Home Again Home Again

You and Bruce step off his jet and start across the air field to a door that opens to the air port. Your eyes were cast down watching the ground as you past over. A hand grasped yours making you stop. You look up to make eye contact with a worried Bruce.

"Hey. You've been quiet the whole flight. What's wrong."

"Oh it's nothing. Everything's fine." You tried to give him a genuine smile but by the way he looked at you you must of failed. Bruce opened the door and you walked inside and was greeted with loud chatter and people talking over the intercom about flights.
Bruce suddenly pulled you back just before a group of people ran past you. Almost knocking into you.

"You idiot! I told you we needed to be on flight 5!" A large man in a purple shirt, warring glances fussed at a black haired man.

"Well how was I suppose to know! 11 and five sound vary similar!" The black haired man shot back. His shirt had a vary interesting M on it that changed color in the light.

"In what universe?" Another man warring a red shirt and hair that seemed like it was reseeding. Three women were fallowing behind laughing at the men. You were giggling to yourself as well.

Bruce grabbed your hand and looked down at you.

"Hold tight. It's really busy in here."

"I'm not a child Bruce." You said with a blush forming.

"I am vary aware of that." He winked and started to walk down the hall. Bruce broke the river of people as they walked around you two. You looked up at the back of his head and couldn't help but smile. But then you remembered your suspicions. How many people in your life had secrets. A dear friend is actually a monster wearing fake skin and a man you felt something for may be the Batman. The man who's saved you a couple of times and you also confided in. You felt like nothing was real. Your eyes moved to the hand you were holding.

"This is real." You whispered. You focused on the heat coming from his hand. You didn't realize you were squeezing it.

"Y/n?" Your head shot up to meet Bruce's piercing blue ones. You were both standing next to the limo now.

"Oh! Sorry." You quickly let go but in a flash Bruce was holding it again.

"What's wrong? Don't tell me nothing. You've been like this since you talked to Monty. He didn't hurt you did he?"

"What? No. It's just.... I'm really tired. A lot has happened and I still have a headache."

"Maybe we should go by the hospital."

"I think I just need to go home." You gave the best reassuring smile you could and after a second he returned it.

"Vary well."

"Let me get the door for you." Said Alfred who was now standing next to you.

"Oh Alfred! When did you get back? You weren't on the jet."

"I flew on the morning flight ma'am. Master Bruce's jet... doesn't suit me." He opened the door and you crawled in with Bruce behind you. You rubbed your arms trying to warm them up. It had been cold when you stepped off the jet and you didn't have a jacket. With all the being swift of to Italy by a flying limo stuff. You felt something move behind you and before you realized it Bruce had wrapped his arm around you pulling you into his big coat.

"Body heat is the best heat." He joked. You knew by how your face felt it was red. You couldn't look at him but also, to your surprise, you didn't move away. It felt nice.

"T-thank you."

"Your welcome." He said clearing his throat.
