Love Language: Acts of Service

When you got home, you noticed the plate of food carefully covered in Saran Wrap waiting patiently at the dining table. Hawks was passed out on the table at the seat next to the food. He looked so tired and you couldn't help but smile at the sight. Despite the passed out bird man, you were in for a treat.

Immediately after taking off your shoes, you noticed the floors were clean from any speck of dirt and the kitchen shined from its glossy finish. You couldn't help but appreciate returning to a clean home.

As you dropped off the snacks and fruits you picked up on your way home, you noticed the fridge was restocked. You would gladly have to check off grocery shopping from your mental shopping list.

You sat at your seat and unwrapped the food to see it was still steaming. He must have made it in a hurry knowing you were almost home. You carefully pet Hawks' head and caressed his cheek before eating your food.

After you finished eating, you brought your plate to the sink but noticed a sticky note above it. In Hawks' handwriting it read:

Get ready, we leave at 7.

You looked over your shoulder to see Hawks still sleeping soundly but you noticed his outfit. It wasn't too fancy but it definitely wasn't his usual attire. So he fell asleep after getting ready? How cute.

You decided to shower and entered the bathroom but found your towel missing. You searched the bathroom until you gave up and opened the dryer to find the very towel you "lost". It was sitting alone in the dryer just waiting to be picked up, but what surprised you was how warm it was. You immediately tossed it back in to preserve its warmth.

Never had you ever showered as quick as you had. You were so excited to wrap yourself in that warm towel, and it was worth keeping it in the dryer. It felt so heavenly you swore you were going to swoon.

Sadly, you had to leave the warm towel as it lost its original, fluffy warmth and got ready for your date with Hawks.

After changing, you left the bedroom to find Hawks finally awake, and washing the dish you had left behind in your excitement. You rushed him from behind and shoved your face in his unsuspecting wings.

"Lovebird?" You heard Hawks exclaim as he almost dropped the plate.

"Thank you," you said into his back and added, "for everything."

"You ready?" Hawks asked as he sent a feather to massage your back in return.

You nodded and responded, "Yes."

He turned around to face you and hugged you back. "Hope you're hungry," he teased and led you to the door.
