MATILDA! CHAPTER FIFTY TWO:
POGUELANDIA

"Attention, all passengers, all crew, report to the tween forward hull." The captain said "Attention, all passengers, all crew, report to the tween forward hull. That's an order. Repeat. All hands and all passengers report to the tween forwards hull Immediately" Liz looked up at the two boys near the grate.

"They did it. They took the bridge"

"That's our boy" JJ said before they took off the Grate "once they're in the hull, Liddy, Kie and I will lock them inside"

"I'll find Sarah and you get the Lifeboat"

"We'll meet you load the cross and get outta here"

"Okay let's roll" JJ stated before being the first to exit through the small hole. Liz was next, followed by John B and Kie.

Kie and Liz were pressed against the opposite sides of the wall while JJ stood agaisnt Liz. Voices were heard as a group of men passed.

"How many?" Liz mouthed and Kie held up three fingers. Liz held onto JJ as she heard Wheezie and Rose talking.

"That's all the crew"

"Except ward. We need Ward"

"We can't wait" Liz stated before they two sighed and ran towards the door of the Forward Hull. They shut three door before yells were heard behind the door and Liz pushed along with JJ and Kie to keep the door shut so they could lock it.

"Lock it" Liz groaned before JJ put the lock on the door

"There's another door? There's another door" JJ repeated before running towards the other door and Liz followed. JJ quickly shut the door, easily locking it this time. They went to the latter and JJ was first down before Liz and Kie.

"Time to jack this Loot" JJ said before they got to the big box "here she is" they took off the cloth

"Surf trip?" Liz asked the two who nodded before they all dabbed up at the same time, before the top opened revealing Pope. The three cheered the boy on in excitement.

"The time where people do shit to us and we just sit back and take it is over!"

"Whoo that's our Pope!" Liz exclaimed before Pope ran back to start the crane. The three began to tie up the cross so they could lift it into the crane.

"Let's tie this baby up good" Liz said and a few moments later pope was able to ge the crane down.

"Take her up pope!"

Pope quickly lifted the Cross up, a little too fast and it began to swing. Pope pulled the crane far to the left so it flew to knock some things over.

"Your other middle!" Kie yelled

After Pope got the cross up, they went to go find John B with the life boat. They ran to the side and looked around to see where it was clear and they turned the corner to see the captain of the boat.

"Of course. There's more of you" he said and pulled out his very big knife. "Get down on your knees"

"Yeah that's not gonna happen!" JJ exclaimed before ducking and Liz did too as the man swung his machete. He swung it towards Kie but she dodged it and pushed his arm agaisnt the wall. JJ punched him and Kie opened the door to hit him with it.

"Where's John B?" JJ yelled

"John B!"

Liz and JJ both fought the man with a machete dodging as he swung it around. The man swung it at JJ before he was shoved down and hit his head. Liz looked at him before noticing the man was about to swing at Kie.

"Kie!" She yelled before JJ jumped at the man. The man elbowed him and swung his arm back to go swing at Kie and hit JJ in the head sending him overboard. Liz gasped before kicking the man as he wasn't paying attention, punching him in the face sending him down before looking overboard to see JJ face down in the water.

"JJ!" She yelled, before taking no time to jump in the water after him and Kie was not to long after. Liz landed next to him and she treded water to try and lift JJ up. She felt her heart race as she called JJs name and Kie came to help keep him up.

"JJ! Please wake up!" Liz cried "J please!"

"J stay with us!" Kie called

"Sarah! Help! John B!" She yelled "they're coming okay?"

"John B!" Kie asked as the two girls struggled in the wavy water, and just as Liz was about to lose hope a boat came into sight. John B, Sarah, Pope and Cleo all helped Kie and Liz get JJ into the boat and they quickly drove away. Liz only focused on JJ and nothin else around her.

"J please wake up she pleaded "please" she said tapping his chest before he started coughing. Liz let out a huge sigh, holding onto the boy. JJ looked down at her hand and back up at her.

"Hi" she gasped

"Sup" JJ said and Liz laughed, before being the boy into a hug

"Always looking for attention right?"

"Whatever it takes"

"What happened?" JJ asked

"Blunt end of a machete" Liz told him before taking a small cloth to the back of his head.

"Machete?" JJ asked, a smile on his face

"The blunt end" Kie added once again

"Next time duck" Cleo suggested

"I'll try to remember that next time, thanks"

Liz watched as Pope looked over to the boat and he sighed.

"Shit ain't over"

"No it ain't"

After spotting the first but of land, they decided to stop there. Liz, Sarah, Cleo and Kie sat on the rocks as the boys pulled the boat to shore.

"Good job Boys" Liz said

"JJ you alright there buddy?"

"Yeah still a little dizzy" JJ answered and Liz turned her head as he came beside her "okay anyone know where we're at?"

"Deserted beach. Unknown island"

"Alright I'll take that as a no." JJ sighed "plan A pope. That went well."

"This is the lowest we can go. We literally have nothing else to lose. The cross, gone"

"The gold, Gone"

"Seriously if we had a nickel for everytime we got beat up, I'd say we're at a dollar fifty"

"It be more than we have now" Liz said

"Somehow that doesn't make me feel better" Sarah told her

"Yeah your right. But we've... we've had some good stuff happen"

"Name something"

"Uh... Uh the boiler room" John B stated "I mean if the builder didn't explode I wouldn't have got away from Rafe, I couldn't have gotten the Zodiac and gotten us out of here"

"That wasn't luck. That ting was gonan blow the second I stopped feeding it"

"Stealing my thunder Cleo" John B shook his head

"Sorry"

"Okay, JJ got his head from his ass and apologized to Liz" John B said

"And took way to long to do it" Kie laughed

"Pope your related to Denmark Tanny" John B told Pope "that's crazy"

"And I lost all his inheritance"

"You know what?" John B stood up "guys this is it. This is the pogue life. We are in the Caribbean. It's our own little slice of paradise. With my best friends with my family. So I don't know. I wousjnr want to do it with anyone else. Look while you guys were complaining about every little thing..." John B walked towards JJ "JJ" he said and JJ pushed his knife into the tree "I was looking at those burly leafs" John B pointed to the waves

"There's some slabs out there"

"Just a few"

"Kie, Lids you see that? I know you wanna get out there"

"No boards"

"We we can body surf till we make boards"

"Come on man"

"They do look pretty tasty"

"They do"

"There's body around. We could squad here for a bit. Kinda belongs to us now, huh?"

"You got a point"

"Seven way split?"

"Poguelandia"

"Oh boy"

"I claim thee poguelandia. I like the ring of it. I'm gonna make a flag. It's gonna have a chicken on it. With a Coconut bra smokin a J...in crocs" JJ stated and Liz laughed

"I could use a J"

"Can we vote?"

"Shall we get to work?" Pope asked and John B nodded. Liz looked up to JJ who looked down at her. Liz smiled. JJ pulled her up.

"My Pogue princess" he said and Liz laughed

"My pogue Prince" she mocked in a posh accent and he laughed, looking down.

"Hey" she said, using her hand to lift JJ's head "we'll be okay" JJ nodded

"Do you wanna get married? you know like John B and Sarah did?"

"We'll I'd have to think about it" Liz said, looking up at the sky for a moment "yes duh" Liz laughed

"I don't have a ring" JJ said

"That doesn't matter... a ring is like the kookiest thing ever right?" Liz asked and JJ smiled

"Yeah. Yeah it is"
