Chapter Fifteen

Hi guys! If you don't already know, I've been banned from using my laptop for the next few days. I still have my phone though, so I will continue to update. I love writing and publishing a chapter for you all to read is really rewarding. I hope that you enjoy this chapter. I promise only one more barrier to deal with. Oh, little side note, the evil manifestations of the boys will be called RH, R, and NW.

Jason's POV

I frown as the next area we're in is also familiar. It's none other than Wayne Manor. "Wayne Manor?" Dick says in confusion, "Oh. Great. Just great."

Tim nods his head, "If this barrier is Wayne Manor, there is no doubt about it. We're going to have to fight ourselves."

"Cool. I've always wanted to fight myself," I say, "Are we going to come up with a plan or are we just going to fight?"

"You're weird, Jason. I think we should just fight. We know our own weaknesses. We know Wayne Manor. We just have to be careful. We can't just think we'll win easily," Dick says. I nod my head. "Do you think that the exit is the main doors? It makes sense, right," Tim says.

Dick nods, "Why don't you go check it out, Tim. Don't engage if you run into the other versions of us." Tim nods his head and heads in the direction of the main doors. I double check that my guns are loaded with enough ammo. Dick looks at me, "Maybe we should clean up a bit. The first aid kit is in the kitchen. I'm going to go get it." I nod my head as Dick heads towards the kitchen. Tim comes back a few seconds later. He looks at me with confusion, "Where's Dick?"

"Went to go get the first aid kit. We're kind of beaten up," I reply, "Is the front doors the exit?"

Tim nods, "Yeah. The other versions of ourselves are already guarding the door. I don't think they know we're here, yet, though. It would be best if we try to stay quiet. Especially, if we're trying to clean up some of our wounds before fighting again."

"Don't worry. We're not little kids. We don't need to be told to speak in our indoor voices," I say with a roll of my eyes.

"We argue so much, I had to make sure," Tim says shrugging. Dick walks back into the room and announces loudly, "I got the first aid kit." I hit my face and Tim's eyes widen. "Someone should've told loud mouth over here to shut it. C'mon we got to move."

"Wait, why? Tim did you check to see-," Dick says getting cut off. Tim covers Dick's mouth in order to stop him from talking so loudly. I look around before making my way to the study. Tim follows behind me. Dick mutters underneath Tim's hand. He pushes his hand away, "What the hell? What's going on?" Tim places his hand over Dick's mouth again. "Shut up for a few minutes and I'll explain when we get to the study," I say moving a bit faster. Dick gives me a look, but stops speaking. We quickly make our way to the study. I look around before closing the door behind us. I turn around and see Tim with his hand still on Dick's mouth. Dick murmurs, "You can take your hand off of my mouth now. I'm not going to scream or anything like that."

Tim's eyes widen before he quickly moves his hand, "Sorry."

"Tim checked the front doors and found none other, than our evil doppelgangers. They were oblivious to the fact that we are here. You wanted us to clean some of our wounds before fighting. That wouldn't be happening if the evil versions of us realize we're here and attack us. We had to be quiet." Dick nods his head. He puts down the first aid kit and opens it. "Let's finish patching ourselves up quickly. Than we can go kick some ass," Dick says. After a few minutes we're all bandaged and ready to fight ourselves. "Any idea where they may be?" Dick ask.

"They could be guarding the door. I'm not sure if they heard us talking, so they may not even have realized we are here. There is a chance they have, considering Dick being a tad bit loud," Tim says.

Dick rolls his eyes, "I wasn't that loud." Tim and I both act as if we didn't hear him. "So mean. I'm your older brother...you should be nicer to me! This barrier is protected by us, huh. I wonder why?"

"It's because Bruce is scared to open his heart again and have a family," I state, "He's afraid that if he does let more people into his heart it will only cause him pain. He loved his parents and they died. He thinks that the same may happen to us." Both Dick and Tim look at me in shock. "What? I'm not an idiot. I can make observations..." I say.

"It's not that. It's just, you said something that's pretty deep. Kind of emotional..." Dick says, "I never knew that was possible with you."

I scoff, "Don't get to ahead of yourself. I just chose the one thing that sounded the sappiest in my head and assumed that it was the reason."

