Screaming. That's all I could seem to do right now. It was dark and I was scared shitless. This was the first nightmare I've had since I came to Hogwarts. I was away from my home, I didn't have my mother to comfort me, and I was stuck in a dorm with my friends— how embarrassing.

Aria rushed to my side as Dani quickly used her wand to light a few candles around the room for some light. They began checking on me, trying to make sure I was okay. All that could be heard through out the room was my hyperventilating and the panic in their voices. I could see their lips moving in front of me, but I couldn't hear a word coming out of their mouths. It was like the only sound I could hear was ringing.

It was the same dream as usual. The giant snake striking to eat me in the mysterious house. I looked around at the panic on all of their faces as they were sitting on my bed, embracing me, trying to get me to relax. It didn't matter what they did, nothing was working.

"I'm taking to you Madame Pomfrey, she'll be able to give you some medicine to relax and snap out of it." Ari said in a panic, pulling me off the bed, not knowing what else to do in the middle of the night.

All of them grabbed a hold of me, leading me out of the room. My sobs and heavy breathing quickly filled the quiet common room as we entered. Not that it mattered, it'd surely be empty at this time.

But I was wrong, I saw a figure jump up from the couch in a panic as we all made our way down the stairs. His silver eyes filling with worry at the sight of me, not knowing what to do.

"What did you do to her?" He spat at my friends, making his way over to us as we walked through the room. Maggie scoffed at him, unsure why he cared so much about the situation. They were still unaware about the deal he had in place with our fathers.

"Nothing! She woke up like this!" Dani told him, fear running through her words as she said them.

"Oh, piss off, Malfoy!" Maggie yelled at him, continuing to push me out of the room. Draco stepped in front of us, blocking the exit and forcing us to come to a stop. His face continued to search mine as I cried, trying to read my eyes with his own.

"You never seem to give two shits about anybody any other time, why do you suddenly care now? You're nothing but a fucking prick who bullies the people around you! You're just nosey, and now you'll run off to your dorm room and make fun of her like the dick you are! Now, get out of my face before Madame Pomfrey has to give me the calming draught as well, asswipe!" Maggie shoved him out of her way, and pulled me through the door leading to the hallway, Aria and Dani right on our heels.

I couldn't get Draco's shocked expression out of my mind as I walked through the halls. Surely, he didn't care about me that much.

It seemed like things just couldn't get any worse, but I was wrong. I'd find that much out soon enough.

I felt groggy as hell the morning after Madame Pomfrey had shoved that disgusting potion down my throat. I don't care how bad my nightmares get, I refuse to drink THAT ever again.

"So, why do you get these dreams?" Dani asked. We were currently walking through the hallway on our way to charms class.

"Beats me." I mumbled, keeping my gaze straight ahead. I didn't feel like playing a game of 20 questions right now.

"What are they about?" Maggie tried probing some more.

"You know, I'd really rather not talk about this anymore, if that's okay with you guys?" I said, trying to shake off the conversation as a whole. I think it came off as a little rude, but I didn't care at this point.

"Right. Gotcha. Sorry." Maggie replied to my sudden outburst. We walked into the room and sat at our usual tables, waiting for the rest of the class to join us.

Maggie and Dani sat together and Aria made her way over to the table that Blaise was already seated at. I sat down at my empty table and found it a bit unusual. With Blaise already being in the room, I wondered where Draco was. I put my arms down on the desk and laid my head down to get some rest. I was so exhausted from last night, I wanted nothing more than to go to sleep.

It didn't take long before the blonde heathen had thrown his stuff on the table beside me, giving me a slight heart attack at the sudden noise. I jumped up and looked at him, and he gave me quick look over as he sat down in his chair.

"You look like goblin piss." He smirked at me as he took his seat.

"Long night." I said as I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah. I heard." He snickered.

"Shut the fuck up, Malfoy." I mumbled under my breath as I started to fiddle with my quill in between my fingers.

The class seemed to drag on for what felt like hours. Draco never spoke to me again, thankfully. I was too irritable and moody to put up with his shit today. I just sat and stared at the board in the front of the room, praying we could get out of here soon.

When we were finally dismissed, I jumped up from the table swiftly and made my way over to Aria. I was ready to get as far away from Draco as I could. As she collected all of her belongings, we ended up being some of the last few to make it out of the room.

We began walking through the halls, not really talking about anything in particular. We had some time to kill before our next class, so we were in no rush. The most annoying zipping noise was all you could seem to hear as other children were walking past us.

