behind them, looking exhausted as hell.

"Don't take it personal. Just like you said one time; people search for something to talk bad about you. It's the only thing they can do, other than look up to you, it seems better to them to look down."

I hummed. The memory of me saying that to Shinso came back again. "You know I don't care about some people talking shit about me. It's their insecurity that says everything. They are insecure and jealous because we made it into class 1-A and they don't." He smirked and glanced at me from the side.

"I always asked myself why you are so wise?"
I grinned. "My wisdom is remarkably natural.

"What are you guys doing?" A little stone got kicked away from me, out of boredom. A man bumped into me, saying a rushed 'sorry' when we both glanced at each other, before he rushed away.

"That's a secret." I turned my head back forward, and just shrugged my shoulders.

"Hey, what happened with training? You never asked me." He glanced at me and then shrugged. "I have someone else as a tutor right now. But I will come to you for more tips."

"Bet you will."

"-I'm still learning drums. Teaching a beginner and practicing myself will be a lot to do in just a month." They were all gathered in the entrance hall, as I opened one of the big doors.

"What's up, bitches." My greeting catched all their attention and they turned around to face me. "Mavis, where do you come from? The sun is setting and you only now arrived." Iida made these weird hand gestures of his, and I only went to take a seat, letting myself time in doing so.

"I went out with Shinso. Didn't know I needed to tell you where I am, Daddy." He flushed a bit, Denki's and Mineta's jaw dropping. I spread myself over the armchair, legs dangling from one side, and my head resting on the other one.

"What were you guys talking about?" Jirou answered before Iida could scold me for what I said. "We were just talking about the school festival, do you play drums?" I shook my head.

"Oh, didn't you say you were made to take music classes as a kid?" Denki's question was directed to Bakugo, and we all looked at the said boy.

"Huh?" Sero raised his fist. "Bakugo, try playing the drums a little."

Bakugo turned his back to the class. "Like I'd do that." Sero held drumsticks in his hand, where the fuck did he got them? "I hear it's pretty hard." Chihuahua tensed up, and in the next second he was playing the drums.

"Where the fuck did that come from." I said out loud. Is it just me that think it is weird? No one said anything about my comment, just complimented Bakugo about how good he was at playing the drums.

"Bakugo is gotta be on the drums!" Denki exclaimed and Bakugo stood up, shoving his hands in his pockets as always. "Huh? I'm not doing anything so stupid."

Jirou rushed towards him. "Bakugo, please! I mean, if you do it, it'll definitely turn out good!"

"There is no way it'll be good! It's that, right? Some empty promises to let students from other courses blow off steam? For the causes of that stress to do that- if that's not self-satisfaction, then what is?" Bakugo looked from over his shoulder to the rest of the class.

"There's no way they'd take that quietly from people they're mad at!" It went on like that, bickering back and forth. I honestly had no strength in even following their discussion. At the end, Bakugo said I think something that should have spirited us up? I don't know, have had listened I guess.

Because they all were happy and enthusiastic in the next moment.

"As part of my education, I studied the piano from a young age. Will that be of anything?" Momo asked nervously. They were still trying to figure out how we will distribute the tasks of the band. While I just chewed on my gum.

"I was gonna have a girls dance group with all the girl..." Mina wined and I sat up straight in my seat. I don't like dancing.

"Could you guys use someone that can play the violin?" They all looked at me baffled.

"You can play the violin?" Jirou asked and I nodded.

"Yeah, I play it since I was 7."

The violin is a beautiful instrument, you can bring all your emotions in it as you play. I stopped playing when mine got destroyed by him, because I was 'miss-behaving' too much.

"A violin would be the epic in our concert! We could let you have a part just for the violin, it would sound so good!" Jirou exclaimed and I smiled lightly. I'm out of dancing, that's good... but I will need a new violin.

"I understand Jirou on bass and Yaoyorozu on keyboards..." Kirishima and the others got back from wherever they came from, and the class explained who got a position in the band.

"But Bakugo on the drums and Mavis on the violin is kind of... how do I put it...?" Uraraka continued Kirishima's sentence and Hagekure ended it. "Unexpected!"

"You got a problem with that?!" Chihuahua barked, and they shook their head fast.

"What do you guys mean? Don't you guys believe me that I can play it?" I raised my brow and they again shook their head.

"I just meant that you don't look like a person who can play a violin..." Uraraka muttered and tried to not meet my gaze.

"Because I don't look like a girl with a big heart? Am I too cold for you to play a violin?" She wide eyed. "D-don't put words in my mouth!"

"Then tell me what is going on in your head, Uraraka!" I gritted my teeth and stood up from the chair. Only a dumb person wouldn't notice that we weren't talking about my position in the band anymore. "Wow, guys chill out." Sero tried to interfere but I only waved him off. "I'm going to my dorm."
