{Sherlock Parker? Peter Holmes?}

Requested by anonymous: See, I am obsessed with Sherlock Holmes, and I am obsessed with Peter Parker, so can you make a one-shot with Peter having deduction skills like Sherlock Holmes? And the team gets to know?

TW: Nothing lol.

Ever since he was young, Peter had a love for reading. He would sit on his bed for hours on end and just read.

His favorite novels? Sherlock Holmes.

He idolized Sherlock Holmes and his ways of deducing. Ever since he discovered him, he tried to learn how to read people the way Sherlock did.

And he did.

However, no one knew about this, except for Ned, his sweet, excitable best friend.

And, well, Ned cannot keep his mouth shut, can he?

"Unfreeze dude," Peter laughed, shaking Ned's shoulder.

"Peter, I'm in front of the Avengers," Ned gasped, "How can you not freak out?"

The heroes exchanged short, amused glances with each other.

"Hello Ted," Tony said, "I'm pretty sure you know all of us but for the sake of plot convenience,  I am Tony Stark, genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist, that is Steve Rogers, Captain America, frozen popsicle and genius tactician of the team," Steve nodded at Ned patriotically and Ned stared at him with wide eyes.

"That is Clint Barton, Hawkeye, Supreme Dumbass and can kill anyone anywhere in the world with his bow and arrow," Tony exaggerated. Clint just lifted his hand in greeting.

"Bruce Banner, the Hulk, the Smasher and the Scientist of the team," Tony motioned to Bruce, who smiled lightly at Ned, then returned to his book.

"That's Thor, God of Thunder, Golden Retriever puppy," Thor clapped Ned on his back on his way to the kitchen to get more pop tarts.

"And that is Natasha Romanov, Spy Extraordinaire, and can tell you of your whole life by just looking at you," Nat smirked, "Barnes, Sam, Scott, and Wanda have gone somewhere. I'll introduce you to them when they come back."

"Oh, Peter can do that too," Ned said absentmindedly, staring wide-eyed at the heroes.

"Can do what?" Steve asked.

"He can deduce someone by just looking at them, it's amazing," Ned babbled, ignoring Peter's 'cut-it-out' gestures.

"Really?" Nat raised an eyebrow, "Deduce me," she told Peter, leaving no room for arguments.

Peter sighed and glared at his best friend but nodded and looked her over carefully.

"You just came back from a mission," he said after a moment, and Nat raised both her eyebrows, "A Hydra base. You burnt down the base but had taken 4 prisoners for questioning, but they resisted, so you killed them except for one, who is in SHIELD custody. You haven't handed your report in yet although it is halfway complete. You'll go and question the Hydra you had taken soon after, so you'll complete the report after. You are going to take Steve with you for the questioning."

A stunned silence. Ned smiled proudly.

"How did you know that?" Bruce asked, his book forgotten.

"Nat is wearing the clothes she usually wears after she comes from a mission, and her shoes have dirt in them. Most Hydra bases are usually at barren lands, so I reasoned that she came from a mission to a Hydra base."

"How did you know about the rest of that?" Clint asked, awed.

"Nat's hair is slightly drier than usual, and her fingernails have slight ash in them, so that means she burned down the base. Her arms have faint scars on them that usually occur from nails dragging across the skin, but all the scars are of different sizes, to be precise, four different sizes, so four prisoners. Her knuckles are bruised a bit, but Nat usually avoids using her hands while fighting and punches when questioning, but she still punches with her knuckles covered, so that means that they resisted a lot, so you killed them, which is evident from the slight whitening of skin where you scrubbed harder while you were bathing to remove the bloodstain. But, you are still tapping your foot almost restlessly, which means you want to question someone, so you left one of the Hydras alive, who you have probably already given to SHIELD custody. You still haven't written your report because you usually like to type it out first then write it on paper, but there are no hints of you holding a pen or ink smudges on your fingers. As for you taking Steve, as soon as I mentioned questioning, your eyes, for a moment, flickered towards Steve, so yeah," Peter finished awkwardly.

Silence.

"Holy crap," Tony breathed.

"That was incredible," Thor agreed.

"Say," Nat said, eyes twinkling, "What would you say to become a SHIELD agent?"

"The kid says absolutely not, Romanov."
