♢chapter three

A thumping of steps sounded pretty fast. Audra turned to Margot who was now worried about what's going on. Audra puts her hand in her bag and pushes her shoulders back as she gets ready to aim at whatever or whoever is coming. Margot starts looking around for anything else coming their way. Three seconds in and they hear a gun cocking and getting ready to fire. Audra sprints to Margot and gets her behind a tree.

"Someone is coming, Margot." Audra says as she counts her bows and listens to the rapid gunfire coming closer and closer.

"Maybe it's a drill or a test -" Margot starts to say but gets cut of as bullets start to ricochet through the two trees next to them.

"Drill my ass, here we go." Audra gets up from her knees and aims one of her arrows to where she hears the gunfire coming from. She starts shooting arrows at a constant rate, then the bullets seem to grow less and less.

"CLEAR SHOT?" Margot shouts as she waits for Audra to answer back from defending herself from the shooters.

"Two at your left, three at your six" Audra says over the gunfire as she's still shooting arrows at the shooters.

Margot rounds the corner and throws her knives, stabbing the shooters. Audra still has four shooters left and she's down to one arrow. Audra pulls her arrow out and starts to take aim, but they start to scramble. Audra backs up, still keeping her aim up and shoots at the brownest tree in the grounds. She can hear chuckling, her shooters seem to think she missed. She runs as fast as she can, she didn't miss. As soon as she sees Margot she grabs her.

"We got them, why are we running?" Margot says as Audra drags her a few feet further away from the shooters she didn't get yet.

"I didn't get them I couldn't, it was impossible! I had to-" She says as she is trying to find a breath and still run with Margot in her arms.

" So you missed, that's alright but we can't lead them back-" Margot get's interrupted by Audra who is trying to pull her away as fast as she can.

"I didn't miss" Audra says as she stops Margot from running and turns around to where the shooters were. Margot furrows her brows as she turns around to see what Audra is talking about.

"Holy shi-" Margot gets interrupted by the screams of people and the sound of what the sizzling of skin sounds like. Audra looks at Margot with sorrow in her eyes, Margot processing what Audra just did. She aimed for the electric tree, there are two every mile or so on the grounds incase there were ever intruders. No one ever thought that a simple bow and arrow could set off the twenty feet electric floor board.
