Chapter 61

Y/n's POV

I heard the door get knocked down before I looked up, seeing mom and Gray looking at us. "Y/n!" Mom shouted, rushing over to me. I smiled before feeling myself fall forward as something caught me. "Sweetie? Are you feeling okay?" Mama asked. I looked down, seeing Sapphire supporting me the best she could. Mom rushed over and rolled me onto my back, resting my head on her lap. "Hey... I'm okay, check on Wendy and dad." I said.

"Gray's checking on them right now, so my only concern is you." Mom said. I heard Carla asking for forgiveness from Wendy before hearing Gray complaining about how dad was out cold as well. "What happened here?" Mom asked, looking at me.

"They drained our dragon slayer magic. I think the only reason I'm still up is because my magic is already recovering." I said.

"Guess they need some x-balls." Gray said. I looked over to see what he was talking about before spotting the red pill that Mystogan gave me before I came here. "What are those?" Mom asked. Gray held up the bottle and looked at mom before explaining. "They're magic pills that Gajeel told us to take. Didn't mystogan give you one when you ran into him?" Gray asked, looking at mom. I heard a gasp from mom as she realized what he meant. "That's what it is? I was wondering what he popped into my mouth." Mom said.

"It's a good thing you both took one. Cause you can't use your magic in this world without them." Gray said. Gray fed dad one of the pills before he started coughing before calming down. "Okay, let's give one to Wendy." Gray said. Mom looked at me before I nodded. "I'm okay, just help them." I said. Mom nodded and walked over to help Gray give Wendy on of the x-balls. I say dad getting up before punching the ground before his fist ignited. "Hey are you alright?" Mom asked, looking back at dad.

"Yeah, but we gotta hurry and stop them." Dad said, getting up.

"Who?" Mom asked. Dad let out a roar releasing a bunch of fire into the air before dashing off. "Natsu!" Mom called. I tried to get up, but was sturggling to do so. "Hey! Come back here!" Gray shouted. I managed to flip over and pushed myself onto my knees as I looked at the door. Wendy started coughing as I looked back to make sure that she was okay. "Wendy?" Carla asked.

"What's wrong?" Mom asked, coming back over to us.

"Are you okay?" Gray asked.

"Oh hey, Carla." Wendy said, looking at Carla.

"Are you hurt?" Carla asked.

"No, I'm fine, but... the others are in trouble." Wendy said, weakly. Carla looked at me before bowing to me slightly. "You protected her didn't you?" Carla asked. I didn't answer before pushing myself to my feet. "Time to go, I need to catch up to dad." I said taking a step towards the door. "It's horrible, the royal army is going to destroy Extalia by crashing the giant lacrima directly into it. All of our friends at Fairy Tail are in danger because the king of Edolas is going to use them as a bomb." Wendy cried. Gray was confused about what Extalia was before mom started explaining what she read in the history book she bought that talked about the history of Edolas. "And you think that our guildmates are stuck on one of those floating islands?" Gray asked.

"Yes, they're on one very close to Extalia. Both Extalia and the lacrima that holds our friends are floating above the royal capital which is where we are now." Carla said. Mom came over and stopped me from walking any closer to the door since my magic was still recovering. "The royal army is planning to hit that floating island with a bunch of dragon slayer magic. They want to speed it up so it'll crash directly into Extalia." Wendy explained.

"What'll happen then?" Gray asked.

"They said that when the powers collide it'll cause a gigantic explosion in the sky and the magic from both would fuse together then magic power will rain down on the kingdom forever." I said.

"If that happens then all of our guildmates will..." Mom started.

"Be lost forever." Gray finished. I nodded before I heard someone running towards us. I looked at the door hearing their footsteps get clkoser before jumping over and kicking the person's legs. The person slid across the ground before I realized that it was dad. I gasped as I realized it was dad before he began screaming about how there were two Erza's fighting and how terrifying it was. Dad finally looks at Gray before pointing at him. "Are you my Gray or the weird Gray?" Dad asked.

