54. A GIFT FOR YOU

54. I HAVE A GIFT FOR YOU

It was another morning of waking up in his arms, Lena wanted nothing more than to wake up in Darian's arms every morning, it felt like her haven in the world.

It was finally the game day for the Dawson family mafia, and Lena was exhausted. Last night Darian was hot, the best they've ever had since they started their sexcapade. Darian had made love to her in every corner of their bedroom and her legs were mildly hurting.

"We will be late if we don't get out of bed now," Darian traced soft kisses down her neck. "Or do you want me to continue from where I stopped last night?" His husky voice boomed in her ears.

She moved her body away from him, she knew well that Darian wouldn't hesitate to have her that morning if she didn't stop him.

"I'm serving today, I guess you don't remember that." She got off him and out of the bed, draping her body with the duvet. She left him naked on the bed, "You should get your ass off that bed and go have a bath."

"I don't want to, though," he jerked his shoulders.

"You have to, you are the Don. Get off that bed this damn minute." She said sternly, wriggling her fingers as she communicated with him like he was her child.

"Really?" He reached for her fingers and pulled her. She fell on his legs, and Lena shuddered when she felt a dampness between her legs. Darian was naked and she was sitting on top of his legs, his groin directly in between her legs.

"Let go of me, Darian. I have to get ready," she fought to free herself from his hold, but it was ineffective.

"I will, don't fight it." He kissed her cheeks. "I spoke to Talia and she said you could resume work as her assistant after today's game."

"Oh my!" She exclaimed, wrapping her arms around his neck. "Thank you so much, I am so excited. I will be free from the shackles of Amy and…" She halted, she wasn't supposed to say that. Now Darian would ask her questions.

"You told me she wasn't a threat to you, were you lying to me?" He arched his eyebrows at her.

"Darian, I wasn't lying, okay? I have to go now." He let go of her this time. Lena headed to the bathroom, she was about to shut the door when he slipped in, naked. "Darian," she stared shyly at him.

"Hmmm, are you afraid that I would make you drool?" He pulled her closer, encircling his arms around her waist. He kissed her deeply. "Lena, you are making me do things I have never done."

"Darian,"

"Yes?" He moved over to the male bathtub and crouched down inside, his eyes on his wife as they had their baths in separate bathtubs, he wanted her in his arms, he wanted to bathe her clean and do many other things to her. She was his drug, without her, he wouldn't function well.

Darian wiped his hair with the towel, he wore his trousers and slipped on his crisp blue shirt when his body was dried. Lena gave his suit jacket to him, he wore it over the shirt and went to check himself in the mirror.

"You look so hot," Lena yelled from behind. "Hey hubby, check me out."

Darian turned around to check her, she quickly took pictures of him, smiled and showed the pictures to him. "You are so fine, man!" She winked at him.

"I know that and isn't that why you can't resist me?" He smirked. "Pose for the camera, I want to snap you too." He got a hold of his phone that was on the vanity table. "I don't know how to take pictures but I do know that you will look so good no matter how horribly I snap you."

"Yes, you are right." She placed her hands on her sides and smiled brightly, her blue dress perfectly hugged her body and revealed her long-toned legs. Her hair fell across her shoulders giving it a gorgeous look. Darian was melting as he took a picture of his beautiful wife.

"Come here," he gestured to her, and they stared at the pictures together. "I don't know how this social media stuff works but I do know how to make a beautiful lady my wallpaper." He clicked on the pictures and set the one he loved most as his phone's wallpaper. "And it's done!"

Lena smiled, she scrolled through the pictures of Darian taken at the lotus lake and made it her wallpaper too.

"Now we are even," she showed it to him.

"When did you take those pictures?" He asked.

"You have no idea I have so many photos of you on my phone. Over a thousand, I take your photos every fucking day."

"I haven't noticed that," he smiled, adjusting his tie.

"Are there other families coming over for the game?" She asked him as she applied a bit of lip gloss on her lips to make them shiny.

"No, we don't invite other families. Just people from the Dawson family. It's always fun, you know? The Don gets to play with every member, and a bet is placed in the last game." Darian explained to her.

"Oh, so you are playing with everyone today?" She asked him, mouth wide open.

