S3 EP 14 ! "Stay" PT 2

Dalvin looked around a couple times before he finally spotted the camera. "Hello out there to everybody watching at home! It's Mr. Dalvin here and I'm bout to give you this quick lil' rundown of last episode."

"So if you missed it, basically what happened was—Natalia got accepted into some school up in London so she asked Tanai to be her own lil' personal model and to tag along, so Nai agreed! So she told DeVante's big eared ass she was leaving, he got mad, they got into an argument, then they both got mad at me cause I asked them how the hell you spell croissant. But anywho, the night before Nai left, De went to see her and they had a lil sad heart-to-heart. Oh, and K-Ci attacked me for using his stank ass toothbrush to clean my shoes....and that's about it. Onto the episode!"

season 3, episode 14

"Stay" PT 2 !

DeVante arrived home a short time later. He went straight upstairs to his room without speaking to K-Ci, JoJo, or Dalvin. All that was on his mind was Tanai and Tanai only.

First, he thought back on that one night when they were both casted in the Romeo and Juliet play but things didn't go quite as planned.

DeVante broke the silence. "Why don't we just stop playin' and get wit each other, for real this time?"

"FINALLY!" The other three accidentally yelled out excitedly.

"Yea, we can do that." Tanai smiled. "I gotta get home though." She kissed his cheek before getting up. "Bye, DeVante."

Then he reminisced to the time he wasn't feeling his glasses and Tanai made him feel better about them.

DeVante turned around to face her, "What do I look like with glasses? You ever heard of someone being blind and fine? Exactly. It doesn't make sense."

"But I just told you that you look cute. Why you care about what other people think anyway?" Tanai asked. DeVante shrugged.

Tanai smiled and stood in front of DeVante's locker so they were facing each other. "Tell you what. You fine with or without glasses. They don't define you, its not your fault that you can't see. But whether you're wearing glasses or shades, you're still DeVante and Imma like you regardless." She kissed his cheek before walking off, leaving DeVante standing there, smiling at the atmosphere strangely.

Then the moment when they all teamed up to get Walton fired.

The gang all watched from outside the movie theater and laughed at Walton's despair. "And this my friends is why I love revenge!" K-Ci smirked.

"He definitely won't be bothering you anymore, K." JoJo told his brother.

"Or us." DeVante leaned down to peck Tanai's lips and then take his shades off her face.

On the other side of town, Tanai was doing the exact same thing DeVante was doing. She thought back to a few months ago, when they said 'I love you' to each other for the first time on Valentine's Day.

DeVante smiled as she noticed the red rose petals on the ground, leading over to him.

Once she made her way over to him, he passed her the bouquet of red roses then took initiative and say what he wanted to say. "Look Nai, I'm sorry I got you upset with me, but it was all apart of the plan. I wanted you to think that I wasn't gonna do anything special but in actuality, I was. I was gon' take you to that Italian restaurant that you like, then take you back to the house and serenade you by singing off key to love songs that everybody knows," the two shared a quick laugh. "But don't ever think that I don't love you cause I do."

Tanai smiled, "Well I mean I am hungr—wait, what did you say?" She paused. "I said I love you," DeVante repeated.

"I love you too," the two started to lean in but droplets of water started to come down, indicating that it was raining. DeVante took his jacket off and shielded Tanai as he led her to the car.

Then she thought about their dumb little argument over colors and how they made up at prom.

"We look so stupid, De."

"We still look good, though." They shared a quick laugh before simultaneously apologizing about their stupid color argument. "I'm sorry. No, I'm sorry. It was my fault."

K-Ci walked by, "Yeah, y'all belong together alright." There was a quick moment of silence for a second after that.

"Can I have a kiss now?" DeVante asked innocently as Tanai smiled before leaning in and crashing her lips onto his.

And the last thing she thought of was the main part that stuck out to her during their conversation that was half an hour ago.

DeVante wasn't thinking straight, so he said the first random thing he could think of to influence her to stay. "Let's get married."

"What?" Tanai looked at her boyfriend with a shocked expression. "We're way too young for that."

"It doesn't have to be right now. I can get you an engagement ring and you can wear it until we're actually ready," DeVante cleared up.

Tanai laughed, not believing the whole conversation. "You don't wanna marry me, DeVante. You just talkin'."

DeVante stood up and pulled Tanai along with him. "I've had tons of girls in my life but don't none of them compare to you. I wasn't even in real relationships with 'em and I never told them that I loved them. Honestly, I ain't know the true meaning of love until I got with you. I've had a crush on you since seventh grade when we were just friends and I'm blessed that God brought us closer together as somethin' more. You're my heart. Trust me, I wanna marry you one day, Tanai."

"You okay, Nai?" Natalia asked as she glanced at her friend in the passenger seat. It was the next morning and they were on their way to the airport. "You're kinda quiet over there."

"Yeah, I'm fine." Tanai replied with a small smile. Natalia sensed something was off, but she didn't question it any further.