"What the FUCK IS THAT?" Ari finally yelled, making us all look over at her. "Do you guys not hear it? That insufferable ringing! Seriously, I can't take that noise anymore! Am I going mad?" She shouted.

I looked around the hall trying to figure out where the noise was coming from, and I noticed that many students were wearing pins on their robes. One moment it had Cedric on it with his name in bold letters, the next it would swish and zip and turn into one that read "Potter Stinks!"

I rolled my eyes at the sight. How immature do you have to be to make something like that? Who even cares that much about Potter to put him on a pin to begin with? Even if it was to bad mouth him.

Suddenly, Draco came storming through the corridor from around a corner, he looked furious and... almost frightened? His hair was disheveled and his tie was strung over his shoulder while dirt covered his robes. We had just left class less than 15 minutes ago, what on Earth could he have gotten himself into that quickly? I could've laughed at the sight, enjoying that he had gotten his bad karma for picking on me.

"Awe, did someone tell you about your bad hair cut, Malfoy?" I faked a pout as he made his way towards us. My friends laughed at my joke, turning their attention towards him as well.

He never made eye contact with me as he continued to walk past us stating, "No! That fucking professor has gone completely mad! He turned me into a bloody ferret! Just wait-"

"Until my father hears about this!" The four of us mocked him at the same time, causing us to burst out into laughter. He never turned back towards us— just continued walking as far away as he could.

We were all cramming into the wooden bleachers of the arena, waiting for the first task of the Triwizard Tournament to begin. I sat between my friends, starting to feel the excitement rise within the arena and in my bones.

As soon as the students had finished taking their seats, a cannon went off, signaling that the first task was beginning. My friends and I started screaming and cheering in anticipation, ready for the games to finally begin. The students around us were going just as crazy, enjoying the fun events that were about to take place for the next couple of months.

Cedric suddenly appeared from the large tent to our right. He looked at the dragon chained in the middle of the arena, and I could tell that he was getting nervous as the dragon was protecting a golden egg that Cedric had to retrieve. I couldn't help but start to feel butterflies form in my stomach at the sight of him. He looked cute when he was trying to focus.

"Oooohhhh, there's your man! Yay Cedric!" Maggie yelled, beginning to stand to her feet and cheer. I quickly pulled her back down with a scowl before she could attract any more attention to us.

"Would you PLEASE!" I hissed quietly. "He is not my man. I haven't even spoken to him yet. I don't know if I like him like that— nor do I know if he even likes me." I rolled my eyes.

Which was true. Ever since our slight flirting weeks before, I haven't been able to talk to Cedric even if I wanted the opportunity to. He's constantly swarmed with attention. Although, I shouldn't be too surprised. He was the school favorite right now— especially with Harry being the #1 hated student.

"He is totally into you though, you know." Dani laughed, causing my attention to turn to her suddenly.

"You think so?" I asked them, maybe a little too quickly.

"So you do like him like that!" Ari pointed a knowing finger at me while she snickered at my reaction. I stuck my tongue out at her in response when I was lost for words.

It didn't take long for Cedric to accomplish the task. He held the egg up in the air, and the crowd immediately started screaming and cheering for him loudly. I jumped up to my feet and started clapping with my friends as I shouted.

I couldn't wait to congratulate him later for his accomplishments. Maybe that is how I'll start our... friendship. If you're catching my drift here.

Viktor and Fleur both accomplished the task as well, however neither of them executed it nearly as well or quick as Cedric had.

That left only one wizard to have to face their dragon. A thorn tail stood in the middle of the arena, and I couldn't help but feel kind of worried for Harry. He was definitely facing the most dangerous dragon of the four.

I have to admit, I would never be able to do something like this at our age— and I even know that I'm better at magic than Harry is.

"Bet he doesn't even last 5 minutes, you know. Pathetic little git, he is. Did I tell you about the bet I'm having with my father? You see, he told me he'd get me a new ring for my collection if Potter lasts at least 10 minutes. I told him to just throw the idea away because he wouldn't make it out of the tent." Draco snickered to Blaise right in front of us. The two boys shared a moment of laughter before I lightly slapped Draco on the back of the head to get him to sod off.

"You know, if it were you out there Malfoy, I wouldn't just sit here and let people talk about you like that! Knock it off! He's probably nervous enough as it is." I said angrily, not believing I was actually sticking up for Harry Potter of all people— I must be losing my bloody marbles.

Draco knew it was me that had slapped him as soon as he heard me speak. Crabbe and Goyle started to laugh at him, which only made his ears burn a brighter shade of crimson. He grabbed the back of his head in pain and slowly turned around to face me with a scoff of disbelief.

