Y/n's POV

After big sis and I finished eating our slices of cake they started talking about who the strongest was in the guild, I just listened as I sat there with my head on big sis' side. I started to feel sleepy, I looked around to see other people were falling on the ground before falling asleep. "Why am I so tired now?" I asked big sis. She just patted me on the head before she laid her head on the table, I looked around seeing someone in a mask. "You're new around here, what's your name?" The person asked. I tried to sit up only to sort of fall over again, I heard a laugh come from the man as he helped me stand up. "I-I'm *yawn* Y-Y/n." I said rubbing my right eye. Master slowly walked over to us, he stood next to me as I kept yawning and rubbing my eyes. "Mystogan, would you kindly lift the spell?" Master asked. He walked over to the job board taking a job, my head started to drop more and more as the spell started taking over more. "I'm taking this job, Y/n take care I'll see you again." Mystogan said. I nodded leaning against the bench, master asked him to lift the spell. I felt a tap on my head as the sleepiness went away, I looked up to see Mystogan walking out of the guild counting down. "Bye Mystogan!" I said waving to him from the guild door as he left.

He just left not waving or saying goodbye to me, everyone started waking up talking about what just happened. "Y/n?" Big sis asked looking around for me. I looked at her for a second before turning back to where Mystogan walked, I felt someone put their hand on my shoulder. "It's rare that he ever comes around, and from the looks of it he won't let that spell's effect effect you anymore." Master said. I nodded putting my hand where he had tapped, I heard someone else come over to us. "Mystogan came by, and I'm guessing he met Y/n." Big sis said. I nodded still looking at where he went, I felt someone pick me up taking me over to the bar. "Was Mystogan nice?" Big sis asked as she sat me down. I nodded, before seeing daddy still asleep on the floor. I started giggling about how daddy was asleep on the floor, big sis looked at what I was giggling at before joining in shortly after seeing daddy. "Now that's pretty funny, but the question is why does he always do that?" Big sis asked. 

"Maybe you should respect his privacy." Someone said. Big sis looked up at the second floor, I looked up as well to see a man sitting in a chair up there. "Laxus fight me!" Daddy yelled. Laxus just laughed. "Why don't you come up here and fight me." Laxus said. Daddy ran to the stairs before master hit him back, I giggled again knowing daddy was funny sometimes. "Something funny there pipsqueak?" Laxus asked me. I stopped laughing as soon as he said something, he walked down the stairs and stared at me. "So Gramps let another weakling into the guild." He said looking at me. I started getting scared and used the water around me to turn invisible to hide somewhere else, as soon as I knew my spell worked I moved away from the bar heading to mommy. "Where'd you go twerp?" Laxus asked. I felt something grab my head before throwing me, my spell broke as I hit a wall. "Laxus! Don't hurt her!" Daddy yelled as I hit the floor. Mommy ran over helping me up, I coughed a bit as I sat up. "Laxus! That's enough! Leave!" Master said. 

"Fine, but just know that the strongest person here isn't Erza or Mystogan. It's me and don't forget that." Laxus said before disappearing in a lightning bolt. Daddy ran over checking me for any injuries, he sighed when he saw I wasn't hurt too bad. "He's lucky I didn't hit him." Daddy said. I put my hand on his before he gripped my hand, big sis came over and picked me up. "Lucy would you come with me please." Big sis said. Mommy nodded following big sis to a different room, she set me down on a bed that they had in there. "Sweetie please take off your shirt." Mommy said. I nodded and slowly removed my shirt, I heard mommy gasp as I took off my shirt. "Oh sweetie are you sure you're okay?" Mommy asked. I nodded slowly, there was a knock on the door mommy quickly wrapped the blanket around me before opening the door. "I'm sorry to intrude, but I would like to check on Y/n as well." Master said. 

"Yes master, please come in and check the wound." Mommy said. He walked over to look at my back, I felt a hand on my back as some of the pain went away. "I'm sorry child, I don't know where I went wrong with him." Master said. I shook my head, turning with the blanket to see the master. "You didn't go wrong anywhere, he's just mean because he can be and because he just doesn't see us as powerful. I know I'm not powerful, but I want to be so I can protect my friends and family." I said. He nodded, turning me back around his hand touched my back again taking the rest of the pain away. "Again I'm sorry child, your wound should be gone." Master said. I smiled turning back to face him again. "Thank you, Laxus is nice though." I said. 

"How do you know little sis?" Big sis asked. 

"When I hit the wall I felt a hand catching me making sure I didn't hit it too hard. I knew it was Laxus' hand because even though he grabbed me I could feel that he didn't want to hurt me." I explained. Master, big sis and mommy looked at me shocked that I said that. "How do you?" Master started. Mommy cut him off by standing in front of him, big sis handed me my shirt she changed to a different suit of armor big enough to cover me. I slipped my shirt back on, before facing the master again. "There's something about how he threw me and makes me think he just wants to not be alone in power." I said. Master nodded before leaving, I looked at my arm taking the bandage off to see my arm had healed. "Okay, it's been a long day how about we head home sweetie?" Mommy asked. I nodded getting up so we could leave, big sis gave me a kiss on the forehead before walking us to the door. "Good night little sis don't cause any trouble at home." Big sis said. I nodded and waved to her as we left, when we got home daddy was doing sit-ups in the bedroom. "What're you two doing here?" Mommy asked. I was starting to yawn grabbing onto mommy's hand to keep myself up. "Would you two kindly leave or be quiet enough that Y/n could get some sleep?" Mommy asked.

"We'll be quiet, just we want to talk with you a little." Daddy said. I grabbed my pajamas heading to the bathroom to change, when I came back out I crawled into bed grabbing my dragon plushie to help me fall asleep. "Good night sweetie, sweet dreams." Mommy said kissing my forehead.

Lucy's POV

Once Y/n was tucked in and asleep I sat at the table to see what Natsu wanted to talk about. "Okay now that she's asleep we can talk, so what's so important that you have to train here?" I asked. Natsu pulled out a job request that had a giant s stamp on it in red, I looked over it realizing that it was an S-class quest. "Natsu, why do you have this?" I asked.

"Well I think we're ready to take on an S-class quest." Natsu said. I looked at him shocked before letting out a sigh, I looked at the reward seeing that it could pay my rent for a while but I looked at Y/n worried. "I'm sorry, but I don't think I could join you. Y/n is my top priority that means taking on quests that she can handle, plus it might be too dangerous." I said. 

"But this is the perfect way for her to get stronger, how do you think me and Happy got stronger?" Natsu said. I sighed realizing that it's true, learning magic takes practice which means taking on harder jobs. "Fine, but I can't be concerned about you two at all. You'll just have to learn to defend yourselves, plus taking Y/n on a quest like this might be fun." I said. Natsu started cheering along with Happy, I smacked both of them pointing to a stirring Y/n reminding them to be quiet. "I know you're excited, but she needs to sleep we'll head out tomorrow morning." I said. Natsu nodded as he left my house with Happy, once they left I packed some clothes for both me and Y/n before getting ready for bed crawling next to Y/n falling asleep hugging her.