"Yes, everyone. It's nothing serious. I have played those games with Gaius for years and I know the tricks and all. I am certain none of them can beat me." He said. He wasn't certain he would beat Gaius though, he had never had a competition with him. The games he played with him were just friendly ones.

"You are so sure of yourself. What do you intend to bet with?"

"This is my first time playing as the Don of the mafia. I haven't thought of anything yet. Can you help me with that?" He took her hands and hugged her.

Lena shook her head, "My car? The new car you just got me. What about that?"

He let go of her, his expression turning grim. "I got that for you, why would you even suggest that?" He asked, disappointed. "Don't you love it? I can change it for you if you want, I can buy you a new one. What type and brand do you want?"

"I love the car, Darian. I only suggested that because there is nothing else that's on my mind. I don't even get to drive the car, but I do love it and I appreciate your gift." She took her hands in his. "Talking about gifts, I got something for you too." She pursed her lips.

"You got me a gift?" He was surprised and it seemed strange to him. No one had ever considered buying him a gift.

"Yes, you got me a whole car and it's only fair that I buy you something too." She smiled.

"You know I don't mind, you didn't have to Lena." He sighed.

"I had to, but it's something so small, I bet you've received better gifts than that."

"What's it?" He asked with curiosity laced in his tone. "What's the gift you got for me?"

"You have to close your eyes while I bring it to you. Promise that your eyes will remain closed." She tilted her head and smirked at him.

"What gift is that?" He agreed to close his eyes. "Do not take too long, I don't like suspense, okay?"

"Sure, I will be right back!" She scampered out of the room to the guest room. She had kept the gift there because she didn't want him to notice it at all until she gave it to him. It wasn't an expensive one, but it was one she had specially picked for him, the one her heart had picked for him. She got hold of the small box she kept in the wardrobe and ran back into the bedroom.

Darian's eyes were already opened when she got back. "You are cheating!" She shrieked.

"I told you not to take too long, but you did." He sagged his shoulders, moving closer to her.

"No, don't come here yet." She stopped him. "Now that I am back, can you close those eyes again? Please." She playfully moved her head to convince him.

"Just for a few seconds," he shut his eyes. "I will count from one to thirty." He said, "One, two, three."

Lena stepped forward, took his hands, and slid the personalized bracelet she had gotten a few days back when she went out with Harrison. "Open your eyes," she threw her hands to the back and smiled.

Darian felt her touch his wrist, he looked down to see the silver-coated bracelet sitting pretty on his wrist, he gently stroked it and checked it out. There was an inscription on it. "Mine," he read aloud, resting his gaze on Lena.

"Yes, I have always wanted to call the man I'd marry mine, and that suits you well. You are mine, Darian." She studied his expression, it was blank. She bit her lips in chagrin. Maybe she should have gotten him something better than this, she thought.

"Thank you, Lena." His face blossomed with rich smiles that melted her heart. "I will keep this well." He assured her.

"And this too," she handed a small box to him. "I don't want you to read it now though."

"You wrote a letter to me?"

"I guess you don't know that I keep a diary too," she slipped the box into his hand. "This box contains the key to the diary that I have kept about you."

He was impressed, "About me?"

"Yes, there are so many things in there. You can read it whenever you need to smile. I wrote some good things that would make you smile too." She patted his back. "They are all my real intentions,"

"Why can't I check it out? I'm eager to read the things you wrote about me." He followed her out of the room.

"We will be late for the game at the casino, I didn't plan to give it to you today, but I just couldn't help it." She smiled mischievously. "You don't even know where I kept the diary, that should be your first question."

The bodyguards outside all bowed to them when they sighted both of them. Lena and Darian acknowledged them.

"There is no need for you to come with us today, I am going with her," Darian told the bodyguards, and they bowed their heads in response. He motioned to Jay to get the car, they climbed in and the questioning continued.

"So, where is the diary?" He asked.

"I won't tell you yet," she giggled, enjoying taunting him.

"You are so difficult to deal with," he sighed, giving up. "I know you will tell me though."

"Yeah, soon." She sneered.

"Jay, is there any news yet?" He questioned.

"No boss," Jay figured he was talking about reports about the whereabouts of his mother. That was the only task he had assigned to him lately. "I am still looking into it, I will inform you as I get my hands on some important information."

"Thank you," Darian said. He didn't want to tell Lena about it yet. He wanted to find tangible facts before he told her. For now, he was being discreet about it.
