{The Field Trip}

DISCLAIMER: As much as I would love to, I do not, nor do I ever foresee myself, own Marvel Cinematic Universe. They are the properties of their respective owners. I am just borrowing their works to fulfill my own desires.

Edit: Yea you might've noticed that I've changed Mr. Harrington's name to Mr. Lyne since a reader pointed out that Harrington is a smol bean and I am inclined to agree with them :D

"WHAT? But, I'm not lying," a young boy with fluffy brown curls and doe eyes cried out to his teacher, Mr. Lyne. "I'm sorry Mr. Parker, but your lie needs to be punished. Mr. Stark's personal intern? It has gone too far," the teacher scolded. "But I'm not even lying," Peter whispered. "Enough Mr. Parker," Mr. Lyne said, "Leave. You are not allowed to come to the surprise field trip tomorrow. High school interns are not allowed there. Leave alone being Mr. Stark's personal intern. I know that. Maybe next time you will think before making up such a big lie." Peter Parker opened his mouth to speak, but apparently gave up and left, not even wishing the teacher.

"I can't go to the trip," Peter whispered to his best friends, Ned Leeds and Michelle Jones/MJ. She narrowed her eyes, "It's fine Peter. We also are not going," MJ declared. Ned nodded along fervently, "Yes. Totally. We're staying with you," he said. Peter looked at his friends with soft eyes. He was glad that they were the ones he had revealed his identity as Spiderman to them. Oh yes, Peter Parker, the resident nerd, is Spiderman as well by the way.

"Guys no, I can't ask that of you, enjoy your field trip, I'll go to Mr. Stark or something okay? Besides, Stark Towers is way better than any other field trip," he grinned brightly at them. Ned and MJ exchanged looks. "If you're sure," Ned said, albeit a bit reluctantly. "I'm sure," Peter smiled. They both smiled back at him. "We'll get you loads of photos," Ned promised. "I will show you my sketches from my crisis notebook," MJ smirked. Peter laughed, "Thank you, guys."

----------

Peter went over to the Stark Tower glumly. He scanned his pass, "Peter Parker, Level 7 Red, Personal Intern, All Access. Welcome back Mini Stark," FRIDAY's warm voice washed over him. "Hey FRI," Peter smiled. "HEY MINI STARK," Eliza, the blonde-haired secretary, shouted from her desk. Her voice caught the attention of other workers and all of them started greeting him. Peter greeted and smiled and high-fived everyone. It was impossible not to love Peter Parker. All the interns and workers adored the small boy.

He eventually reached the elevator and went to the floor where Tony Stark's personal labs were. "Hey Mr. Stark," Peter greeted, walking into the lab. "Bambino," the man beamed, hugging Peter "how are you?" The boy hugged his mentor tightly, taking in his familiar scent of cologne and motor oil, "I'm great Mr. Stark." "Are you excited about your field trip?" Tony asked.

Peter froze, "About that..." he trailed off, "I'm not going." The billionaire looked up, confused, "Why?" "I just don't want to go," Peter said quickly.

"Peter," Tony's use of his actual name instead of the usual 'Bambino/Bambi' or 'Tesoro' or 'Kid' made his head snap up, "Don't lie to me. What happened?" Peter looked into his father-figure's warm whiskey-colored eyes, and all the words just poured out of his mouth.

"They-don't-believe-me-about-the-Stark-internship-and-I-am-being-punished-because-it-was-a-very-big-lie-apparently-I-swear-Mr. Stark-I-didn't-even-tell-anyone-about-my-internship-it's-just-that-my-bully-Flash-Thompson-overheard-me-talking-to-Ned-and-MJ-and-he-spread-it-to-the-whole-school-oh-my-gosh-I'm-so-sorry," Peter said in one breath, very quickly, but Tony caught it alright. His eyes narrowed at the word 'bully'.

"Why didn't you tell me you were being bullied?" Peter looked around frantically, eyes flitting through everything but his mentor. "It doesn't matter Mr. Stark. It's not important. Only one more year then I'll be gone and so will be Flash, there's no need to do anything," he said. Tony inhaled and exhaled slowly.

"Fine. Why don't you stay here for a few days? I'll talk to Aunt May. You can help me out and maybe give few tours as well," he said, his eyes twinkling knowingly. Peter agreed, not thinking much about it.

