Y/n's POV

When we got back, gramps ended up having to go to the magic council for the last bit of discussion over the fight with Phantom Lord. The next day we headed to the guild because auntie Mira had a big announcement for everyone. "Alright everyone, starting today, we're taking on job requests again!" Auntie Mira announced. I was happy about finally being able to work again. Mama was talking with auntie Mira while I was looking through the jobs that were up. "Hey Y/n, do you want to go on a request together?" Dacoda asked, walking up to me. 

"Hi Dacoda. Honestly, I'm not sure yet. I've been thinking about doing a few jobs on my own, but mama says having more people on a job makes it fun." I said. After looking over the jobs, I found one that seemed easy enough for me. "Take out a bunch of monsters. Oh, and it's in a town nearby." I said. I took the job and headed over to Mira. As I walked over to her, I saw a barrel fly towards me from the corner of my eye. I turned to block the barrel with my arms, but the impact never came. I moved my arms to see a wall of ice in front of me. "Why don't you tell everyone else how you feel." Big sis demanded. The wall of ice disappeared, revealing Big sis and Laxus who seemed to argue with each other. "No problem. This guild is full of losers and weaklings." Laxus said. He looked at Jet and Droy, who were still recovering and didn't even know their names. After that he turned to mama. "You're the worst of them all. You caused this whole situation." Laxus said. I clenched my fist and walked over to him. "Laxus! Shut up, master said that no one was to blame." Auntie Mira shouted. He looked at me with a smirk. "What do you want?" He asked. 

"Y/n! Don't!" Mama yelled. I looked at her before hearing a laugh come from Laxus. "That's right kid, listen to your mommy." Laxus mocked. My fist tighten before I quickly uppercut him. Since I caught him off guard, I kicked him in the chest, sending him through the tables we had set up. "I make my own choices. My mom was not the cause of this. You think we're weak? Well, how about I prove you wrong?" I said. He got up from the ground and used his lightning to get close to me. "Well, well, well, it's been a while since I got punched like that." Laxus said. He pulled his arm back, making a fist before launching it towards me. Papa rushed over and tried to punch Laxus, but he used his lightning to avoid his attack. "Fight me like a man, Laxus!" Papa yelled. 

"How are you going to fight me if you can't even touch me?" Laxus smugly asked. I dashed over to him and hit him in the face again. "It seems that I can touch you just fine." I said.

"You little brat. You'll regret that." Laxus said. He looked at me and the rest of the guild. "Afraid of the little girl kicking your butt?" I asked. He scoffed before turning away from me. "I've got better things to do then watse my time on you." Laxus said before using his lightning to disappear again. Once he was gone I tried to relax my hand, but I couldn't unclech my fist. "Y/n!" Sapphire yelled. She flew over and landed on my head. "Are you okay?" She asked. I gently nodded so she wouldn't fall off. After a few moments my hand finally relaxed letting me unclench my fist. "Y/n are you okay?" Mama asked coming over to me. I nodded hiding my hand behind my back. "I've never seen Laxus get punched, much less punched twice and kicked once." Someone said. After a few minutes everyone checked on me before big sis came over. "Y/n, since that's over how about we all go on a job and get our minds off of that." Big sis offered. 

"That sounds nice, but I think I'm going to go on my own job." I said. 

"Are you sure?" She asked. I nodded and took the request up to auntie Mira. "Found a good job for yourself?" Auntie Mira asked. I nodded before Dacoda came over to us. "Do you mind if I join you?" He asked. I sighed and nodded. "Alright you two are set. Have fun!" Mira said as we headed out. We made our way to the town and met with the person who put in the request. It took a couple days, but we eventually took care of all the monsters. On the way back Dacoda kept falling behind so I grabbed his hand and slowed down enough to stay next to him. "Sorry I'm slowing you down." Dacoda said. I shook my head. "It's okay, I think sometimes I move a little fast in a sense." I said. 

"I know that's true." Sapphire said calling me out. I looked at her before letting out a sigh. "I think that's a good thing sometimes, but every now and then you should slow down to see everything that's bueatiful in the world." Dacoda said. 

"Maybe I should take a day or two off." I said.

"Yeah, I think that's best for you." Dacoda said. We made it back to the guild and I found out that mama and her group went out on another job, so I was going to be alone with Sapphire for a little bit. "So Y/n are you looking for another job to go on?" Auntie Mira asked. 

"No, Dacoda gave me some advice and I think it's best if I take it." I said.

"Oh, was it love advice?" She asked. 

"No, he suggested that I take a few days off to recover from moving around so fast. Plus with everything that happened with mama I still need to process that. Besides I'm not ready to date or anything like that right now." I said.

"Okay." Mira said with a giggle.
