Interrogation

Dick's P.O.V.

Alfred had just dropped me home, and surprisingly Bruce was home. I ran up to him and surrounded him with questions.

"How did it go? What exactly did you say? What did the principal say? Did t-" I was cut off.

"Dick we have to go to the police station." Bruce said heading towards the door.

"W...wha.... Why?" I asked slightly scared.

"Commissioner Gordon just wants to question you so we can make sure this doesn't happen again." Bruce said while exiting with Alfred. I sighed in relief that it wasn't so Bruce could be turned in. I set my backpack down and made my way to the car.

I sat in the small interrogation room feeling like a criminal. Is this where most of the Gotham criminal would sit before being taken to prison.

"Ok, so I'm sure you know what's been going on." Commissioner Gordon started.

"Yes." I replied nodding my head.

"So I'm just going to ask you a few questions to get this all cleared up." He continued. Wasn't it already all cleared up?

"Ok?" I responded.

"First question, Has Bruce ever hurt you in anyway?" He asked.

"No." I responded getting slightly angered.

"Second question, Has Bruce ever forced you to do something you didn't want to, and this something wasn't safe or secure." Gordon asked. I don't think he did... I'm the one who chose to be Robin, so," No." I answered. These questions were easy.

"Third Question, When you do something bad that you aren't allowed to do what is Bruce's form of punishment?" He asked. Well he won't let me be Robin, but of course I can't tell him that.

"I can't go out because he will ground me. Usually he'll scold me, but nothing extreme,"I replied kind of truthfully. I really can't go out... As Robin at least. Sometimes it's both, so I consider that grounding.

"Fourth question, Why do you have many injuries?" Gordon asked as if he wanted to know this one himself. What was I supposed to tell him?

"Well, I like to go over my limits, and going over my limits makes me end up doing something stupid, but even after the injury I will try again." I replied confidently.

"Fifth and final question, Are these abuse rumors true?" He asked and as fast as I possibly could I responded," No!" I basically yelled out.

"Okay son, you can go now." He said while opening the door. I was greeted by Alfred and Bruce. I was so happy that this was over with and I wouldn't have to worry about it anymore. I walked outside with Bruce and Alfred, and Alfred started up the car. I was about to get into the car too, but Bruce stopped me.

"Dick, do you think your injuries are my fault?" Bruce asked me seriously.

"No, of course not." I told him immediately.

"I am the reason why you have this life." He replied.

"But I'm the one who chose to follow you into this life." I said as I got into the car and places my crutches on the seat. Was Bruce really thinking that this was his fault? Of course it wasn't! I'm the one who wanted to be Robin! I'm the one who made the mistakes and got hurt... Not Bruce (Batman).