That night, when Spiderman was out for patrol, Tony Stark was found speaking to the Avengers, planning something involving the boy who was practically his son.

----------

Peter woke up in his room in Stark Towers. "Hey FRI, can you tell me the time please?" he asked groggily. "It's currently 8:14 am Mini Stark. Would you like me to notify Boss that you're awake?" the A.I's pleasant voice said. "No, thanks FRI. Where is he?" "Boss is currently in the kitchen. He has had 3 cups of coffee," FRIDAY said. "Oh, okay. Let me know when he has had 7. It will be safe to go then," Peter said. "That would be advisable Mini Stark."

Time skip: Tony has drunk 7 cups of coffee

"Hey, Tesoro?" Tony said. The boy looked up from his mountain of pancakes, his cheeks puffed out. He chewed and swallowed his food quickly. "Yes, Mr. Stark?" he asked, sheepishly wiping his chin of syrup. "What do you think of giving a tour today? We have a school group coming today," Tony asked, his eyes twinkling as if he knew something Peter didn't. "Sure, why not?" Peter said, completely missing Mr. Stark's amused smirk and his phone dinging in his jeans in the closet where he had forgotten it.

----------

GuyInTheChair: Hey Spidey. The entire grade is coming to Stark Towers for our field trip!

GuyInTheChair: Peter?

GuyInTheChair: Peter, Flash is yelling around the bus that you were too scared of coming to the Tower.

GuyInTheChair: You've still not read the messages...

MtothefuckingJ: Leave him be. I need his face for the crisis notebook.

----------

"Class... We are going to the Stark Towers for our field trip," Mr. Lyne exclaimed in the bus. There was a moment of silence, then everyone started cheering loudly. "LOOKS LIKE PENIS PARKER WAS TO SCARED TO COME TO THE FIELD TRIP," Eugene 'Flash' Thompson screamed.

"Hey Eugene," Mj's cool voice came from the back of the bus, "The zoo called. They are asking how the fuck you got out of your cage and they want you back."

The students 'oohed' while Flash's face reddened and he opened his mouth, "Another word and you're off the Decathlon team," MJ snapped. He wisely kept his mouth shut for the rest of the bus ride.

"Peter's not opening his messages," Ned whispered. "Leave him alone. Maybe after seeing him, Flash will shut up forever," MJ said back. Ned smirked devilishly and shrugged, pocketing his phone.

----------

"Hey, Mr. Stark, when will the tour group be coming?" Peter asked. In the tower, he did not need to hide, so he was dressed comfortably in properly fitting clothes.

"They'll be here in another 10 minutes," Tony said, not looking up from his laptop. Peter picked up a Stark tablet and made his way to the elevator. "I'll go to the intern levels for a while," he said. "Okay Bambi, don't lose track of time," his mentor said. "Okay, bye dad," Peter said absently, typing something on his tablet.

Tony's head snapped up. A smile bloomed on his face. "FRIDAY, did you save that?" "Yes sir, the audiovisual has been saved in the file named 'My Tesoro Being Adorable'. There are now 1157 items."

----------

"Hello, Midtown High," a perky blonde woman greeted the class gathered in the lobby, "My name is Sofia Ellison and I am an intern here. First and foremost, you need to sign these NDAs here. Everything in this tower is highly classified and not a gist of it should go outside the tower otherwise you'll be sued of every last penny you have" she pleasantly said.

After everyone had nervously signed, she called out, "These are your badges, please step forward and take them." Mr. Lyne made everyone form a line and they gazed at their violet badges with the number 1 written on them in wonder.

"These badges are temporary, and will only stay activated until your tour time. After that, you cannot scan them. Don't try selling them, they'll not work and if you try for some reason beyond my comprehension, you'll be blacklisted from all Stark facilities. These badges have limited access, so you won't be able to go to the higher floors without someone with a higher level than you." "What do the different numbers and colors symbolize?" Cindy Moon asked.

"Good question," Sofia smiled, "Okay so the number and color system is fairly simple, it is arranged like a rainbow. The lowest color is violet, which you have, and the highest level is red, which the Avengers and some other people have. The colors in between are for interns, lab directors, scientists, higher-level scientists, personal interns, and tour guides. The numbers symbolize how much access you have, going from 1 to 7. The lowest number is 1, which is for tour groups as yourself and the media reporters. The highest badge is Red 7 which only Mr. Stark, Miss Potts, and Mini Stark have. Red 7 includes access to Tony Stark and Mini Stark's personal labs as well. The Avengers usually Red 6. Any more questions?" Abe raised his hand.

