season 2, episode 9

"Dalvin Had A Little Dog."

"Alright class, we will be working on a project that has to do with animals." The biology teacher, Ms. Wilson, announced to her class.

Dalvin raised his hand excitedly. "Ooh! Will we be dissecting raccoons?"

JoJo gave his friend a look as Ms. Wilson shook her head. "No, we will be working with puppies."

"That's even better! I'm a dog whisperer." Dalvin whispered to JoJo.

"You must be so proud."

Ms. Wilson continued to go on with her statement, "You will be caring for these puppies for a solid month. They are in your possession, and you shall take care of them as if they were your own. You will also be given partners, this'll be a great way to get closer to your classmates."

She then went on to go over the partners. "Anderson, you're with Burgess, Ames, you're with McKinnon.."

Dalvin turned to look at JoJo. "This should be fun. I'm responsible, caring, and I feel like I'd be a good caretaker. My dog's gonna love me!" He said with confidence.

"That's nice." JoJo continued to barely listen.

"Collins and Spencer, Daniels and James, DeGrate and Rivera.."

Dalvin averted his attention to Rivera, who's first name was Valentinà. Valentinà was a Foreign Exchange Student from Argentina, who barely spoke English. She only knew names, yes and no, & other certain things.

"Aye Val, we gon' be partners!" Dal yelled across the classroom, putting his hand in the air while smiling.

Valentinà returned the smile while giggling. "Yes."

There was now an awkward silence.

"Anyway," JoJo cleared up the silence. "Hopefully I don't get someone who's utterly stupid."

Dalvin gave JoJo a pat on the back. "Lighten up, Jo!"

"Hailey, Warden.." Ms. Wilson said while running her pen down the clipboard.

The two looked over to where Jewel Warden was sitting, playing with scissors.

"Awesome." She smiled deviously while opening and closing the scissors. Dalvin snickered and JoJo shot him a look.

"This assignment is gonna be mad dope!" Dalvin said. Him, his brothers, and Tanai walked down the hallway discussing the project.

"I don't like it. At all." K-Ci grimaced.

"Why not?" Tanai laughed as DeVante threw his arm around her shoulder.

"Guess who my partner is!"

Sabrina magically appeared. "Me! You're my baby daddy for my dog!" She hugged K-Ci as he removed her body away from his. "Never call me that." Sabrina slithered away after that.

"I'm glad Nai is my partner," DeVante looked down at her, "I'll let you do all the work." She shot him a look.

"They said we have to get our dogs by the end of the week." JoJo announced.

"I'm going to get my dog today!" Dalvin happily stated before running to his locker.

Valentinà sat with her legs crossed on the couch. Her and Dalvin's puppy, Dolcé, sat in between her legs as she brushed his fur.

Dalvin sat two separate bowls of food and water on the floor. "Its lunch time, Dolcé!"

Dolcé looked at Dalvin then at the food. Valentinà laughed, "Dolcé. Food." She nodded to the bowls and Dolcé jumped off her lap, and went to go retrieve his food.

DeVante walked by with his dog, "I don't think he likes you." He said to Dalvin before opening the door, letting Tanai in.

"Hey y'all!" She greeted the DeGrate brothers and Valentinà, who all returned the greeting. Tanai put her attention on the dog and bent down to pet it.

"De! Our dog is so cute!"

DeVante arrogantly smirked. "I know. Her name is Twizzler." He then grabbed a leash, "We'll be taking Twizzler for a walk."

Dalvin watched as Valentinà rubbed Dolcé's head as he ate his food. "Yeah, whatever."

"Could you imagine being a dog?" Jewel asked JoJo. "Like, just imagine you're this big, strong dog and a human walks by, and then you just run up to them, and attack them. Biting them very hard, digging your teeth into their flesh-"

"Okay!" JoJo cut her off and then put his attention on their puppy, who sat on the floor minding her business.

"So what do you think we should name her?" JoJo questioned Jewel.

Jewel thought for a minute. "Something dark. Like Lucille, which could be the female term for Lucifer. Or Deadstiny."

JoJo grabbed the dog and slid far away from Jewel. "Okay... what about Wednesday? Like from the Addams Family? That's spooky right?"

Jewel frowned. "That's not the type of appeal I was looking for but it'll do."

Sabrina held her and K-Ci's dog close to her face as she baby talked him. "Who's baby are you? You're my baby! Well, my second baby after your daddy, or should I say our daddy." She giggled then made kissy faces.

"Leave Dalvin alone!" K-Ci yelled at her. "Dalvin?" JoJo looked at his brother.

"Yes, Dalvin. I named the dog Dalvin." K-Ci confirmed.

"I was thinking something like Ceaser, but whatever daddy wants, he gets." Sabrina shrugged as K-Ci mugged her. "Stop calling me that!"

Two weeks later, DeVante went out to the backyard to meet up with Tanai. The two smiled at each other until Tanai put her attention on the dog DeVante had, and realized it was not the same dog from before.

"I don't remember Twizzler looking like this." Sarcasm laced Tanai's tone as she crossed her arms.

DeVante looked at her. "Twizzler? Girl, this is Snicker!"

"Well what the hell happened to Twizzler?" A puzzled Tanai asked.

"She's been replaced." DeVante simply said.

Dalvin came outside and threw the trash out, and since the door was open, Dolcé followed. Dolcé sniffed around and came in contact with a raccoon, who attacked the innocent puppy.

Valentinà raced to the backyard. "Dalvin! The dog!"

Dalvin looked at the dog getting attacked, and decided to not do anything about it since the dog barely acknowledged him. "What about him?"

Valentinà rushed over to Dolcé & kicked the raccoon off the dog, before picking him up and rushing back in the house.

