Fractured

Warning! I have yet to edit all chapters, so please excuse my really sucky chapters!!!

Seriously... They suck. And yes, I am aware of the plot holes...

Prepare yourself!

If ur a grammar Nazi just turn back now... it's not too late...

And yes, some chapters (that are edited) will be better written than others.... I'm sorry.

Dick Grayson practically limped into Gotham Academy with a pair of crutches and a thick cast on his left leg. He strolled down the hallways, trying his best not to bump into anyone, which was quite a feat. The ebony eventually made it into his biology class with a couple minutes to spare. He slowly headed towards his seat, but not before noticing his teacher, Mrs. Oaks, eyeing him suspiciously. His teacher was actually staring at his down cast. Dick did his best to ignore what was happening. It was probably nothing.

How much harm could she do anyways? He was Robin, the Boy Wonder. He fought notorious criminals just about each night, and she was merely a 60 year old teacher.

Strangely, Mrs. Oaks took it upon herself to approach Dick,"Another injury?" She asked.

"Yeah, I fell while riding my bike." Dick responded casually.

"Again?" Mrs. Oaks asked warily,"Didn't you fall off your bike last time?"

"Actually, last time, I got hurt while practicing gymnastics alone. This time, I probably should have filled up the tires with air or it wouldn't have been the disaster it turned out to be, heavy on the dis." Dick replied calmly trying to hold back a laugh. That actually would have been funny to see. If it had happened to someone else that is.

"Are you sure you fell off of your bike?"

Um... Isn't that what I just said?

"Yes... May I ask why?" Dick began to worry. Did she know he was Robin? Could she possibly know that?

Dick tried his best to separate himself from Robin. Dick Grayson was a nerdy, weak, un-athletic, orphan from the circus. Robin was the talented, smart, brave, and daring Boy Wonder of Gotham. They were hardly alike.

"Bruce didn't have anything to do with this, did he?" Mrs. Oaks asked Dick. This instantly came as a surprise.

"What, no, why would you say that?" The bell then rang, announcing that class had begun.

"Just making sure." The older woman with greeting hair walked to the front of the room, preparing to start class.

Dick was now officially pissed off, and somewhat confused. First, his teacher says he's lying about the way he got his cast- which is actually true, but not the point. Second, she says that the reason for the cast is because of Bruce...? Was she suggesting that Bruce didn't watch out for him enough... or... was she suggesting that Bruce did this to him...

The teen frowned. Bruce would never do anything to hurt him. He took him in to protect him. Bruce nearly goes crazy every time Dick gets hurt as Robin. The billionaire would never do such a thing to his ward.

Dick just shook his head and paid attention to his teacher, who was explaining the phases of mitosis. Though, his mind kept lingering. If his teacher thought that, how many other people were thinking the same thing? Should he be worried?

It felt like eternity, but the bell finally rang once more, dismissing class. Dick walked to his locker, instantly being greeted by the one and only, Barbara Gordon.

"Another injury?" She questions, not surprised at all. They had been friends for quite a while now, and she knew exactly how clumsy Dick could be.

"Yup!" Dick replied popping the 'p'

"What's the story this time?"

"Well I was riding my bike... And I was too lazy to refill the tires with air, so... Yeah. You can make out what happened after that." Dick half explained while opening his locker.

"You are one of the clumsiest people I have ever met!" Barbara said while smacking the back of Dicks head," You couldn't just fill up the tires with air?" She was obviously buying his story.

"No." Dick told her grabbing his books," The air compressor was just so far away!" Dick said overdramatically. He laughed and started heading to his second period class, but was interrupted by the loud intercom.

"Will Richard Grayson please come to the front office?" The secretary's monotone voice said through the intercom.

"What do they want?" Barbara asked. Dick groaned. He didn't even know, but he just hated going to the principals office. They usually had him wait forever and the secretary always sent him the death glare as if he did something wrong.

"I have no idea..." Dick responded turning around and heading towards the office,"Wish me luck."

"Good luck, don't fall and break your arm on the way there." The red-headed female let out a laugh.

"Hilarious... I can stop laughing." Dick rolled his eyes and walked away from his friend. Time to figure out exactly why he was being called to see the Principal. He just hoped he wasn't in trouble, because whatever it was, he didn't do it.