"Who is Mini Stark?" he asked. Sofia laughed softly, "Mini Stark is like the entire tower's adopted son, he is the youngest intern. He's Mr. Stark's personal intern," here Flash grinned maliciously at Ned and MJ, "but he is like a genius and will probably be the heir to the company. In fact," she said, "Mini Stark will be giving you your tour today," she exclaimed. The class cheered.

"Now a warning," Sofia said, becoming serious, "You have to be completely and utterly respectful to him. It's not like he is rude or aggressive, he is the complete opposite. The entire tower loves him and we have an A.I. FRIDAY. She runs the entire building. One bad word about him and you'll have the entire Avengers team at your doorstep. No one in the tower will bear anything against that adorable bean, including me, got it?" The class nodded their heads.

"Good, FRIDAY, where is Mini Stark?" Sofia asked. The robotic voice startled the entire group, and they gazed at the ceiling in wonder, "Mini Stark is currently running from the intern level labs. Apparently, he lost track of time." Sofia chuckled as if used to it. Ned and Mj smirked at each other. This trip is going to be fun.

"Hey Miss Sofia," panted a familiar voice as the elevator doors parted. The class stood still in shock. Peter Parker was standing there, not in his usual loose sweatshirts or jackets. For the first time, they were able to see his physique. "I'm so sorry, I lost track of time," Peter smiled sheepishly. "It's fine Mini Stark," Sofia laughed, ruffling his hair when he reached her. Peter scowled playfully and settled his hair. Betty Brant let out a soft gasp when his arm muscles bulged. MJ narrowed her eyes, looking up for the first time since she had violently started sketching Flash and Mr. Lyne.

Tiny McKeever called out, "Peter?" Peter spun around faster than humanly possible. His eyes widened as he took in his shocked classmates. "Guys," he giggled nervously, "hey. What're you doing here?"

"The good question would be Mr. Parker, what are you doing here?" Mr. Lyne, seemingly regaining himself, asked as he marched towards him and grabbed his arm. "I did not expect you to be this desperate to extend your stupid lie. You need to leave the tower, now," he snarled. Peter wrenched away from his teacher, and for the first time in front of his class, his eyes showed irritation.

"Yes, of course, Mr. Lyne," Peter spat out, "I am so desperate to extend the so-called lie that I managed to convince an intern here to pretend to know me, hacked into the A.I., one of the most secure ones in the world, to know and identify me, and came down from the upper levels just because of you guys who I didn't even know were coming." Lyne stood still. The way Peter put it, it sounded extremely stupid and unbelievable. Did that mean that the internship was real?

"Your internship is real?" Abraham said. "Of course it is. You all just chose not to believe me. The teachers did not even try to contact the number given under the documents and decided to conclude by themselves that I was lying," Peter said, with no emotion in his voice. The class looked down, very interested in their own shoes. "Peter- I- we- I'm so sorry," Lyne stuttered out.

Peter just looked at him impassively, "Tell the Principal and teachers that I'm telling the truth about my internship and tell them to take away all the unnecessary detentions I've got." When Lyne nodded and turned away to talk to his phone, Peter turned to Sofia. "Where is the tour group I'm in charge of?" Sofia smirked and said, "They're right behind you. Midtown School of Science and Technology. "What- but," then he groaned loudly, "I'm going to kill Mr. Stark," he muttered to himself. He turned towards his class. "The Principal has notified the entire school. We all apologize profusely to you," Lyne said softly. Peter ignored him and his posture straightened as he faced his class, plastering a sweet smile on his face. "You can go now Sofia," he said. Sofia nodded and ruffled his fluffy hair one more time before leaving.

