The couple hadn’t heard their kids return into their room, it was only until they felt tiny bodies colliding with theirs
“group hug!” the two little munchkins squealed in excitement

Jennie couldn’t help but laugh through tears
“God you two are so adorable” she smiled as she look down at their two little kids

The doorbell rang which cause everyone to remember that Sofia and Yuan had to head to school and the couple had somewhere to be.

Jisoo cleared her throat
“I’d go get it, kids you put your shoes on now okay?”

The older girl disappeared into the living room to answer the door, Jennie knew it was going to be Taehyung, she knew that she had to calm herself down tremendously to face the guy she despises, but she wasn’t sure if it was even possible.

The cat eyed girl sighed and began putting Yuan’s shoes on him while Sofia tried to put on her own shoes on. When she was done with Yuan, she noticed her daughter struggling..

“sweetie! You’re putting the wrong shoes on the wrong foot. Let me help you” Jennie knelt down in front of her daughter and grabbed her hands to stop what she have been doing, but the little Sofia pushed her hand away

“No! Mommy let me do it! I can do it!” Sofia’s tongue was peeking out through her teeth as she furrowed her eyebrows in concentration. She removed the shoes off her feet to stare at them, trying to figure out what side went on which foot. But yet again, she did it wrong.

Jennie huffed
“baby! We’re going to be late! Let me help you!”

“No! Mommy let me do it, leave me alone!”

“Kim Sofia Ynna! Don’t raise your voice at me!” the cat eyed girl said. At the sternness of her voice, Sofia’s eyes began to gloss over and soft sniffles were heard

“see, there you go, your shoes are on correctly”

Sofia didn’t say anything. She had her head down and continued sniffling

On the other hand, little Yuan are just so busy with his pacifier while sitting on the sofa watching the whole situation obliviously as always.

“baby?” Jennie tried to get her girl’s attention

No response

“honey..I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to scold you” Jennie tried to reach out for her daughter but the little girl moved away

“kids, honey, let’s go” Jisoo re-entered the room with Taehyung trailing behind her

“baby what’s wrong?” Jisoo asked concern as soon as she saw her daughter crying

The cat eyed girl sighed heavily
“she wanted to put on her shoes and she was doing it wrong so I told her let me help and she got sad because I yelled at her” she explained

“Sofie? Baby?” Taehyung approached the toddler, ignoring Jennie’s presence for a moment. He picked the crying girl up in her arms and the child immediately wrapped her arms around the him.
“it’s okay baby. Your mommy didn’t mean to make you sad. Your mommy loves you a lot. She didn’t want to fall and hurt yourself by putting on your shoes wrong okay sweetie?”

Sofia nodded against Taehyung’s shoulders and looked up at her mother who was glaring at the interaction. “I’m sorry mommy” the little girl whispered out

Jennie sighed as she approached her daughter and placed a kiss on her cheek, ignoring the guy she despises who currently holding her daughter for a moment
“No honey, mommy is sorry. I love you okay?”

“I love you too mommy” the little girl replied as she stopped crying

Jisoo awkwardly cleared her throat as she was now carrying her little son on her arms who was still sucking his pacifier
“Taehyung, maybe you should take our kids to school now” she suggested and her secretary nodded as the guy put down Sofia so she could walk and carried Yuan in exchange

"Mommy and I will pick you up after school okay kids?” both kids nodded and the older girl placed a kiss on each of her their foreheads

“have fun at school babies” Jennie shouted as Taehyung took her children away from her sight

The couple was now seated in Jisoo’s vehicle and was on their way to their appointment with Dr. Im Yoona.

Jennie had been strangely quiet since Taehyung took their kids to school and Jisoo knew why, but she didn’t want to broach the topic. That was until Jennie turned the music down and turned her seat to look at the side profile of her wife.

“don’t even start Jennie” the older girl stated sternly

The cat eyed girl laughed sarcastically.
“start what? Oh the fact that I made my daughter cry and your side kick was able to calm her down? the fact that my daughter probably doesn’t even love me as much as she loves the secretary of yours huh?”

Jisoo sighed tiredly
“Firstly, I am going to ignore your first statement and secondly, Sofia loves you, you know that. She doesn’t love you less than Taehyung. She just sees her more than you, which means that Taehyung would just know her better than you”

“great! That makes me feel so much better Jisoo!” the cat eyed girl responded sarcastically crossing her arms on the process

The sound of Jennie’s phone ringing interrupted their conversation. Jisoo assumed that her wife would ignore it but the cat eyed girl simply cut their conversation and pick up her phone

“now that’s going to start shit” Jisoo scoffed annoyingly

The cat eyed girl just ignore her wife’s rants as she checked the name of the caller
“it’s Yun Suk. I have to get this”

“it’s always Yun Suk calling” Jisoo took her eyes off the road to look at her wife who just rolled her eyes and ignore the older girl

Ever since Jennie’s career took off, she had been super busy. The cat eyed girl began talking to her manager despite her wife’s protests about how much she disliked the guy. Jennie refused to fire him because she believes that her manager knew just what to do to take her into stardom.

“really? That’s great, yeah I’d be free this afternoon for a Skype interview” Jennie stated excitedly into the phone

Jisoo grunted
“oh really? Not like our kids were expecting us to pick them up from school and spend some time together as a family”

The cat eyed girl rolled her eyes again and told her manager that she would call him back
“what is it that you want from me Jisoo? You know that my career is important to me!”

“and what about our kids? what about me? Your family? Aren’t we important too?” Jisoo glanced at her wife sadly
“because what I see is your career that is your priority and we come under it”

The little Sofia and Yuan didn’t exactly know what was going on with their mommy Jennie. Just that at one moment the kids would be home with the cat eyed girl and the next, they would see her on television collecting awards or seeing her on some clothing commercial like Chanel and Gucci.

There were moments where the kids would walk up to the screen and place their hand on it and look at their mommy longingly. Jisoo never told her wife that because; one, she didn’t want to hurt the cat eyed girl even more and two, she didn’t know if she actually cared enough for it to hurt her.

Jennie sighed dejectedly and slouched down on her seat
“great, now you’re making me feel like a bad mother”

“that’s not what I’m saying to you honey...I just think your priorities are in the wrong place. That’s all I’m saying to you baby” Jisoo said calmly trying not to hurt her wife’s feelings. Jennie wasn’t exactly the best mother, but she isn't a bad one either.

“Jennie, we’re talking and you’re picking up your phone again. Are you even listening to me?” the older girl asked disappointedly

The cat eyed girl had her phone to her ear
“I hear you”

“yeah but are you listening to me? Jennie? Damn it Jennie!” Jisoo yelled in frustrastion

Jennie groaned and hung up
“okay you know what? It’s just you and me right now baby, you and me, happy?” she asked smiling sarcastically at her wife

The older girl sighed heavily

How can they fix the mess that they’ve made on this marriage?