JoJo threw a cooking pot at DeVante's head. "You been blastin' love songs all damn night! I don't wanna hear no more Purple Rains, Lady in My Lives, or Goodbye Loves!"

"I can't help myself. I've been thinkin' about Nai," DeVante confessed. K-Ci and Dalvin came downstairs, yawning and rubbing their eyes.

"You love her, right?" JoJo raised an eyebrow. "Of course," DeVante stated the obvious.

"Then why is your satellite dish ears havin' ass sittin' right here? Go after her!"

"You know what? You got a point. I'm gonna go to the airport and try to convince her to stay again," DeVante stood up. "I need y'all to go get y'all selves situated so y'all can come with me."

"Aye!" Dalvin shouted happily. "We're goin' on an adventure for the sake of love!"

The quartet bursted through the entrance of the airport in a frenzy, running further in. "Y'all see her anywhere?" DeVante looked around.

"No," JoJo shook his head. "Are we too late?" Dalvin asked.

"I see her!" K-Ci told them before cupping his hands around his mouth to shout her name throughout the airport loudly. "Nai! Nai! Tanai!"

"You hear something?" A perplexed Tanai questioned Natalia who shook her head. "No."

Tanai looked around. "It sounded like somebody was callin' me."

"Girl, you trippin'." Natalia smacked her teeth. "Now come on so we can get free plane snacks!" The two continued to walk with their suitcases.

"How the hell did she not hear K-Ci's loud ass?" JoJo wondered.

DeVante wasted no time on running through the many people standing around, and his brothers followed.

Tanai and Natalia had gave their tickets to the woman who collected the tickets and were the last ones to board the plane.

"How the hell we gon' get past her?" Dalvin pointed. "I got an idea. Come with me," K-Ci tapped his shoulder as they started to approached the woman with JoJo and DeVante watching from afar.

"Yo, fake a heart attack," K-Ci whispered to Dalvin as he looked at him like he was crazy. "What? Man, I ain't fakin' no damn heart attack."

"A seizure?"

"I ain't fakin' no damn medical issue, K."

"You always gotta make things so difficult! You lucky I got another idea," K-Ci mugged him before going over to the woman, and leaning against her post with a smirk on his face while Dalvin mimicked his actions.

"Um, may I help y'all two with something?" She raised an eyebrow.

"It's obvious you in a drought," K-Ci started. "So why don't you let me and my partna' here help you fix that?"

"Yeah, let us fix that." Dalvin attempted to sound sexy but instead sounded unsure of himself as K-Ci mentally rolled his eyes.

"I'm listening..."

K-Ci untied the bandana from his right leg and went behind the woman to tie it over her eyes. Dalvin quickly gave DeVante and JoJo the signal to run to the back while she couldn't see.

"Ooh, I like where this is going!" The woman smiled. "What comes next?"

"You stay right here, baby. Don't move." K-Ci told her. Him and Dalvin shared a look before racing to the back where JoJo and DeVante were, only to see that they were being restricted from going on the plane.

"What's goin' on? Why y'all standin' here?" Dalvin asked. "They won't let us on cause we aren't passengers," JoJo said.

"What we do now?" K-Ci inquired.

"Plan B. Y'all ready?" DeVante looked at the three of them as they nodded. "Aight. One...two...three."

Tanai was walking behind Natalia as they tried to find their seats, but she stopped in her tracks when she heard singing coming from behind her.

"Tonight, let's start our love again. Tonight, we can be more than just friends. Don't you know, the sun is goin' down, so baby won't you just stay?"

Turning around, Tanai saw DeVante staring right at her as K-Ci, JoJo, and Dalvin continued to sing. Without hesitation, she walked down to where they were and threw her arms around her boyfriend, pulling him in for a hug, swaying side to side.

"I'm not leaving you, De."

DeVante pulled back from the hug and grinned widely. "You not goin' to London? You stayin' with me?"

Tanai returned the smile while nodding. "I'm stayin' with you."

JoJo and Dalvin started clapping which made some of the passengers start clapping too, although they didn't really know why.

The boys took Tanai's bags as she turned behind her. "Natalia, I—"

"Don't even say anything girl, it's fine!" Natalia sniffed as she wiped her eyes. "You stay in America, I'll be fine out in London by myself. I wish somebody loved me that much to serenade me with a song!" The two friends laughed before hugging each other.

Dalvin tapped K-Ci, who was still singing with his eyes closed. "K, you know you can stop singin' right? Nai's staying in New York."

"Oh," K-Ci opened his eyes. "Sorry for holdin' up y'all flight!" He threw up the deuces before walking off, as well as the others.

"DeVante!" Tanai pulled him back. "Remember what we talked about last night? I want my engagement ring."

DeVante stared at her for a couple seconds before releasing an odd chuckle. ".......Okay."

The woman that K-Ci and Dalvin tried to distract tapped her foot against the floor. "What's taking so long? Done got me all hot and bothered, I'm ready for the fun!"

"Go, just go and don't look back!" They pushed JoJo, DeVante, and Tanai forward before making their way out of the airport.