"I don't know what you're talking about but if you don't cool it you're gonna get a lefthook to the jaw, pyro." Gray said.

"That answers that. It's pretty obvious it's Earthland Gray." Mom agreed. Wendy came over to me before looking me up and down. "Oh Y/n, why'd you protect us? You're all hurt now." Wendy said, using a little of her magic on me.

"Sorry, I could've taken the guy out, but I didn't want either of you getting hurt more." I said. Wendy smiled before kissing my cheek. "Thank you for protecting me, my princess." Wendy said. I blushed not used to being called any kind of nickname. Mom, dad and Gray were talking about what was going on. "Huh? You're the real Gray? Why didn't you say so?" Wendy asked, looking back at him. Gray looked at her stunned to hear that she didn't think he was our Gray either. "What? You mean you just now noticed?" Carla asked. Wendy nodded. "I get it you didn't recognize me cause it's so dark down here, right? It's not cause I'm some lameo who's practically invisible to you." Gray said.

"Would you quit sulking?" Mom asked.

"I knew it was you." I said.

"What a second, did you just ocme down and save us a minute ago? Oh and you're okay too,  Lucy" Dad asked.

"I guess all but one of you dragon slayers are oblivious, huh?" Mom asked.

"I'm sorry I offended you Gray! I didn't mean too, I promise! Thank you so much  for helping us." Wendy said.

"Eh, don't mention it." Gray answered. I chuckled before I could see the disappointment on Carla's face. "I didn't forget about you Carla, thanks for coming to my rescue again. You're the greatest." Wendy said, walking over and hugging Carla. Wendy was clearly happy to see Carla again, but I could see Carla was still upset with herself. "Dude you're shirtless in front of the kids. Not cool." Dad said.

"I am? When did that happen?" Gray asked.

"You've been that way from the start Gray." Mom said. I giggled before walking over to everyone. "Alright! Are you guys ready? Let's go find the king and stop him from crashing that lacrima." Dad said.

"Yeah!" We all cheered before starting to run down the hall.

"Wait! We can't go that way it's where the two monsters are fighting! This way!" Dad said, pointing in a different direction.

"We can't just leave Erza to fend for herself." Mom said. Gray brought up the fact that it was two big sis' fighting before asking if she wanted to join that fight. "You know, you make a good point." Mom said. Mom, Gray and dad took off down the hall dad pointed down while Wendy and I watched for a moment. "Carla, Y/n, I think the four of us should head to Extalia." Wendy said.

"Sounds good to me." I said.

"That's foolish." Carla said.

"We need to warn them about the royal army's plan and help them escape." Wendy said.

"I don't understand, I thought we were going to stop the attack." Carla said.

"There's no way we can just let the king do whatever he wants. I know Natsu and the others will sotp him, but what if the king and hgis royal army have other weapons we don't know about? This is the only chance we have to warn them. They have the right to know that their citizens are in danger." Wendy said.

"No! I'm not going back I couldn't care less about what happens to those horrible creatures." Carla said. Wendy knelt down in front of Carla and looked at her. "You know this has nothing to do with being human or exceed. If there's something we can do as fellow living beings then we should do it." Wendy said.

"I agree with Wendy. Being human or exceed shouldn't matter. Besides if we let them die because of the king's attacks, wouldn't that just make us as bad as the ones we defeat?" I asked. Carla looked at me before looking at Wendy. "I promise I'll always be right by your side. No need to be afraid, kay?" Wendy asked, smiling at Carla.

"Fine I'll go." Carla said. I smiled and pulled Sapphire back out from hiding in the back of my clothes. "Let's get flying." I said. Sapphire sighed before her wings appeared. Carla looked at her stunned. "How'd you get your wings back?" Carla asked.

"Who said I ever lost them?" Sapphire asked. Carla just stared at her before quietly mumbling something. "Alright let's go." Wendy said.