"Did you just hit me, Brown? Over Potter?" He asked with a sullen look on his face, lightly hitting my knee with his fist to try and get back at me, but not hurt me.

"Yeah... I did... and I'll do it again if it means it'll knock the grimace off your face." I spat at him, not intimidated by his actions at all.

"I don't know why you're getting so angry at me, Brown. You're the one who just said you wouldn't let people bad mouth me. Must be taking a liking to me or something. You wouldn't be the first one to add me to your list of fancies this year." He smirked and ran his tongue over his top teeth while his friends snickered beside him at our ongoing argument.

"I would rather have my fucking eyes gouged out by Dumbledore's pet Phoenix than ever take a liking to you." I made a disgusted face as his eyes narrowed on mine.

My friends started to laugh as well, just as his little cronies had been doing on his behalf. Before anyone could get another word out, we all noticed that Harry was starting to panic down in the arena. Our attention was now directed towards him, waiting to see what his next move would be in the silence.

The dragon was looking at him like he was some sort of meal. I was holding my breath in anticipation, hoping that he'd be able to pull this task off safely. I just didn't want to see the poor lad die out there... especially in front of all of us Hogwarts students.

Talk about some ending to his fairytale of a story...

"Harry!" Granger yelled from the stands, grabbing his attention. She yelled something else at him that we couldn't make out. The next thing Harry did was wave his wand around... and nothing happened.

Well, that's awkward... I can't even defend him anymore after that one.

"The git doesn't even remember how to do magic! How did he end up here?!" Draco yelled, confusion on his face as he watched. "Are you still going to defend him after that?!" Draco turned around and asked as he pointed down at the boy.

Much to everyone's surprise, Harry's Firebolt had flown into the arena, and he was able to jump on just in time. Thank Merlin he had a plan after all. I poked Draco in the back of the neck as a way to mock him for dissing on Harry, and he swatted at my hand with a deep frown pulling at his features.

Harry flew towards the golden egg in the center of the arena, and just as he was about to grab it, he missed it by mere inches. He quickly redirected the broom to avoid colliding with the dragon that was in front of him, and he flew upwards to try and get a better angle— but suddenly the chains containing the dragon had snapped and the dragon flew after him.

"Is that supposed to happen?!" Dani yelled in fear as she watched the dragon fly after the poor boy who was flying for his dear life. It was trying to grab him off of the broom in the middle of the air, snapping it's jaws at him each time it had come close. Everyone started to rise out of their seats to follow the scene that was occurring over us in the sky.

"Oh, I can't look!" I yelled as I put my robes up over my eyes and sat back down in my seat.

What was going to happen if Harry was eaten by the dragon right now? It's only the first task for crying out loud!

I felt a hand rub the top of my head and mess up the roots of my hair, making me pull my robe down and look at who it was. My eyes were met with Draco's sterling pair, a smirk on his face as everyone around us paid us no mind. I had never taken a moment to truly see just how much they twinkled like stars in an autumn sky. I knew I was staring, but for once I felt like I really couldn't look away from the spell they had me in. He didn't notice my infatuation as he turned back around and started talking with the boys seated with him.

Minutes had passed, and everyone started to sit down where they were as they were patiently waiting for anything to happen. Harry still hadn't returned to the arena, and we had lost him from our view a while ago. No one had any idea where he had gone now, or if he was even still alive, or if the dragon had flown off and Harry was miles from the school.

"You think it killed him?" Goyle asked enthusiastically, still searching the sky around us for the boy with a grin on his lips.

"If we're lucky..." Crabbe mumbled out of the corner of his mouth, however we all heard him. I decided that had also earned him a light slap on the back of his head from me.

Dimwit.

Draco laughed as my hand collided with the back of his friend's head, enjoying it a little too much. I felt my lips curl as I realized that I had never caused such genuine fits of laughter to leave the boy's mouth. He bumped shoulders with his friend and made fun of him in the process. "Not so funny when it's you she's hitting? Is it, Crabbe?" He chuckled, earning a groan from Vincent while he rubbed his head.

"Look!" Maggie shouted, pointing at a thick cloud of black smoke in the distance. It looked like it was slowly making its way towards us as we squinted in its direction.

"Oh, bloody hell!" Draco yelled defeatedly, but his voice was drowned out by the sound of cheers erupting throughout the stadium. Harry flew in on his slightly burning broomstick, the dragon not far behind him. He scooped up the egg in the center of the arena, and held it high up in the air as he continued to fly around.

I couldn't help but cheer for him. I was honestly glad he was able to pull it off.