"And there's the Jason we all know," Tim says dryly.

"Is there something wrong with the way I am, replacement?" I ask with a glare.

"Definitely. I'd rather not get into it now, though. We have more important matters to take care of," Tim says before walking out of the study. Dick follows behind him. I walk out of the study last, "What do you mean, definitely? This conversation isn't over. I'll have you know I am a very pleasant person."

"Sure. Whatever helps you sleep at night..." Tim replies. I glare at him. Dick gives us both pointed looks, "Argue later. Let's take care of the other versions of ourselves."

"Fine." We both say. All three of us make our way to the front door. When we arrive the other versions of ourselves prepare to fight. We do the same. I look at the other version of myself and smirk. This was going to be fun. We charge at one another at the same time. I swipe at RH's shoulder, but he dodges and proceeds to aim a kick at my legs. I step back and fire my gun at his chest. He dodges the bullet and fires back at me. I quickly rush out of the way. We continue to fight. Neither of us landing a hit on the other. I take a step back and pant. This fight was taking a lot out of me. RH is a pretty good opponent. I throw a knife at RH which he dodges. He starts to shoot me and I move, so I don't get hit. I wince when I feel a bullet lodge itself in my arm. I gently touch my arm and grimace when blood gets on my hand. "Jason!? Are you alright?" Dick yells as he does a backflip.

"I'm fine!" I yell out. I hurry to get some cover. Bullets whiz by my ear as I round the corner. I lean against the wall and peak out. RH stands there with his gun pointed at me. "Great...." I mutter, "Guess it's back to the grave for me."

"When have you ever gave up this easily?" Tim calls out as he sweeps RH's feet from underneath him using his bow staff. I move from the wall and stare at Tim. "How about we switch dance partners? I'll take care of him. You take care of R."

I smirk, "Sure. I've always wanted to see what you look like with a bullet through your head." I rush towards R with a murderous glint in my eye. I fire my gun at him and take out my dagger. I continue to fire as I rush towards him. When I get closer I swipe at him with my dagger. "Don't be bloodthirsty, Jay!!!" Dick exclaims in a sing-song voice.

"Focus on your own fight. Less on mine," I say as I dodge R's bow staff. I fake a punch and embed my dagger in his chest. I take a few steps back and fire at his chest a few times for good measure. R falls to the floor. I glance at his body and smirk, "He looks just like I've always imagined he would. I've achieved all I could ever want. My goal in life is complete." I look to my left and see Dick. He has his escrima sticks around NW's neck. He's gritting his teeth as he struggles to hold onto him. After a few seconds, NW slumps to the floor. Dick lets his arms fall to his sides and he sighs. I look to my right and see Tim finishing of RH. He elbows him in the face and swings his bowstaff at his chest. RH falls to the floor. Even though he's down, Tim hits his head, hard, with his bow staff. "Wow. You really went all out replacement," I say.

"Turns out I have a lot of pent up anger when it comes to you. Don't act like you didn't do the same thing to evil me," Tim replies. He winces a bit as he walks and I can see he has blood coming from his thigh. Dick walks over to us, he has bruises on his face. He most likely has bruised ribs as well, considering the way he winces every time he breathes. "I have an excuse. I took a nice dip in the Lazarus Pit. Being a crazy killer is an added bonus. What's your excuse?" I reply.

"I didn't kill him. He's just taking a nice nap," Tim retorts.

"Yeah, which he may be taking for who knows how long," I state.

"Well, can you blame me? He has your ugly face," Tim spats. I glare at him, before I can respond Dick cuts in. "Will you two quit it?! I'm in a lot of pain at the moment and hearing you two bite each other's heads off, isn't doing anything to quell the pain." We both stop talking. "Sorry. Are you alright?" Tim asks.

"I'll live. What about you two? You both got shot," Dick says worried.

I shrug and wince a little, "We'll live. Let's go." I make my way towards the door. Tim and Dick follow me. We're not in good shape. I don't know if we'll be able to fight another opponent and survive. Hopefully, we would find what we're looking for and complete our mission. We better be able to bring back Bruce's memories. This entire journey better be worth it.
