MATILDA! CHAPTER FOURTY NINE:
THE ESCAPE

When Liz woke up she felt herself come to a stop. She opened her eyes to see herself in the front seat of a truck. She liked next to her to see Rafe getting out. They were at the Cameron's house. The side door opened and Rafe reached up to remove the rope from Liz's mouth. Rafe grabbed Liz and pulled her out of the truck making her stumble slightly before she attemptted to run but Rafe had a very tight grip. She turned around thrashing herself.

"Let me go!" She screamed "let me go!" Rafe pulled her up and gripped onto her face

"Shut up"

"Why am I here?" She asked "Where's Renfeild?" She asked looking up at Rafe who looked down at her.

"He's not gonna be... uh... with us anymore" Rafe stated before Liz's eyes widened as he walked, dragging her with him.

"You... you killed him?"

"I didn't, okay it was Carla he was laughing at her"

"The blonde lady?" Liz asked as he held onto her arm tightly. She groaned.

"I had nothing to do with it" Rafe stated and she sighed before he brought her inside. He pushed her into a room where she was immediately locked into. She banged the door. "Rafe!" She screamed "Rafe let me out!" She screamed pounding on the door.

Liz paced around the small room for what asked like hours before she heard steps coming down the stairs. "Rafe! Let me out!" She screamed before the steps came closer.

"Liddy?" Sarah's voice came from the other side of the door

"Sarah?" Liz smiled

"I'm gonna let you out okay? you have to go to the front and find John B, Pope and JJ"

"What happened to Kie"

"Pope crashed Kies dads car" Sarah explained as keys jingled "he was on drugs and than we got busted" the Key whole turned and the door swung open revealing Sarah

"Oh my god I'm so glad your here" Liz jumped into Sarah's arms for a moment and Sarah led her to the door.

"Go, go, go" Sarah told her before the door shut and Liz immediately ran towards the stone fence of the Cameron's house. She quickly spotted three heads from over the fence but saw a light shining. Form far away she could hear an old man talking so she crouched down.

"...the Knight of the Rhododendron lives on.. in here" she hear JJs voice say "that's why we planted those flowers"

"Sure. Yes"

"Yep. That's why" the two boys agreed and Liz turned around to see Sarah backing away from the truck before she was abruptly grabbed. Rafe.

""No, that's more like, I'm... like, uh sir that's a natural Viargra"

"Okay!"

"That's what it is"

"Really?"

"One snuff and bam! it's hammer time! You know what I'm saying?" She heard JJs voice exclaiend and she furrowed her eyebrows

"Our associate Tommy should be here any minute"

"We'll be quiet okay and we'll finish up here, I'm so sorry to bother you"

After a few moments after she saw the light disappear and the motor go further away. She let out a sigh before the three boys jumped over the fence.

"Jesus Christ" she exclaimed and she saw the three pogues as they turned to look at her in surprise.

"Holy shit" John B muttered before the three jumped at her, hugging her. Liz groaned, as her arm.

"Hey" she spoke, the pain slightly in her voice and the boys backed away from her.

"Guys I tried to protect the cross. Renfeild and Rafe cornered me and than drugged me with some weird shit and n-now Renfield is dead Rafe said Carla shot him and I'm—"

"Lids" Pope interrupted her and she looked up

"Did Rafe do that?" JJ asked, pointing to her arm

"Yeah" she nodded before hearing the door open "Rafes coming out, come on" she lead them further into the Cameron's property. Pope tried to run forwards but JJ and John B grabbed him.

"Than what do we do? What's the plan?" John B asked

"We'll he might have the gun so, uh, what's in our favor?" JJ asked "element of surprise, that's what's in our favour right now" Liz listened to JJ as she crouched down. The truck approached passed them as Rafe drove. Liz felt herself drown out the sound of JJ and John B bickering as she watched the truck pass and Rafe didn't look happy—even more than usual.

The next thing Liz knew Pope was gone from beside her, chasing after the truck.

"Pope!" She exclaimed, catching the two boys attention as he caught up with the back of the truck and hopped onto the back.

"What was that shit?" John B asked "we got the house right there"

"Rafes gone. Now let's storm the Fort" JJ suggested before the door opened

"Hey, hey, get down" Liz told the two as they leant down in the bushes to see Rose coming out of the house. Wheezie was with her and they were carrying Sarah.

"Dude they got Sarah" JJ muttered and the car began to drive  and just as it was about to pass them the three shot up and began to hit the car door.

"Hey slow down!" John B ScreenRant

"Wheezie unlock the door!" Liz exclaimed

"Wheezie!"

"Wheezie please!" Liz exclaimed as Wheezie looked around in panic. She shot liz an apologetic look before Rose floored onto the gas throwing John B, JJ and Liz off the car and tumbling to the ground. JJ was quickest to recover as he helped Liz up and John B.

"Come on! Let's get to the Twinkie!"
