The whole crew go on a camping trip. Toni and Cheryl have been friends for a while but aren't together. Part 2.

Toni's POV

When Cheryl and I got to the spot we were meeting, everybody else was there. Kevin, Fangs, Sweet Pea, Veronica, Archie, Jughead and Betty were all crowded around a car. Jughead had his arm around Betty and Archie had his around Veronica. Just in the short time of driving closer to them, I could see Betty stealing a look or two at Veronica. They all soon became aware of us coming over. All of them smiled and looked relieved.

"Finally! You guys have the last tent, right?" Veronica shouted, just as Cheryl closed the car door. I looked at Cheryl who nodded.

"Yeah. It's in the back of my car. I'll grab it. Toni, want to grab your bag?" She asked. I followed Cheryl to the back of the car. I looked at Cheryl, as we slowly pulled the items out.

"Did you by any chance see Veronica and Betty looking at each other, you know longingly?" She said.

"Totally. I wasn't sure if Kevin was right, but he sure seems like it."I answered.

"He wasn't kidding when he said his gaydar was of high quality." We both laughed at Cheryl saying it, before being inutrupted by a voice.

"How long does it take to get a tent?" Kevin said particular loud, ensuring we could hear him. I watched as Cheryl rolled her eyes.

"Literally speak of the devil." I joked.

"I know right?" Cheryl giggled, which soon made me do the same. Cheryl locked her car and we both headed back over to the others.

Cheryl's POV

Toni and I were putting up a tent, with the help of Betty. The boys were doing a tent. We had brought three tents, two for the boys and one for the girls. All four of us turned to face the boys and giggled as we watched them stare at it, not knowing where to start. Jughead seemed to be the only one with a bit of an idea.

Our tent was going great. Betty and Veronica knew exactly what they were doing. Toni and I just followed along.

~a bit later~

Betty and Veronica had cooked us some food on the camping equipment we had. It was decent. I didn't mind it. It was still bright outside, but we knew it would get dark shortly and get cold quickly.

"So, who's up for a swim?" Veronica questioned. Everybody looked around and I just turned to face Toni and smiled. She did the same and nodded slightly.

"I'm up for it." I put my plate to one side and so did everyone else. We all headed to the tents to change.

After changing I walked out, my towel in hand and saw the boys were all done. We were waiting on Veronica, Betty and Toni. I watched as TT skipped out of the tent.

"Cool swimsuit, Bombshell." Our eyes met. I felt s grin grow on my lips.

"Same goes, Topaz." Toni playfully pushed me and I did the same. Veronica and Betty finally made their way out. We all put our towels on the back of my car, so they would stay clean.

"Last one to the water has to clean up the plates." Archie joked. With that, we all started sprinting to the lake. The last was Sweet Pea.

"That's not fair." He moaned.

"Too bad, Pea." Toni laughed.

"Shut up, tiny!" He argued. Toni splashed the water at him. It turned in to a whole war. I stayed near the shallow area of the water. I was too scared to go in very deep. I went no higher than my hips. I saw Toni coming in my direction. I predicted her move before she could finish it and splashed her.

"Hey!" She laughed before getting me back. I put on a small smile.

~later in the night~

It was almost pitch black. We were all crowded around a safe fire Jughead had made. We had been playing truth or dare for a while. Various truths and dares had been completed. I had learned several new things about people in the group.

"Okay...Cheryl..." I looked up at Betty.

"Yes, cousin Betty?"

"Truth or dare?" She asked.

"Truth." I responded quickly.

"Okay. Have you ever had feelings, or maybe have feelings for somebody in this group?" I froze, like a statue. I didn't know what to say. "You have to answer."

"Okay. Fine. I do have feelings for somebody here."  I left it at that. Everybody knew I was into girls, but I hadn't specifically said I was a lesbian. I don't know why. I guess it made this situation a bit better for me. They all looked at each other and back at me.

Toni's POV

I listened to Cheryl answer her truth. I held it in, but I was feeling rather happy and excited to learn thus information. I couldn't help but wish it was me. One could dream...

If only she liked me. I would be able to tell her that I like her too. That's all just a wish, nothing more. That would be my perfect reality.

"Oh my god! Who is it?" Betty asked.

"Nope. You had your question. My turn." Cheryl responded.
