Chapter 7

"Hey Dai-chan, can I see your phone?" Oikawa asked, looking up from his book. It has been a few weeks since classes started and, luckily, he wasn't loaded with work, well at least not yet. It was another lazy Sunday, Oikawa and Daichi were in their dorm room, taking the opportunity to rest before volleyball practice later. They didn't know where the others were, all they knew was that bokuto and Kuroo went out since they didn't hear any noise from next door. Oikawa was relaxing on his bed, reading "I'll Give You The Sun" by Jandy Nelson while Daichi sat down on his chair, chatting with Asahi on his laptop.

Daichi turned to face him, "Why?"

"Just want to see something," Oikawa answered.

"Is something wrong with your phone?" Daichi asked, handing his phone to Oikawa.

"Nope my phone is fine," Oikawa said when he got Daichi's phone.

Both Daichi's lock screen wallpaper and home wallpaper were the same thing, a dull yet pleasant nature scenery. It was one of those wallpapers that people use when they first got their phones. Oikawa cringed and continued to look through Daichi's phone.

It was extremely humdrum.

Not only did Daichi use such lame wallpapers, but he only had one game on his phone and the only social network he had and use was Facebook, which made OIkawa even cringe more. Additionally, his phone gallery was nothing but pictures of the Karasuno team and even more lame wallpapers.

"Dai-chan," Oikawa looked at him, "Looking through your phone is like looking through an old man's phone."

"What do you mean?" Daichi asked, "My phone is perfectly fine."

"Yeah it's perfectly fine but perfectly booooooring," Oikawa said in a somewhat singing tone.

"Oh yeah? Then tell me, what's so boring about my phone?" Daichi looked at Oikawa.

"Lack of interesting wallpapers, don't even get me started on your music taste, and Facebook? Really? Your life is so sad Dai-chan," Oikawa shook his head.

Daichi sighed, "Then any suggestions on how to make it not boring Oikawa?"

OIkawa's face lit up at the question, "I thought you never asked. I'm gonna make you an Instagram account and a Snapchat account."

"A what account?" Daichi was utterly baffled.

Oikawa shushed him, "Let me work my magic. I'm a grand king when it comes to volleyball AND social networks. I'm your fucking fairy godmother now, Dai-chan."

What did I just get myself into? Daichi thought as he rolled his eyes, "Fine you win."

"Hooray!" Oikawa exclaimed as he started installing Instagram and Snapchat onto Dachi's phone, "What's your email and password, by the way? I need it to make your accounts."

Daichi continued to talk to Asahi on their chat in Facebook as he answered, "Email is [email protected] and the password is volleyballcrows."

Oikawa looked at him, surprised, and laughed, "What kind of password is that?!"

"Nishinoya and Tanaka made it for me okay?!" Daichi explained. He cleared his throat, "I mean my former teammates made it."

Oikawa nodded, "Sure sure."

While Oikawa worked on his "magic," Daichi closed his laptop since Asahi stopped replying to his messages. He looked their clock, just a few more minutes until practice, he wondered if Suga was going to be there. Daichi went over to his bed and lied down, staring at the white, barren ceiling. His wall was so empty too, maybe I should put a calendar or poster there?

Just when Daichi thought he was about to fall asleep, Oikawa disturbed his atmosphere of peace, "Instagram and Snapchat accounts done!"

Oikawa showed Daichi's screen to him, revealing Daichi's Instagram account, which was blank except for Daichi's profile picture.

"As you can see," continued Oikawa, "I'm already following you. I just told Boku-chan and Kuro-chan about both of your accounts so you're probably going to get notifications from them soon. Also I think I should make a LINE account for you too, it would easier to communicate with everyone else."

"Oh okay thank you," Daichi replied as Oikawa handed his phone back.

"You're welcome," Oikawa smiled, "I'll teach you how to use both of them later and seeing that you have nothing to post, I'll help you with that now."

"How?" Daichi asked.

"Like this," Oikawa grabbed Daichi's phone once again, went straight to the front camera and posed by using a peace sign and his signature smile, "get in the picture Dai-chan."

Daichi saw that he had no choice but to do what Oikawa told him to, he smiled as Oikawa took the picture. Oikawa examined the picture, "This looks perfect, post it later okay?"

Daichi nodded, "Okay," he looked at the clock again, "Well it's time to get ready for practice."

Oikawa nodded in agreement, "Yup."

Both of them started getting ready for practice and left with the other former captains.