K-Ci rolled his eyes as he watched Sabrina coo at Dalvin- the dog- that is. Sabrina even purchased the puppy a stroller.

"This is gettin' weird, Brina. Its not a baby." He said to her.

"He's my baby! But don't get jealous, You'll always be number one in my heart!" Sabrina smiled before putting her attention back on Dalvin.

K-Ci walked over to the stroller and took Dalvin out, "Gimme this damn dog!" K-Ci ran upstairs to his room with the dog as Sabrina followed.

"Can I hold the dog?" Jewel stared deeply into JoJo's soul.

JoJo held a tighter grip on Wednesday as he stepped back from Jewel. "Why?"

"Because I haven't got a chance to actually engage with her, so can I hold her?" Jewel asked again.

JoJo hesitated before slowly passing the small, innocent puppy over to Jewel. She smiled deviously as she looked down at Wednesday.

JoJo soon took the puppy away from Jewel quickly. "Okay, thats enough."

It was three days before the project was due, and Dolcé had been acting strange.

"Dolcé," Valentina frowned, "You okay?"

Dolcé didn't react to Valentinà's question. He just walked over to Dalvin, who smiled. "Dolcé likes me now. Its a shame that he's dissing you." Valentina pouted.

Meanwhile, DeVante and Tanai weren't exactly seeing eye to eye.

"Seriously, De? This is the third damn dog that you've got and I'd barely got time to spend with the other two!" Tanai stressed as she looked at the new dog that was in front of her.

"Chill, we're gonna keep this one this time." DeVante tried to make amends with her, "I'm lettin' you choose the name this time."

Tanai eyed DeVante before putting her attention on the dog. "His name is Shakespeare."

"Could have went with somethin' like Mozart or somethin' but aight." DeVante mumbled.

Elsewhere, Sabrina was outside playing with Dalvin the dog.

"K, we're out of dog food!" JoJo yelled to his brother.

K-Ci sighed before coming downstairs and grabbing his keys off the table. "I gotta do every damn thing. I can never have a minute to myself!"

He walked outside, got in his car, and revved up the engine. He slowly backed out of the driveway when he heard a screech sound and drove over something.

JoJo and Jewel came outside to see what had happened and they saw Sabrina on the ground crying.

K-Ci got out of the car, "What was that?"

"The dog!" Sabrina cried, "You killed the dog!"

Jewel watched in amazement. "I wonder what it would be like to touch a dog corpse."

Before anyone could react, Wednesday ran outside and ran down the street.

"Aye!" JoJo shouted, "Get yo' ass back here!" He took off down the street chasing her as Sabrina continued to mourn the dog.

It was the day the projects were due, and everyone had to bring their puppies to school & let Ms. Wilson see how everyone turned out with their dogs.

"Okay, now I have to look at Dalvin and Valentinà's dog, Dolcé El Gabbana Rivera-DeGrate! Unique name." She said before making her way to the table they were at, taking notice that Dalvin and Dolcé were wearing matching Versace outfits with matching shades.

"So, how'd you guys like the experience?" Wilson questioned.

"Well, at first Dolcé didn't seem to like me, and I don't know why, cause I'm a dog whisperer." Dalvin started his sentence, but couldn't finish it because Dolcé bit his hand.

Wilson took the time to actually look at the dog. "I think this dog has rabies."

"Rabies?!" Dalvin shouted out. "How did that happen?"

"Because you left the door open and let him get attacked by that raccoon!" Valentinà said in her thick accent, she could no longer hold her tongue. Dalvin was taken aback by this but couldn't say anything because Dolcé started attacking him.

"Okay then." Wilson then moved onto Tanai, and only Tanai, since DeVante was nowhere to be found. "Please come back to me." Tanai sighed as Wilson nodded and moved onto JoJo and Jewel.

"Where's-" Wilson took a minute to scan her clipboard, "Wednesday?"

"She's in a better place now." Jewel said.

"Don't listen to her!" JoJo yelled startling Ms. Wilson. "Imma just be straight up with you, Ms. Wilson. Wednesday ran away a couple days ago."

"I appreciate your honesty." Wilson nodded. "Okay, where's your brother and Sabrina with....Dalvin Hayes-Hailey?"

Dalvin was too busy trying to throw Dolcé across the room to hear his name.

Sabrina and K-Ci walked in the classroom, wearing all black. Sabrina still cried as K-Ci stood close behind her.

"Where's your dog?" She asked the two.

Sabrina held up a shoebox. "Right here!" She opened the lid to show Ms. Wilson, who was disturbed.

There was a window near where Tanai was, and thats where DeVante snuck in through. There was a beautiful white dog with him.

Tanai took notice of his presence, "De, where the hell have you been?" She whispered.

DeVante looked over his shoulder, "I was uh-" He looked over his shoulder again, "Getting our dog."

Tanai looked down at the fourth and final dog. "DeVante! What did I tell you?"

"Shhh!" He quieted her down before plastering a nervous smile on his face, then looking over his shoulder. Ms. Wilson walked up to the two.

"And this is?"

"Dutchess Campbell-DeGrate!" Tanai said the first name that popped into her head.

Wilson nodded. "It seems as though you two did a pretty well job!"

As if on cue, a random man and Mrs. Harris appeared at the door. The random man spotted DeVante and pointed at him, "He stole my dog!"

Dalvin was still getting mauled by a dog, Sabrina was practically rolling on the floor crying at the death of Dalvin the dog, Jewel chased JoJo around with scissors, and DeVante was arguing with a random man over stealing his dog.

"We won't be doing anything like this again." Wilson spoke to herself.
