What were you thinking!?

Wally's P.O.V.

"I'll be back. I want to use a zeta beam to get into the bat cave." Robin said heading out the door," I'll be back real quick. I just need to get something."

"Ok, I'll be here." I said watching him leave. He was soooo lying to me. I could always tell with Dick. He is a terrible liar when he was depressed.

I followed behind him silently and watched him just in case. He surely wasn't heading towards a zeta beam. He knew where they were. There was no way that he was misdirected.
I watched as he walked into an alley way. He was taking off his disguise and hidden beneath them were civvies. I then realized exactly what he was doing. He was going to turn himself in.
Dick began walking towards the police station, stopped, sighed, and continued walking.

I immediately sped towards him and threw him back in the alley. What did he thing he was doing?! They couldn't help him. If he turned himself in there was no chance of Bruce ever becoming a free man. He would easily be charged guilty if Dick turned himself in.

"What are you doing here?!" Dick yelled," I have to do this Walls."

"No you don't! What can you possibly gain from this, Dick?"

"I'm helping people by doing this!" He wells trying to escape my grasp.

"No you're not!" I yelled back angered," Who's life would you make better? Certainly not mine, Bruce's, Artemis', M'ganns, Kaldurs, or Connors!"

"I would help other peopl-"

"Hey, aren't you Dick Grayson?!" A feel males voice exclaimed. I whipped around and saw a man. He was well built, had broad shoulders, and had about three tattoos on both arms. He had just thrown a cigarette butt to the ground, and was making his way towards Dick.

"Kid, get over here!" He said walking towards us," I need to make some money."
Dicks face widened in horror,"Look what you did!"
'No time to argue.' I quickly grabbed Dicks wrist, grabbed his suit, and sped off.

"Would you like to explain this to me?" Uncle Barry asked slightly angered.

"What do you mean?" Wally asked confused as he directed towards the T.V. The two boys saw the same man they had met in the alley.

"I saw the brat! He was with another kid too. An older one. He was a red head! He disappeared before I could catch him. I'm not sure how though. One second he was here, the next he's gone." The screen blackened to nothing. Barry held the remote his finger laid over the red power button.
"Care to explain?" Barry asked again,"Or do you want to me to believe that Dick did this?"

"I did do this," The boy wonder bowed his head in shame," It is my fault why this happened. Don't blame Wally. Blame me." Barry's eyes widened. As did Wally's. The young speedster was prepared to take the blame for the chaos. He didn't want Dick to get in trouble. He had only been doing what he thought was right.

"I-I was going to tur-turn myself in." Dick said quietly.

"Dick, why would you do that?" Barry asked shocked.

"So you wouldn't have to deal with me! It would make other peoples life a lot easier!" Dick replied," Don't I stress you? I'm taking up all of your time! You should be spending quality time with your family. Not taking care of my life."
"Dick, I want you to stay here, and turning yourself in would only keep Bruce in prison. They wouldn't look into his case once that have you." Barry said," The fact that you ran helps us prove that Bruce isn't abusing you and that they are making false accusations. The fact that you want to stay with Bruce helps them know that Bruce Wayne really is a good person."

"I-I just was tired of hiding." Dick responded," I didn't mean to upset you."

Barry sighed," It's okay, but don't try that again. It won't help anyone in a good way at all. You have to trust me on this one."

"Yes sir." Dick said heading upstairs. He really did believe he was doing something right by turning himself in. Why couldn't Dick just see that he really was vulnerable right now? That the was being hunted by everyone. Either the cops for the law, or civilians for money. Why did Dick have to blame himself for everything? Why couldn't he just understand what his actions truly do to others?
