"You stay away from him!" I shouted, stepping protectively in front of Sebastian. It was time to step in. I knew I'd probably be risking my badge by stepping up to him, but a father shouldn't treat his son that way.

"And who are you to tell me what to do? Sebastian's an idiot and he should know it."

"No, he's not! He's perfectly fine the way he is!" I shouted back, bringing Sebastian into a hug. He looked at me, tears in his eyes. I smiled before turning back to his father, "And for the record, I don't care if you say you take my badge! You can take it! But it doesn't change the fact that I'm telling you that you're wrong about Sebastian! He's perfect in his own special way and if you can't see that then you shouldn't be the one raising him! He deserves a better father than you, you evil little ba-" I felt a hand on my shoulder, "(Y/n), that's enough."

I shook my brother's hand off, "No! I'm not done yet!" I heard a sigh before a hand grabbed the back of my waistcoat, "You need to calm down, (Y/n). You've made your point."

"No! Let me at him! I need to teach him a lesson! Miles, let me go!" I got out of his grip before bringing a hand up to grab the rope-like object that was about to wrap around me, "And don't try to whip me, Franziska. You should know by now that I have quick reflexes." I grabbed Sebastian's hand and dragged him off, not wanting to be anywhere near his father ever again.

---------------

When we got back to my office and the door was closed, he hugged me and sobbed into my shoulder. I rubbed his back and led him to the sofa. Sitting down, he immediately snuggled into my side. I continued to rub his back trying to calm him down, however, I soon realised that that wasn't working and thought of a new plan. I pecked his forehead before starting to sing, "I know you, you're a special one, some see crazy where I see love." he looked up at me and smiled slightly. I returned the smile and continued singing, "You fall so low but shoot so high. Big dreamers shoot for open sky." I paused and took his cheek in my hand, "So much life in those open eyes, so much depth, you look for the light. But when your wounds open, you will cry, you'll cry out now and you'll question why."

"(Y/n), w-why d-do you love me?" he asked looking up at me again. I kissed his forehead again, "I can see a rainbow in your tears as they fall on down," I paused and wiped his tears away, "I can see your soul grow through the pain as they hit the ground." I took a break from the song, "Sebastian, I love you because you're you." I started singing again, "I can see a rainbow in your tears as the sun comes out, as the sun comes out." He smiled and hugged me, "Thank you."

I returned the smile, "I am here and I see your pain. Through the storms, through the clouds, the rain, I'm telling you, you cannot escape. You can do it, just feel baby. I can see a rainbow in your tears as they fall on down. I can see your soul grow through the pain as they hit the ground. I can see a rainbow in your tears as the sun comes out, as the sun comes out." I took a break from singing to kiss him, making sure he knew just how much I loved him, "Here comes the sun smiling down. Here comes the sun smiling down. Here comes the sun smiling down, smiling down."

"I love you, so much, (Y/n)."

"I love you too, Sebastian, don't you ever forget that. I can see a rainbow in your tears as they fall on down, I can see your soul grow through the pain as they hit the ground. I can see a rainbow in your tears as the sun comes out, as the sun comes out, I can see a rainbow in your tears as they fall on down. I can see your soul grow through the pain as they hit the ground. I can see a rainbow in your tears as the sun comes out, as the sun comes out." As I finished the song, I leaned in and kissed him properly on the lips, "Sebastian, don't you ever let him get to you, you are my rainbow. You bring light into my life every day when I see you. I love you so, so so much. Don't ever forget that, promise?"

"I promise. I love you too. I'm glad you do," he replied, yawning slightly. I smiled and brought his head down so he was lying on my lap, "Sleep well, Seb."
