The Party's End

"W-what? Y-you mean like a date?" You stuttered trying to stay calm but you were failing. Bruce chuckled at your reaction.

"Yes a date if that's all right with you."

"But.....why?"

"Why? To get to know you better. Isn't that what a date is for?"

"No I mean why would you want to ask Me?"

"Oh well because your interesting and I want to get to know you more. I won't expect an answer right away." Bruce pulled a peace of paper and pen out of his inner pocket of his tux and wrote something down.

"Call me when you've decided." He gave a warm smile as you slowly took the paper.

"Well we better get back to the party. Your friends might be worrying about you." He reached for the door handle and when he opened it Sarah and Amber came stumbling in and falling to the floor with someone else falling right behind them.

"Alfred? What are you doing?" Bruce asked raising an eye brow. The butler quickly stood back up and patted down his tux.

"I'm sorry sir, I was cleaning near by when I saw these girls listening to the door and was in the middle of telling them they should stop eavesdropping when it suddenly opened. I tripped when they fell.

"Traitor!" Sarah and Amber yelled from the floor.

"Im sure I have no idea what your talking about." Alfred cleared his throat.

"Mhm. Well then how about we all return to the party? It's almost over and I wouldn't want you to miss anymore fun." Bruce said all this with a big smile like he had won the lottery. Your reaction had put Bruce in a good mood. He was nervous about your answer but your stutter had told him you were also nervous and surprised. He had a chance and that's all he needed to be in a good mood. He turned to you.

"You coming?"

"Oh um yes." You had been staring at the peace of paper still in shock. You quickly walked to the door and past Bruce. The girls starred at you the whole time and you could practically feel the questions being thrown at you mentally. You would have to tell them later or they would kill you. You felt someone grab your hand, You turned to see Bruce.

"Sadly I have to get going and end the evening. I hope to hear from you soon." Bruce then bowed and kissed your hand. You were stunned. You could feel the tomatoes glowing from your cheeks.

"A-Alright." You said in a whisper. He smiled and walked away. You stood there starring at his back until he vanished through the crowed. You slowly looked down at your hand and your mind slowly processed everything.

The crackle of the sound system coming on filled the room and all the guests quieted down. You looked up to see Bruce standing at the top of the staircase. He smiled at his visitors and pulled the microphone close.

"Hello everyone! I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all again for joining me tonight in the celebration of... well all of you! Because of you the world has become a little bit brighter and a lot more entertaining. All of you are vary talented! From creating amazing trick video and let's plays to fan fiction and... small blogs who write about Batman." Bruce chuckled at this and gave a wink your way. Which made you blush.

"You are all amazing and your making a difference. So thank you! All of you! For being.... you." Cheers roared through the halls of the Wayne Manner. Bruce bowed and put the mic back as he walked away. Bruce was defiantly different that you expected.... should you agree to his invitation? You were jerked from your thoughts when you were pulled around and was face to face with Amber and Sarah.

"Alright tell us what happened?" Amber ordered.

"What you couldn't hear through the door?" You joked.

"It was to thick." Amber rolled her eyes.

"Stop and just tell us! I can't stand not knowing! Tell ussss!" Sarah shook you once again.

"Sarah!"

"Sorry. Got excited." She let go.

"So?" Amber nudged you. You sighed and started to fiddle with your fingers.

"He asked me to dinner here on Friday." You said your eyes closed.

"WHAT?!"
