Education: Aquariums

I myself have been to a few Aquariums before going vegan as I'm sure many of you have been. There is something so fascinating about being around these creatures.

Not many of us stop and question anything we just give them our money and we get to look at them, swim with them, pet them, kiss them. And just like the dairy/meat/egg industry we listen to their lies.

Black fish is an amazing documentary showing the outcome of capturing these beautiful wild animals and exploiting them for human entertainment and money.

Like black fish said Orcas live to the same or longer age as humans but sea world and other marine places have told us they only live till 20-25. This is a clear indication these animals are not happy and healthy. What type of life is a life of confinement? These animals are in tiny tiny tanks compared to the size of the ocean, how would you like it if you were stuck in a bath tub for most of your life? This is why vegans do not support Aquariums, we do not support the exploitation of animals for any reason.

Something many people don't realize is that by supporting marine species confinement you are supporting the whale/dolphin slaughter.

In Taiji, Japan Annually approximately 23,000 dolphins are killed. These dolphins are driven into a bay by fishermen using long poles creating noise in the water to scare them. When the Dolphins reach the bay the first people there are marine parks who are wanting to buy dolphins for their Aquariums and shows etc. the fishermen make a lot more money by selling these dolphins then for their meat but the fishermen enjoy killing the dolphins. THE COVE is a great documentary exposing the slaughter of dolphins.