"Hello, Midtown School-," "What the FUCK PENIS," Flash shouted. Peter turned to Flash. "Mr. Thompson, it will do you well to know that Stark Tower has a strict no-bullying policy against both, students and our staff. You have only three strikes. If you use all three, you will be thrown out of the tower and can forget about getting a job in any company related to Stark Industries. We are very serious about all this. This was strike one. I have complete authority over you, so it will be beneficial to you to shut up and listen," he turned away from a gaping Flash, and addressed the entire class, "All of you should also know that your whispers can easily be heard by FRIDAY, so don't think you can get away with making snide comments against your classmates or our staff. Understand?" The class nodded, Mr. Lyne included, completely entranced by this new Peter.

"Now, all of you please scan your batches over there," he motioned to the security gate set up, "And FRIDAY will announce your name, level, occupation, and access. Like this," he walked over and scanned his pass. FRIDAY's voice came out, "Peter Parker, Level 7 Red, Personal Intern, All Access. Hello Mini Stark, the entire tower has come to know that you're here today, and all of them request you to come to them when you have time. None of them are urgent." "Very well, thanks FRI." He turned to his class, who was still standing on the other side. "What are you waiting for? Come one," he urged.

Flash pushed his way past first, smirking. "Eugene Thompson, Level 1 Violet, Tour Group, Limited Access, Bully of Mini Stark. Welcome Eugene Thompson, I must say, I pity you. The Avengers are not very happy with you for threatening their favorite kid." Flash, pale-faced, walked towards Peter and stood silently behind him. "Cindy Moon, Level 1 Violet, Tour Group, Limited Access. Welcome, Cindy Moon." This is going to take a long time, Peter thought.

----------

"Okay, is everyone here?" Peter asked. When Mr. Lyne nodded, he called out, "Follow me." He pivoted on his heel and made his way to the elevator, speaking as he went,

"Stark Industries is a multinational industrial company and the largest tech conglomerate in the world. Founded in 1940 by Howard Stark, the elder Stark ran the company from its inception up until he died in 1991, after which Obadiah Stane was appointed interim CEO, with Tony Stark officially assuming the position shortly after at the age of twenty-one. Under Mr. Stark's control, the company flourished financially for nearly two decades; however, when Mr. Stark discovered that Stane was selling their weapons to terrorist groups around the world, such as the Ten Rings, he shut down their lucrative weapons division. In 2010, Mr. Stark appointed Pepper Potts as the CEO of Stark Industries after realizing that he was dying from palladium poisoning, a position Mr. Stark allowed Miss Potts to maintain after he engineered his own recovery."

Peter's fondness for the company could clearly be heard from his voice. The way he spoke was captivating, enchanting everyone to listen to him. It was obvious that he was in charge here. "Usually tour groups would be able to meet Miss Potts, but I believe she is on a business to France, so you guys will unfortunately not be able to meet her," Peter said to the disappointment of many.

They all stepped into the large elevator. "FRI, to the Level 1 gyms please?" The elevator started moving. "Any questions so far?" Peter turned around, winking at Ned and MJ when he caught their eyes. When everyone shook their heads, Peter said, "We are, as you heard, going to the lower level gym. The Avengers rarely use them but knowing them, they are probably going to be there to embarrass me. Don't listen to a word they say about me, okay?" He asked playfully. Some people nodded, some laughed, a few even saluted at him, now at ease when Peter went back to his usual persona.

Peter led them to the gym and as predicted, Natasha Romanoff, Steve Rogers, and Clint Barton were there, exercising. "Those are, as you probably know, Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff, and Clint Barton, better known as Captain America, Black Widow, and Hawkeye respectively," Peter said, "Be respectful. And avoid asking personal questions. Okay?" Once everyone agreed, Peter scanned his pass and the door to the gym opened.

"Petey boy, hey!" Clint exclaimed as if they weren't waiting for him to some, "Fancy seeing you here." "I'm the one who should be saying that Mr. Barton. What are you guys doing here?" Peter asked eyes narrowed. "We're exercising," Steve said innocently. "Hello kids," he smiled kindly at the children standing in front of him, "I am Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America, do you wish to ask something?" Every single hand shot up, except for MJ, who was sketching aggressively, muttering something about needing a new sketchbook.

"Hey мой маленький паук," Natasha said to Peter. "Hello моя мать паук," Peter grinned back, "Seriously though, what are you guys doing here?" "Oh don't worry, there is more coming for you," she smirked. Ignoring his questions, she stepped forward towards Flash, whispering something in his ear which paled him rapidly, then greeted the class.

15 minutes of questions later, Peter pushed himself from the wall he was leaning on and walked up. "Guys we need to go, we have other places to be as well," he said. "Of course Little One," Steve smiled at him, "Go ahead." He walked back to the weights he was working on. "You need to stop calling me that nickname," Peter called out while ushering the class towards the exit. Before the door closed, they could hear Steve's faint voice yelling, "Never Little One."

----------

They had finished touring the intern level labs without much interruption, except for the occasional intern coming up to Peter, asking him to either check their projects, sign some documents, or help them solve an equation. It was obvious he was well-respected and adored in the tower

"Anyone has any questions?" Peter asked in the elevator. Cindy raised her hand, and when he nodded towards her, she asked, "What's with all the nicknames the Avengers keep calling you?" she asked. Peter barked out a laugh, "The Avengers all have different names for me for some reason," he shrugged.

"That's because you're our favorite kid, Bambino," Tony Stark's voice came through the speaker of the elevator.

"Seriously," Peter groaned. "Seriously," Tony agreed, "Now. Why don't you all come up to the higher level and have a small Q&A with the Avengers?" The class cheered loudly. The elevator switched its path, and Peter banged his head on the wall.

----------

"Hey, kiddies," Tony Stark greeted the kids. "Come on now, follow me." He ushered them towards one of the conference rooms. The Avengers were already seated there. Steve Rogers, Natasha Romanoff, Clint Barton, Bruce Banner, Vision, Thor, Wanda Maximoff, all of them were there. Tony joined the group at the table.

"Alright, anyone has any questions?" Numerous hands shot up, and the Avengers started picking random students, answering their questions. Thor picked Seymour O'Reilly who asked, "Is there anyone who can list your hammer other than yourself?" Thor laughed and boomed, "Young Son of Parker can wield Mjolnir." The class was silent for a moment before apparently giving up on their mysterious classmate and moved on. Peter stood at the back of the class, not really paying attention.

Finally, Flash got picked by Vision. "My question is to Mr. Stark," Tony narrowed his eyes but nodded, "Do you accept high school interns?" Tony shook his head, "Nope, sorry kid, try applying when you're in college. We only have one high school intern and that's Peter Parker. I had personally recruited him," he smiled at Peter who blushed but smiled back.

"WHY PARKER?" Flash shouted, his restraint finally breaking, "I AM BETTER THAN PENIS PARKER IN-," "What. Did. You. Just. Call. Pete?" Bruce cut him off harshly, turning slightly green. "Guys, it's fine, forget it," Peter tried to reason. "No, it is not fine. No one hurts my baby brother and gets away with it," Wanda said calmly, her eyes glowing dangerously.

"Bambino, tell me, why does the school do nothing about the obvious bullying?" Tony asked, his eyes never leaving a pale Flash. Peter stuttered but MJ cut him off, "The school doesn't want to lose their prime donators. Plus, Flash's mom is on the school board. If Peter tried to do anything to retaliate to Flash's bullying, Peter would be the one who gets detention."

Tony faced the teacher, his face calm although white-hot fury was obvious in his eyes, "Tell the principal that we are soon going to have a meeting. Preferably with a cup of tea and a couple of lawsuits as well as my lawyer," he stated, then turned away from the frightened teacher. "All of you Midgardians should leave," Thor boomed. The class scurried away, Ned and MJ giving Peter quick hugs before leaving.

Peter gulped and slowly turned to face the Avengers, who were watching him with sharp eyes. "Come on Petey boy, we're going to have a talk," Clint said.

----------

At midnight, Tony heard a light knocking on his door. "Come in," he called out, already knowing who it was. Peter, dressed in his pajamas, padded towards the bed. "Hey, Mr. Stark," Peter said shyly. "Who's Mr. Stark?" Tony asked, "I only know dad," he added, his eyes glinting mischievously. "What?" Peter asked confused. "FRIDAY, play that audiovisual." The genius smirked at Peter's red face. The moment the clip ended, Peter started spewing apologies at 100 km/hr.

"Bambino," Stark said loudly, silencing him, "I'm glad you called me dad," he confessed softly. "I think of you as my own son as well." He watched happily as Peter positively beamed brighter than the sun and climbed into the bed, laying down next to him. "Good night dad," Peter softly said. Tony kissed his forehead softly, brushing away his curls.

"Night Bambino."
